About BlueZone Headband
Made from ultra breathable mesh microfiber, BlueZone Headband claims to slip over your head and allow you to comfortably listen to just about any Bluetooth enabled device, without disturbing others. Whether it’s your TV, smartphone, tablet, or anything else, BlueZone’s built-in speakers are claimed to give you crisp, clean audio at a distance of up to 30 feet.
Each rechargeable BlueZone Headband will operate for 8-12 hours and features direct-mounted volume control. When the time comes, simply pop the speakers out of your BlueZone and throw the headband in the washer.
It’s easy to see why the concept behind BlueZone Headband is so attractive: it solves a lot of problems at once. Now, you don’t have to worry about tangled earbuds (or sore inner ears), and you can still enjoy your content without bothering anyone else. After all, that’s why you’re here, right?
Before handing over your hard-earned money though, you’ve got some pressing questions. Can you expect BlueZone to work as well as the manufacturer makes it seem? Is there anything else that can compete? Is it a good value?
Let’s start by taking a look at exactly how devices like BlueZone Headband work.
What Is Bluetooth? Is it Useful on All Devices?
While the specifics behind the technology are far outside the scope of this review, Bluetooth is a “global wireless communication standard that connects devices together over a certain distance.” In a nutshell, it allows devices from third-party manufacturers to “speak” to one another, which can involve sharing information, or—as with something like BlueZone Headband—to transmit audio.
To accomplish this, any Bluetooth-enabled device will contain tiny pieces of hardware and software that send out radio waves “looking” for other Bluetooth devices. If requested by the user, these devices can connect with one another and wirelessly transmit data between one another.
How’s this play out for BlueZone Headband? While nearly all smartphones and tablets are Bluetooth enabled, as are many modern televisions (even inexpensive ones under $200), if your TV is more than a few years old, the chances of it featuring Bluetooth decrease exponentially.
Should you find yourself in this position, it appears that BlueZone Headband comes with a Bluetooth transmitter that plugs directly into the audio out jack on your TV and transmits the signal you need.
Are you in the rare position of owning a TV with no audio outputs or Bluetooth capability? If so, then it appears you won’t be able to use a device like Bluetooth Headband.
What About BlueZone’s 30-Foot Range?
Class 3 Bluetooth devices have a range less than 10 meters (about 30 feet), hence the manufacturer’s claim. The problem is that this range is largely dictated by the device sending the signal (in this instance, a smart device or TV), not the signal receiving it (such as BlueZone).
Given this, you might experience much shorter ranges depending on the device you choose to pair BlueZone Headband with.
Now, let’s find out if there are any other products like BlueZone Headband.
BlueZone Headband vs. the Competition
These types of devices can go by many different names—headband headphones, headband speakers, and Bluetooth headbands, to name just a few—but whatever they’re called, they’re all competing with BlueZone. Is there anything that necessarily distinguishes it from the competition?
Some of these headbands are made of different materials, and some may feature better quality componentry than others, but they all utilize the same basic design; small speakers that fit into tiny pockets in a headband, which communicate wirelessly. So, from this aspect, BlueZone doesn’t seem especially unique.
What about price? There are certainly higher priced options available, but it seems like most of these competitors fall within the $20 to $40 range. How does this compare to BlueZone?
How Much Does BlueZone Headband Cost?
Available in black or blue colors, two BlueZone Headbands are priced at $29.99 plus $6.95 S&H.
All BlueZones come with a 30-day refund policy, less S&H charges. Note: BlueZone’s Customer Service page on their website mentioned that the Deluxe model comes with a 90-day refund policy, although there wasn’t any mention of this product elsewhere on their site.
In order to request a refund, you’ll need to reach out to customer service at 866-649-0158.
Let’s take everything we’ve discussed up to this point and help you make an informed decision about BlueZone Headband.
Is BlueZone Headband Worth Your Money?
In our opinion (in addition to what we’ve covered), there are a few more things you should consider about BlueZone:
What Kind of Audio Quality Can You Expect?
We’re definitely not saying this is necessarily the case with BlueZone HeadBand, but based on our research and after reading thousands of reviews from customers just like you, As Seen on TV products don’t exactly have reputations for high quality or stellar performance.
Given this, we’d have to wonder just how good your media will sound running through BlueZone’s speakers. Unfortunately, without any online customer reviews for the product at the time of our research, there’s no way to know before handing over your credit card number.
How Much Money Are You Putting on the Line?
It’s great that BlueZone Headband’s manufacturer offers a 30-day refund on all purchases, but remember that you’ll lose your original $6.95, plus whatever it’ll cost to send it back to the company. As such, it’s not unreasonable to estimate that you could lose $10+ just for giving it a try.
Is there any way around this? You might be able to find similar options through online retailers who charge less for S&H. Or, given the immense popularity of Bluetooth headbands, you might be able to find one locally and eliminate S&H altogether.
Will BlueZone Headband Fit?
Finally, by all appearances, it seems like BlueZone Headband is one-size-fits-all. Given this, if you have an especially small or large head, it might not work well or be very comfortable. This is especially pertinent if you’re thinking about purchasing BlueZone for a child, as noted in their commercial.
Also, there’s no mention on their site that BlueZone’s speakers are waterproof, so keep this in mind if you’re thinking about using it at the gym and you’re a heavy sweater.

Probably a scam
I ordered this item two months ago, and they have not arrived. Email receipt had all my information on it and also had the order number of 1000060.
I called the customer service number that is listed on the website, and it is not available. This is probably a scam.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
