CopperDERM is an anti-aging cream that contains a proprietary copper peptide complex aimed at effectively reducing your under-eye bags, wrinkles, and fine lines in minutes.
Regardless of your skin type, the manufacturer claims this cream can provide nourishment, stimulate aging skin, and deliver remarkable results. We're told it also fits in easily with your normal daily routine, and each application can last up to eight hours.
All of the claims made on the CopperDERM website certainly sound great, but will this copper-infused skincare formula really take years off your appearance? You’re here for some answers, so let’s dive right in.
What Causes Fine Lines, Wrinkles, & Under-Eye Bags?
Writing for Scientific American, Suzan Obagi, assistant professor of dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh and director of the Cosmetic Surgery and Skin Health Center, tells us that the natural aging process causes our skin to lose elastin, collagen, and glycosaminoglycans (GAGs).
Coupled with environmental and lifestyle factors (e.g. pollution, sun exposure, smoking, etc.), this can “give the skin the appearance of roughness, uneven tone, brown patches, thin skin and deep wrinkles.”
Aging and the resulting tissue and muscle weakening can also cause the skin around the eyes to sag. Fat can move to a space located underneath the eyes, which can also fill with fluid, resulting in the bags, puffiness, and swelling mentioned on the CopperDERM website.
To prevent excessive collagen and elastin loss, it’s recommended that you avoid too much sun exposure and stop smoking, while under eye bags are often addressed using drying and/or tightening ingredients that provide temporary relief. In a worst-case scenario, your doctor might recommend surgery.
Comparatively, how does CopperDERM work?
Taking a Closer Look at CopperDERM’s Ingredients
The only ingredient referenced on the CopperDERM website was a proprietary copper peptide complex. We spoke with three different customer representatives, although none were able to provide additional details. So, let’s quickly break down what we do know.
Similar to proteins, peptides are chains of amino acids that play important biological roles; specifically, they regulate the activity of other molecules. Even just referencing anti-aging products, though, ChemistsCorner tells us they are many different types of peptides, including:
- Neurotransmitter inhibitors – The inhibit the release of acetylcholine, which may help relax muscles associated with facial expression, thereby reducing wrinkles. Botox is a popular example.
- Signal peptides – These may help boost the production of collagen, elastin, and other proteins in the skin.
- Carrier peptides – These deliver trace elements like copper and magnesium to help improve collagen production, skin elasticity, and overall appearance.
- Enzyme inhibitors – Interfere with the process that breaks down collagen and other important proteins.
Obviously, without a label or additional information from customer service, we can’t know if any of these peptides are included in CopperDERM, or their dosages. What about copper peptides, specifically?
According to Truth In Aging, “Copper is something that exists naturally in our tissues. Depletion of it has for a long time been correlated with many degenerative diseases. One of the main roles of copper is being anti-inflammatory — it works by suppressing inflammatory cytokines — and there is a growing school of thought that increased inflammation brings about aging.”
They go on to explain that copper peptides have been shown to help promote collagen and elastin production, remove damaged collagen and elastin from the skin, and also act as an antioxidant.
Again, though, without more information, we can’t know if CopperDERM contains the same copper levels referenced in these studies.
How Much Does CopperDERM Cost?
One vial of CopperDERM is priced at $39.99 plus free S&H. During checkout, you’ll be able to double your order for a separate $19.99 fee, bringing your total to $59.98.
Note: None of the customer service reps we spoke with could provide information about the size of each bottle, although the site indicates each one represents a 30-day supply.
All CopperDERM orders come with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, less S&H and any other fees. Be sure to keep this in mind if you plan to place a double order.

Are There Other Copper-Infused Skincare Creams Like CopperDERM?
There were hundreds of different skincare products that claimed to combine copper with other ingredients at the time of our research—everything from creams and balms to sprays and liquid drops. Price ran the gamut, from as low as $13 to $200+.
Even when narrowing options down to only copper-containing creams focused on addressing eye bags, there were dozens of products competing with CopperDERM. How to choose the right option for you?
“Unfortunately, most available topical creams do very little to permanently reduce under-eye bags,” said Kally Papantoniou, a cosmetic dermatologist in New York. “Even clinical-strength gels only tighten the skin or reduce inflammation temporarily.” As a result, it’s important to keep your expectations realistic, regardless of the brand you’re researching.
In an interview with WebMD, Patricia Farris, MD, a clinical associate professor at Tulane University School of Medicine, recommends looking for options that contain vitamin C, peptides, retinol, ceramides, niacinamide, kojic acid, and hyaluronic acid. Why?
Combined, she indicates that these may help provide a variety of benefits that can address wrinkles and under eye bags by boosting collagen production, preventing water loss, improving elasticity, and concealing and lightening dark circles.
Based on our experience writing about hundreds of anti-aging and skincare products, as well as reading through thousands of reviews from customers like you, we’d also recommend looking for the following during your search:
- A full ingredients list, including concentrations (if possible)
- That the product’s manufactured by a widely known company
- Mostly positive online customer feedback
- The option to return the product for a full refund
Where does all of this leave you with CopperDERM?
Our Final Thoughts About CopperDERM
Based on what we learned earlier from professional sources and authoritative sites like WebMD and Truth In Aging, it appears that copper peptides, when included in anti-aging formulations, really could have a beneficial impact on fine lines, wrinkles, and under-eye bags.
On top of this, CopperDERM seemed to be priced at the lower end of the spectrum among the cream’s extensive competition, and Telebrands—the largest company in the ASOTV industry—appeared to stand behind it with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee.
However, considering the fact that the website doesn’t list any ingredients in the formulation, customer support wasn’t able to provide additional details, and you’ll be out a few bucks in S&H (or more if you ordered the BOGO offer) if you’re dissatisfied and decide to request a refund, we think it’s important that you speak with your dermatologist before placing an order.
After all, we’re consumers too, and we want to ensure you make the most informed decision possible and obtain the most value for your hard-earned money.
