About E-VOSS Hair Loss Control

The hard truth is this: Hair is directly associated with beauty in our culture,. As a result, if you’re suffering from any type of hair loss, it can be devastating to your self-esteem.

To counteract this, E-VOSS Hair Loss Control claims to use apple stem cell technology to stimulate the scalp and promote the growth of new, healthy, natural, and more voluminous hair. In 30 days or less!

Best of all, E-VOSS tells us that the Hair Loss Control system can do this without any nasty odor, and works over the course of three convenient steps. And once your hair grows in, it’ll stay with you forever.

Look, we’ll be upfront and say that we think there are several red flags when it comes to E-VOSS Hair Loss Control. Does this necessarily mean that it’s a scam? Keep reading and we’ll tell you what we uncovered during our research.

How Does the E-VOSS Hair Loss Control System Work?

Perhaps the biggest red flag is that we’re told next to nothing about the Hair Loss Control program. In fact, based on their website, you have to squint and read the product labels to even know what you’re getting for your money—which, as it turns out, is an 8 fl oz bottle of shampoo, an 8 fl oz bottle of conditioning therapy, and a 4 8 fl oz bottle of treatment drops.

Important note: Toward the bottom of the Hair Loss Control website, the company also mentions that the System contains hair fibers (presumably similar to products like Caboki). However, we didn’t find this mentioned on Amazon (where it’s also sold), so it appears to be an error.

What ingredients does each of these products contain? All we’re told on the E-VOSS website is that they use “apple stem cell extracts, white tea leaf extract, saw palmetto, peppermint oil, and menthol.” Amazon adds, “protein complex minerals and antioxidants.” They also tell us about a “ProCap Complex formula that restores hair follicles and increases micro-circulation which promotes the growth of new, healthy hair.”

What do all of these have in common? There is little (if any) clinical evidence showing them to be effective for permanently regrowing hair. Although “protein complex minerals and antioxidants” certainly sound helpful, they’re too vague to provide much use in the case. And obviously, without a label, there’s no way to know what the ProCap Complex contains.

What about those stem cells, though? Aren’t they supposed to be at the forefront of medical science?

Can Stem Cells Help Regrow Your Hair?

We won’t get too science-y here, but some background information is important.

Whether we’re talking about humans or plants, stem cells (called meristems in plants) are undifferentiated. In other words, under the right circumstances, they can become any other type of cell in the organism. Stem cells can also continue dividing and creating other stem cells, who can then choose to either differentiate or remain a stem.

Here’s where the problem comes in: It might make sense (although there’s little—and mixed—clinical proof) that applying human stem cells to your skin provides some kind of benefit, since you and the cells are of the same species. On the other hand, what benefits might you realistically get from applying plant meristems to human skin?

As if this wasn’t enough, the fact of the matter is that stem cells can’t penetrate your skin, so they can’t make their way into your body or do much of any good, anyway. Red flag #2 (in our opinion) for E-VOSS’ Hair Loss Control system.

Ok, so the company is suspiciously vague about what’s contained in their Hair Loss Control program, and the clinical evidence for what little we are told is minimal at best. But are customers happy with their purchase?

We’ll talk about that in just a second. First, let’s quickly cover price.

How Much Will You Pay for E-VOSS Hair Loss Control?

One E-VOSS kit will cost you $59.99; two come at a reduced price of $84.99.

Regardless of the number you purchase, you’ll have 30 days to return Hair Loss Control if you’re not satisfied, less S&H charges. In order to request one, you’ll need to contact customer service at 347-285-7943 or customerservice@evossdnahaircare.com.

Is E-VOSS Hair Loss Control Popular with Customers?

The only online feedback we found for Hair Loss Control at the time of our research was on Amazon, where the system had 11 customer reviews and a 4.1-star average rating. Interestingly, despite the high ratings, most positive reviewers claimed they hadn’t yet seen results, but that it was easy to use and smelled pleasant.

The lone negative review claimed they “hated it,” based on no change in their hair growth and a “very greasy” feeling.

From a company perspective, E-VOSS’ entire line of hair care products is manufactured by Clio SC INC. based out of Bayside, NY. The company wasn’t listed with the Better Business Bureau, and zero additional information was available about them elsewhere online (you guessed it; another red flag).

Will E-Voss Help You “Get Back the Hair You Always Wanted”?

As we outline in How to Choose a Hair Loss Product, 55 million+ men and women in the US suffer from some type of hair loss, whether the result of genetics, vitamin deficiencies, grooming habits, excess stress, or the dozens of other causes. Granted, male and female pattern baldness (read: genetics) is the leading cause by a big margin, and it’s typically also the only permanent one.

Nonetheless, despite the huge number of people suffering from hair loss, the medical community doesn’t yet understand how it happens, so they’re almost certainly years (or perhaps even decades) away from discovering a cure.

Sure, products like minoxidil can temporarily slow or halt the process, but after a couple years, your body will likely become tolerant of the chemical, causing your hair loss to resume. You can also choose to undergo an in-office procedure through a company like Hair Club or Bosley, but they’re very expensive and come with a whole set of their own pros and cons.

As if all of this wasn’t enough, even if products like Hair Loss Control (or anything else, for that matter) did actually regrow hair, your follicles go through different phases, so your hair won’t be “permanent” like E-VOSS claims.

Based on everything we’ve discussed here today, unless you’re in the habit of putting unknown products, with almost wholly unknown ingredients, from a completely anonymous company on your skin, we’d recommend talking with your doctor about more effective hair loss treatments than E-VOSS Hair Loss Control.

    Not impressed

I don't wash my hair every day so the shampoo and conditioner has lasted for more than 2 months. It seems my hair is thinner and it is still falling out. The shampoo did make my scalp tingle but it's not worth the money.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
