Made in China, I guess we should not expect anything

By Dori H. , Huntley, IL

Last only about a year, then start really sticking. Need to improve the overall use of the pots and pans. They do not last. There is no warranty so I guess they only last about a year. Please make your product better then I will purchase again.

Length of Use: 6–12 months

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Pros and Cons

When new it's ok

Doesn't last long before all food starts sticking

Horrible quality

By Andrew O. , San Antonio, TX

I don't know who was reviewing these out on the shopping sites like Amazon and Bed Bath & Beyond because we followed the instructions and these things started sticking during normal cooking within 3 months and were completely useless by 6 months. And their warranty is only 90 days, but the shipping and handling costs alone wouldn't be worth doing an exchange anyway. Avoid at all costs!

Length of Use: 6–12 months

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Pros and Cons

Price

Poor quality

Rapid deterioration

Terrible warranty e.g. 90 days

Horrible company

Purchased a Blue Diamond cookware set from Bed Bath & Beyond, and after 9 months the pans started pitting on the bottom. Sent a complaint and pictures to the Blue Diamond warranty dept TWICE with no response. Pans are garbage and a waste of money. A horrible company that does not honor its warranty claim.

Don't waste your money!

By Kelly W., Republic, MO, Verified Reviewer

These pans started peeling and chipping after just a few months of light wear. Reached out to the company and was told that, "The great thing is that our products are free of PTFE, PFOA, cadmium, and lead, so scratches, dents, or pits in the Thermolon coating will not affect the safety nor the performance of the pan."

This was her answer to me complaining about the coating flaking off in my food. I have only gotten the runaround from this company, they have no shame.

The pans are junk and customer service is a joke!

Horrible product

By Robert J., Chicago, IL, Verified Reviewer

Blue Diamond is easily the worst pan I ever purchased. Food sticks to it since day one. I use oil or butter but the food still sticks like crazy. Forget about frying eggs in it. It turns eggs into garbage. Highly disappointed.

Length of Use: Less than 3 months

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Pros and Cons

It fits easily in the trash bag

All food sticks even though I follow directions to the letter

Paid 35 bucks for this piece of crap

After a year of light use, can’t scrub it clean. Eggs stick to the pan but the worst thing is it won’t come clean. Somehow it got scratched. We only use soft Teflon tools on it.

Fix your Blue Diamond pan's sticking.

By Albert P., Minden, NV, Verified Reviewer

After a week of use, even bacon was sticking. Once the pan was cool it was easy to clean but everything would stick on the next use. After cleaning a pan bottom with baking soda and vinegar, I tried that on the inside of the frying pan. That restored the nonstick surface for a couple of uses if using butter and low heat. It's a pain, but I won't throw the pan away now.

I would give it zero stars if I could

By Diana S. , Broward, FL

I have the 8-inch sauté pan. Almost every time I use the pan, it leaves a sticky, gluey-like substance on my glass top stove, which I have to scrub for a long time to remove. I'm throwing this piece of crap out. Do not buy!

So so

By Melissa W., New York, NY, Verified Reviewer

I purchased a set of Blue Diamond cookware after watching the advertisement. I initially fell in love with the color and decided to give them a try. Upon receiving the set, I was disappointed with how small the pots were, and still went against my better judgment and kept them.

Pros are they seem to be nonstick. The con is the inside of the pan started to chip. I ordered from Macy's department store, what a waste of $100.00.

Dangerous heat

By Elizabeth M., Iowa, Verified Reviewer

I do not recommend this pan. I had no problem with the cooking, but I do not recommend it for anyone, the handle gets scalding hot, and I burnt my hand pretty badly last night - the handle is hollow and the heat goes up into the handle and it gets really really hot. I had to go to the walk-in clinic because I got such a bad burn from it. They need to change the handle design and make sure they are not hollow. Beware. Beware, they really get hot, and there are no lids for them either.

Sticks

By Debbie H., Florida, Verified Reviewer

This pan sticks not as bad as some but it does stick. I would not buy another, it is not worth the money. It doesn't matter if you use nothing or if you use butter or Pam, it sticks. It is an easy cleanup.

Not as non-stick as advertised.

By Alexander C., El Centro, CA, Verified Reviewer

I'm sure you've seen the other reviews here, most have one thing in common, the pan sticks. At first glance, the pan is beautiful. It feels nice, and it does seem durable. None of that matters though if it gives you issues with cooking.

I was fortunate enough to receive the Blue Diamond for Christmas. Upon first use, the stick was evident. I didn't use the pan straight, I added oil. I assumed that perhaps it needed to be "broken in." Maybe 10 uses later, almost exclusively for eggs, it is stickier than ever. Oil, butter, nothing, it ruins eggs. Unfortunate. I would NOT recommend this product under any circumstances. A store-bought IMUSA non-stick works even better. Talk about disappointing.

Scrambled eggs stuck after 2 months of use

By Ilza S., McAllen, TX, Verified Reviewer

I wanted this pan to be as great as the commercials claimed. I bought mine at Khols. For a while, it was excellent with omelets and pancakes. I haven't had it very long, but use it daily, only with silicone utensils. I've never used metal, wood, or even scouring pads, and only a sponge for washing. When I make scrambled eggs, even though I always add a little EVOO, a film of egg gets stuck and I have to scrape it (with a silicone spatula) before it burns. I made French toast. The recipe said to oil the pan between slices. Now, there's a large patch of black burnt on oil and I don't want to scour it off. I'll look for a remedy online, but that wasn't supposed to happen, according to the commercials. That never happened to me with my Teflon pan. Scrambled eggs weren't supposed to stick either. The pan was excellent at first. About 2 months later, my Blue Diamond pan is not at all special. I took a pic of the burnt oil patch, hoping to upload it somewhere.

Start off good, but not anymore!

By Ed C., Connecticut, Verified Reviewer

This Blue Diamond pan start of great, then now 6 months later never use extra virgin olive oil. Just butter or a slash of vegetable oil and eggs and other food like chicken breast, stir fry veggies is sticking. With little effort you can free the food from being stuck. But still stick, and stuck residue with a little elbow grease you are able to remove.

So, 2 stars. Other than that, it is better than the Copper crap out there.

Wow...burnt bad

By Dagny O., Missouri, Verified Reviewer

Oh my word, we brought our new skillet home, washed it, excited about a new non-stick pan. First of all, yes, the handle gets unbelievably hot. I've got a bad scar to prove it. Also, after a couple of uses, noticed it was getting scratches. The warranty did say it was scratch resistance. If it wasn't for the hot handle and the scratches, it is a descent pan. Not worth the pain of a deep burn and recovery time from it.

Sticking

By Michelle C., Troy, ID, Verified Reviewer

I don’t heat the pan but recently it begins to gain. I have only had it for two months. I’m wondering if there is a way to get it to stop sticking. There are no scratches but it definitely won’t cook an egg at this point. Very expensive for the quality. Also, I have never run either pan through a dishwasher.

Waste of money

By Ramon R., Bradenton, FL, Verified Reviewer

I bought the complete set. I have only used the skillet to make omelets. I’ve used it perhaps 8-10 times. The pan doesn’t have a single scratch on it shows minimal to no wear but everything now sticks. This is a complete waste of money, don’t buy it.

Unhappy customer

By Roxanne D., Pinellas Park, FL, Verified Reviewer

Purchased the square griddle from Kohls, worked fine the first 2 times, cleaned up good. The 3rd time I used it, it started to smoke and the pancakes stuck and burned to it. I bought the pan solely to make pancakes on, nothing else has been on it and I use a plastic spatula and medium heat, the middle bowed up and now the pan is bent slightly sideways so it does not lay flat anymore. Very disappointed in this product. It did not clean up well at all, now it has some burnt black specks on it that I could not get off and hazy marks. All from just pancakes.

Worked for a while, now not so much.

By Roy S., Northeast Ohio, Verified Reviewer

This pan was referred to us by a friend. He claimed it was the best. Worked for a while...now everything sticks to it. Never overheated. Always oiled/greased. When cleaned, finish still looks like new. No abrasive scrubbers used on it. I got out my old Teflon frypan and finished up breakfast today. I'm going to gift the Blue Diamond to my friend. Maybe his wasn't used as much as ours.

I'm on my second set due to the fact that the frying pans ended with chips in bottom

By Linda B., Clinton, UT, Verified Reviewer

I received a set for Christmas, and I love how they cool, but like I said, the frying pans each ended with a chip in them just after if used a knife to cut some meat open to see how well it was cooked. Would recommend to a friend as long as I told them about my dealings with the pans.

One good...one not so good

By Robert C., Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Verified Reviewer

We bought two, 12" and 10". The 12" has seen far more cooking and heat and has done well. Rinse, wipe, dry, put away. However, the 10" has stained and the surface is splotchy. The majority of cooking on this 10" has been shredded hash browns, a small slab of butter with some spices added. Medium heat, 3 minutes flip for 3 minutes and serve. For whatever reason, this has marked the pan and is hard to clean. I have not used anything abrasive, just a regular non-metallic dish scrubber. I cannot get the pan back to its regular surface.

Length of Use: 3–6 months

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Pros and Cons

Oven safe

Typically, effortless to clean

Pan profile

10" pan has stained, surface is splotchy and will not clean

Price

Has not lived up to its reputation

Great for a little while

By Patricia A., Huntsville, AL, Verified Reviewer

The pan worked great for a while and was super non-stick. Then everything started to stick hard, even bacon. I never used any metal utensils on it and always hand washed it. I returned it to the store to find out what the "Limited Lifetime Warranty" was. They didn't know so I contact Blue Diamond customer service. They referred me back to the store even though I told them they could help. They also gave me another email to which I should send my question. Not sure why they couldn't have done that themselves. I sent it myself, however, no response from that as yet.

Length of Use: 6–12 months

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Pros and Cons

At first the pan performed great

Easy to clean

Didn't last long, everything sticks hard now

Retailer and customer service were no help with the "Limited Lifetime Warranty"

Bad smell when heating

By Thomas D., Newark, DE, Verified Reviewer

I purchased a 12 cookware set from Walmart. I read the instructions and washed the pans by hand, The pans seem to have a strange smell when they heat up, I'm careful not to use high heat on them. The smell has me concerned, the label says non-toxic but it sure smells toxic to me, so I'm thinking of returning them.

The other reviews are right, and I should have listened

By Scott L., Charlotte, NC, Verified Reviewer

In fairness, I've only had the thing a few weeks. Forever in search of pans that will last and not stick - I decided to try the square griddle pan. Out of the box, there is some sort of waxy-like coating. I couldn't get it off with gentle cleaning, so I decided maybe that's just the way it works. As that coating has broken down with daily use, the non-stick seems to be wearing off a little as well. But, never fear, I'm happy to use a little bit of oil - even the best pans can benefit, right? Well, the issue is that when the pan is heated, it warps up in the middle, so all the oil or butter goes to the edges - and so do eggs, pancakes, and other liquids. I never use more than medium heat, and I use the largest burner to distribute the heat more evenly. Upon cooling, the pan returns to flat - so it isn't me abusing it. Must be a design defect in the alloy blend used - it also doesn't distribute the heat well. So at this point, it's probably too late to return, but maybe I can save you the hassle. Doesn't live up to the hype. Alas, I'm still searching for a good non-stick pan.

Length of Use: Less than 3 months

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Pros and Cons

The hardness of the surface seems real - I have no scratches so far with proper use

Warps

Uneven heat-distribution
