Like most of the other brain supplements we’ve reviewed here at HighYa, Cognizera claims to enhance neurotransmitters in your brain.
In turn, this improves your memory and concentration, boosts your mental energy and clarity, and gives you “cognitive precision.” And all of this accomplished using only natural, safe, and effective ingredients!
All you have to do is take one pill of Cognizera each morning and its scientifically proven ingredient profile will increase your memory and recall, regardless of your age.
We’ve reviewed a lot of brain supplements here at HighYa, and in most cases, we feel like a broken record. Why?
Because these brain boosters generally make the same claims, feature the same handful of ingredients, and use similar selling tactics—many even feature the exact same website designs.
Is Cognizera any different? We don’t think so, and here’s why:
Problem #1: What’s In Cognizera?
Other than a “100% Pure Phosphatidylserine Complex,” we’re not told. (OK, we are told that it boosts neurotransmitters, but this is so vague it’s basically meaningless.)
The good news is that phosphatidylserine is listed as possibly effective for addressing some symptoms of age-related mental decline, although only when using the form derived from cow brains (vs. from soy or cabbage).
Phosphatidylserine might also be effective for improving some symptoms related to Alzheimer’s, although some studies haven’t shown any link. Also, the chemical might lose its effectiveness with continued use.
But without any additional information from the company, we can’t be sure if Cognizera contains enough phosphatidylserine to be effective, if it contains any other ingredients, or what kinds of reactions or side effects might occur. You’re basically putting a completely unknown substance into your body.
We’ve reviewed hundreds of nutritional supplements here at HighYa (more about this next), and in our opinion, if a company doesn’t tell you what their product contains, this should be your first big red flag.
What’s the second?
Problem #2: Customer Feedback
Did you know that when we make buying decisions, online customer reviews are as important to us as recommendations from friends and family? In other words, we value feedback from other consumers who’ve purchased something we’re considering.
To this end, nootropic supplements like Cognizera frequently receive negative customer reviews citing one (or more) of the following:
- Failure to work
- High prices and ongoing charges
- Poor customer service, primarily difficulty processing refunds
Next stop? Money.
Problem #3: Cognizera’s High Price
Cognizera is available in three quantities:
- 1 Bottle: $69.99
- 2 Bottles: $129.99
- 3 Bottles: $149.99
Fortunately, it doesn’t appear that Cognizera involves any kind of recurring shipping (aka autoship) program like so many other brain supplements.
The supplement also comes with a 60-day refund policy, less S&H charges and a $10 restocking fee. In order to request one, you’ll have to call 888-930-0942.
Pro tip: If you incur damages, Cognizera’s arbitration agreement means that you can’t take the company to court or become part of a class action lawsuit!
Based on what we’ve discussed so far, do we think any of these prices will provide you with a solid value? In our opinion, no.
Bottom Line: Will Cognizera Change Your Life?
Nutritional supplements manufacturers are very good at marketing their products, which they do by pulling on your emotion and eliminating your reasoning.
Take Cognizera for example: Wouldn’t it be great if there really was a pill that could send your brain into overdrive? One that would maximize your mental powers and give you an edge over the competition?
Just think of it. You’d be superhuman!
You want to believe this is true, and what it would mean for your life. Unfortunately, nothing like this exists—at least nothing we know about.
But we don’t mean to come down too hard on Cognizera though, because the reality is that they’re just following what hundreds of other products have done before them; overhyping their products and overcharging their customers in the process.
