Teeth always slipping off - no good!

I bought this belt with excitement about finally having something that was comfortable. So when I received it I realized I had to cut off several inches. So far so good, but I have a bit of a gut and after a few weeks the teeth part was tearing away from the belt, OK, just cut off another 1/4 inch. All is good, for about two weeks.

Bottom line is that I have had to cut off almost seven inches of belt, 1/4 inch at a time, so now it is too short to fit. I really like it when it works, but I have had it "break" too many times in public.

    The sliced bread of inventions

Absolutely fantastic! Call me lazy, but I absolutely love it for its easily accessible. I'm unusually abrasive on my clothes as I do construction. Never once has it let go of its intended setting. The belt adjusts in what looks like 1/4" increments. You won't believe how necessary that range of adjustment is till you use it. I sound excited, but it's rare things are as stated these days. This product has gone above and beyond and deserves the praise.

Being a guy with a bit of a gut and no butt, my days before Comfort Click were a constant battle to keep pulling my pants up. Especially at work. Now I'm hands-free to click and go. Wow, what a wonderful difference. I'm more than satisfied; it's the best $20 I've ever spent. And it's good looking and high quality.

    Terrible product, terrible customer service

The first belt I mailed back because it did not hold. It was the premium $34 belt nice with soft leather. The replacement was hard as a rock leather (maybe), no real way to tell for sure. It did not hold. I called to send it back for a refund and the customer service rep asked if I would accept a "$5 credit and give the belt to someone else." I said no I wanted a full refund.

I mailed the belt back and they received it on July 17th. Today is the 25th and they still have not credited my card. I called and they said it would be credited within 48 hours (funny they did not credit it when they received the belt). They are only refunding me $29.95 even though I paid $34 plus shipping for the belt. They said $4.99 is non-refundable. RIP OFF COMPANY. Stay away.

    Mixed feelings.

I bought two of these belts, and the first one fell apart when the rivets fell out of the buckle. I tried to contact the company and never heard back from them. The second belt is working fine. Not sure how long they will keep working.

    Ratchet, does not hold well

I was thrilled to receive the ComfortClick belt as a gift from my son.

It held quite well for a while, but due to my "beer gut," if I cinched it up tight to hold my pants at the hip, the belt kept slipping and loosening when I took a deep breath or flexed my waist.

My solution was to file the edge of the tooth that grips the notches in the belt so that the edge was sharper. It was awkward, but with patience, it paid off. Now the belt pretty much stays where I put it.

It was obvious that the tooth was too rounded and could have easily been manufactured with a sharper edge; all of this would have been unnecessary, and most complaints would have been avoided.

As the Donald would say: "Sad!"

    Do not order by telephone

I recommend that you do not attempt to order this product over the telephone as their phone agents tend to manipulate the phone conversation in such a way that you are not able to complete the discussion before the phone abruptly clicks off. In my case, as soon as I gave them the payment information the phone hung up. I immediately called back, and the agent told me that I would not be able to finish talking about my order. I told the agent that I was promised some incentives for making the purchase (gift cards etc.), and was told nothing could be done for two to six weeks. Bait and switch.

    Great, but!

I bought one of these belts, and it was so great that I ordered another one. After about a month it started slipping and would not hold. When I checked it, I found one of the rivets in the buckle was missing. I have tried emailing the company to get a replacement, and they have never answered me.

Need to do a little repairing

When I first got the belt, I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. Then the trouble began.

After about four weeks, I was out for dinner and had the belt set to snug for me, to hold my pants up. Unfortunately, I exhaled at the wrong time and found myself wearing very loose pants, and had to excuse myself to the men's room to figure out why? The way the buckle grasp is designed it only grabs about 1/4" of the belt, if that. Over a few weeks of exhaling too much, it stresses the grip and the buckle lets go, and you are held holding your pants up.

It is an easy fix, as you just have to trim off the bad 1/4" of the belt, and you are good to go again. Except, after weeks of stressing it, it will fail again. Repeat above process. After cutting off about 1" of the belt, I was fed up with the whole thing. I then had an epiphany and tried adding a small piece of Gorilla Tape to the end of the belt. About 1" x 3/4" long. Wrap over the end and problem fixed. Nope, not this time. The buckle still slipped out over weeks of exhaling. I am not wearing it too tight, as I need it snug to keep my pants up. I will adjust as needed, but still snug.

Another problem. Now the ratcheted part has failed from flexing the belt to fit into the belt loops of my pants. When I try to undo the belt for an obvious reason, it will snag in the ratcheted area and be difficult to open belt. After a hard pull, I can dislodge to snag and open the belt, but it is just a plain pain in the butt operation and item.

Belt kept slipping out of tracks.

I received my belt and was excited about putting it on. Once I got it on after trimming the belt, the belt kept slipping out of the tracks. Pants were falling down, however, I continued to adjust. After so much adjusting, I just gave up. The belt stressed me out. I returned the belt for a second try. I will see what will happen. I will let the forum know.

    Don't waste your money!

To begin with, you have to cut off an appropriate amount of the belt to fit you. Hopefully, you won't cut off too much. The issue I had was that once cut you, insert into the buckle, and fold a clasp that has serrated teeth, which then would press into the belt securing it.

I could not fold with my hands as the directions indicated. I called customer service to return, who said I should use pliers.

Frankly, $19.95 plus $4.95 shipping less for USPS to return. I found customer service very coy on how to return, and not helpful.
