    Excellent customer service

    The product had good reviews, and my research ended up me purchasing two contracts. From the phone authorized agent to customer service, they were very courteous and knowledgeable about the product. Now I have a peace of mind that I have a reputable company to rely on if I have issues with my vehicles.

    Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    It's a scam

    I purchased this protection plan about four months ago. I was told I was purchasing the "New Car Coverage." Sounds good right? Well, it's not.

    I was told by the agent that the only difference between the comprehensive and the "new car" coverage was the "new car" covered GPS. While I was on the phone with this agent, he said "he could go through the coverage I had, but he didn't have time." Instantly I said "OK, you don't have time for me, then I don't have time to give you my money. I want my policy canceled, and ALL the money I have paid you guys refunded immediately. Since you covered nothing for me. The first issue I have with my car (a simple oil leak) you will not cover." I was paying for something that was never going to be used, by the majority of people.

    This is how they get you! It's a "play" on words. Which, in my perception, is a SCAM. Then this agent wants me to jump through hoops to get my refund back. Tells me I have to write a letter and send it into the company. A company of this size doesn't have a way to email it in? REALLY?!

    After what the agent says "we were arguing," took about 30-45 minutes to get a manager on the phone. I am given an email address to send it in to. Now, why am I having to pay a "pro-rated" amount? This manager tells me "it was for the time and miles you had the coverage." I never would have had this coverage had your company not lied to me. Another way they get you. Must be nice to make millions off the American People by scamming them. This company has NO INTEGRITY. It's not like I use my car a lot. It's a '08 Chrysler 300, and it just hit 80K miles this week.

    Please, fellow Americans, learn from my mistake and don't let them get you too!

    Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Not what it claims

    I would avoid ANY aftermarket warranty. This warranty has a couple of clauses that will always side with CarShield. The first is the pre-existing clause, the second being not having detailed maintenance records for previous repairs.

    In my case, I was denied coverage for a failing Alternator & Water Pump, neither of which have maintenance recommendations.

    Not being a mechanic, I took my car in once my vehicle began to make unusual noises (gas car sounding like a diesel).

    My claim was denied because they felt the problem was a pre-existing condition. Both components were working at the time of the repair, the Alternator was charging and the water pump was not leaking. The problems were the bearing inside both components.

    Having no way of defending their conclusion, I repaired my vehicle and canceled my policy.

    That was the best part of this transaction as they do make it relatively straightforward to cancel your plan.

    Bottom line: be you own CarShield. I now set aside $200 a month in a slush account in order to lessen the blow of repairs to my vehicles. If I never use it, I'll have a decent amount for the next time I need a down payment for a new vehicle, WIN WIN for me.

    Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Scam

    I warn everyone, DO NOT USE! As soon as we had a claim, after three months of being enrolled and having our car all up to date, they denied us our coverage. Total lack of customer service. I have never experienced anything like this in my life, nor my husband. What a great disappointment.

    Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    I did my research on this company before I enrolled into this warranty and I found that the company is reliable and the customer service was great. I just know that if and when I need them I believe they will be there.

    Great help inquiring about a price quote/transfer of previous account

    I initially called to cancel my service because I no longer needed it, but the lady on the phone did ask if I needed it for another vehicle so I told her yes, possibly. We ended up talking for a good 15 minutes going on about information regarding my new car. I just really wanted to get a price quote so I could debate on wither I should get this new plan. Throughout the entire conversation I never felt pressured nor did she insist on trying to sell me anything. In the end I felt very satisfied with how she took the time to answer my questions and help me out.

    Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    Older vehicle insurance

    Having bought myself an older vehicle, I reached out to the automotive industry for extended warranties.

    CarShield had the most thorough plans for older vehicles. My 2000 Honda CR-V qualified. Definitely gives me a peace of mind.

    Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    About when my payment was due

    I had a great time talking to customer service. They were able to help me out and answer my questions very quickly.

    I'm very happy with CarShield and I would recommend them to anyone.

    Stranded in Oklahoma

    I was driving cross country researching my book Baseballs and Battlefields when my 2013 Dodge Ram wouldn’t shift out of 4th gear. Luckily I found a dealer within a few miles. The truck coded a bad shift solenoid. Within 4 hours, the solenoid was replaced, tranny flushed, and I was back on the road! All I owe is 100 bucks and a filter. The dealer called them and made all the arrangements. CarShield is the best investment I've ever made. AMAZING.

    Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    Tragedy

    I wish to thank CarShield for understanding our situation dealing with unforeseen tragedy. As soon as things are taken care of and all is put to rest, I will be back in touch with CarShield.

    CarShield account

    I was contacted by mail by CarShield, so I called and in a few minutes fixed that issue. I was asked about my other vehicle that wasn't on CarShield yet, so after discussing that with Mike Dickens I put my other vehicle on there too. I have to say everything that CarShield says they do they did. This is a good company to deal with.
