Dr. Squatch Bar Soap

I got the soap and it’s amazing. Order and expect it to take a few weeks to get to you. Once it does, make sure you place your next order a few weeks before you are out. I highly recommend the pine tar. It comes off black but rinses clear and leaves you clean and smelling amazing.

I have ordered/placed 2 orders with Dr. Squatch. Each time there have been significant delays. I live less than 20 miles from their distribution center but their shipping time is terrible. You can see that the items are sitting in a mail center for over 12 days and never moving. When you contact their customer service they give you the same BS that you can view tracking. Well, I can view the tracking and the darn soap is not moving.

All in all, I found this product to be missing on so many different levels. Before using their products, I happened to clean out the shower pipes, which were running beautifully. After three months of using their products, the drainage is significantly slower. That's because many of their products leave a soap residue. It's especially pronounced with a black soap because you can see it staining the shower after as little as one use.

The company may be onto something in terms of trying to get buy-in from the public. Unfortunately, the products have to stand up on their own, and almost every product has issues. I bought three soaps, the wooden soap holder, and the complete shave kit with face soap, mug, and brush. The shaving soap works well; however, the mug is oversized, and the brush holder is minimalist.

They are working from the Apple playbook. You are to become an early adaptor, happy to promote their products and buy frequently. Unfortunately, the items of value to me were the green soap holder (it does keep soap bars from sliding out of your hands), and the wooden soap tray is good to have. As far as everything else, too many minor issues when trying to justify buying more.

I bought a sample kit with different types of soap. To me, it smells like Irish Spring, except for the Bay Rum, which I liked. It is not worth 7 bucks a bar regardless. If you do buy, get the Bay Rum.

I received 3 bars for Christmas and I will say they smell and feel amazing but only after 5 showers the first bar is gone. I feel for how much the soap costs it should last longer than a week. If you have enough money, which is around $43 for 5 bars, then this is the soap for you. After my little stash of soap is gone I will not be getting more.

I got a few bars and the shampoo conditioner pack and it’s a good product, but the cost is just outrageous and I can get other all-natural soaps for half the price, and the bars actually last more than seven uses. I’m upset. I was so excited that I found a good soap but then my 7 oz bar is gone after one week of showers. Great soap if you like spending a lot of money to be clean. I on the other hand feel the company is overpriced for the simple soaps they make.

To begin with, over $11 for 1 bar of soap. That includes shipping, but come on! I left the same review on their website – too expensive for what you get, smells no better than Irish Spring, doesn't get me any cleaner. And once again, way too expensive! If you use a washcloth, you might get 5 lathers out of that $10 bar of soap. Customer service wanted to make it right by sending me another bar, but once burned...

I placed an order for shampoo, conditioner, and soap nine days ago and it’s yet to even ship. I’ve contacted Dr. Squatch twice about the issue and have come to realize that their customer service can do nothing to rectify the situation. They can give 10% refunds which amount to very little. They can do nothing to actually get the problem resolved. I’m very disappointed since I was hopeful this was going to be a product I would have liked to try. I would recommend anyone looking to purchase from this company to seriously look elsewhere. Just a bad frustrating experience with no real customer service to help resolve the issue. Do not get yourself in this situation. Buy something else.

This soap is just bad stuff, the only good thing is that it does not last long. While that attribute has been documented as a negative, I saw it as the best thing this soap has going for it. I had thought a rat died in my bathroom, then realized it was the soap.

Save your money. My kids and I tried the soap, it only lasted less than a week, not worth the money. I would need to spend over $700 a year on soap at that rate. Also, it leaves a nasty film on your body, definitely not worth the money. Much better off with Irish Spring or Ivory soap. It also tells you something when they want you to leave 180 characters of a review. To tell them about their product.

I ordered some soap in March, it never showed up under my account. When I contacted them they had no idea if I had ordered or where my shipment was but they took my money. Then they started ignoring my contacts. After several emails and filing a complaint with the BBB, my money was finally refunded. Just today I get online to check my bank account and they are taking $19 again from me and this time I didn't even place an order, my account shows nothing in it, no subscriptions and no activity. Now it's back to playing games with them to get my money back. Their website does not allow you to cancel/close an account either so who knows how often this is going to happen.
