About EpiSmooth

Using MicroSmoothing Technology that targets hair and gently removes it at the root, EpiSmooth claims to be a precision beauty device that works in seconds, without tweezing, waxing, or applying creams, and that keeps your skin smooth and silky for weeks.

And by providing the same quality hair removal as expensive spas and salons, EpiSmooth claims to be not only affordable, but to also be powerful enough to remove thicker hair, yet gentle enough to safely and effectively remove hair from legs, ankles, bikini line, upper lip, underarms, and more.

When it comes down to it though, is EpiSmooth really the “secret to long lasting results” and is it worth the money? Consider the following:

What is MicroSmoothing Technology?

In short, we’re not told, whether on EpiSmooth’s website or in their commercial.

However, ASOTV companies are notorious for making mundane, widely available technology seem revolutionary, and it appears to be no different with EpiSmooth. This is because it looks like EpiSmooth’s MicroSmoothing Technology simply involves a motorized “wheel” that grabs each hair it encounters as it’s rolled across your skin, and then pulls this hair out from the root.

As such, you might do a lot of wincing while using the EpiSmooth, especially in areas with more hair, or areas where hair is especially coarse or thick.

Will EpiSmooth Provide Long-Lasting Results?

Speaking of which, since you’re essentially pulling your hair out at the root (similar to tweezing or waxing), EpiSmooth’s “long-lasting” results will only last about as long as these other methods, which is highly individualized depending on the color of your hair, how fast it grows, its coarseness, etc.

Similar Options to EpiSmooth

Remember how we mentioned above that “As Seen on TV” companies like putting new spins on existing technology? This is important, because “electronic” tweezers,” “automatic tweezers,” and epilators are widely available elsewhere online, which you can see for yourself by inputting the above phrases into your favorite search engine.

In fact, epilators such as EpiSmooth are so popular that you’ll almost certainly be able to find one at a big box retailer near you.

We’ve reviewed many of the most popular epilators here at HighYa, including EpiTouch, Epilique, Tweeze, and more. In fact, if you compare its pictures with EpiTouch’s, it appears that EpiSmooth is just a rebranded version of EpiTouch (including the free Hair Wrap; more about this in the Pricing section), with no changes made to the design or overall performance.

What Are Customers Saying about EpiSmooth?

EpiSmooth was a very new product at the time of our research (URL registered May 2015) and didn’t have any online customer reviews available.

However, keep in mind that there are several other products out there with the name EpiSmooth, including a hair removal cream and an eczema cream. As such, when searching elsewhere online, you might want to input the phrase “EpiSmooth MicroSmoothing reviews” for better results.

EpiSmooth Pricing & Refund Policy

One EpiSmooth is priced at $10 plus $7.95 S&H, although you’ll be able to purchase a second for $5 more at checkout. With your order, you’ll also receive a Quick Dry hair wrap.

Note: If you only want one EpiSmooth, be sure to uncheck the box below on the ordering page.

All EpiSmooth purchases come with a 30-day refund policy, less S&H charges. This means that by the time everything’s said and done, you could lose $12+ in non-refundable S&H charges if you’re dissatisfied.

With this said, in order to request a refund, you’ll need to contact EpiSmooth’s customer service 262-787-2033.

Can EpiSmooth Help You Get Rid of Unwanted Hair?

Chopping to the point: In short, probably so, although how efficiently it will remove hair—and how much pain it will cause in the process—remains to be seen.

Because of these concerns, as well as EpiSmooth’s relatively high, non-refundable S&H charges, we might recommend exploring epilator or electronic tweezer options at local retailers before placing your order.

    I love my new EpiSmooth!

I absolutely love it! It does exactly what it says. I use it on the baby fine hairs on my face. It is 100% painfree, it doesn't tear the skin or leave red whelps and leaves my face feeling smooth and hair free. Great job.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    Does not work

This item sucks. It does not remove any hair. I am disappointed in the EpiSmooth. I do not recommend it to anyone. I have a bad back, so shaving is very hard for me, and I figured I would try the EpiSmooth. This item did no remove any hair on my legs, arms, underarms, and of course the private area. Please do not spend your money on this item.

    Waste of money

Don't waste your money! It didn't pluck a single hair, and I tried for over an hour on my upper lip. Very disappointed! I doubt I can take it back to the store since the package is destroyed. I do have the receipt though. Too bad I bought it in a store more than two hours away.

    $10 down the drain!

I purchased this from Fred Meyer (Kroger) last night. I never looked up any reviews and I had never heard about this exact one before, I just saw that it said "new and improved" on the packaging and that it was reasonably priced so I purchased it instead of spending the $40 on the Finishing Touch one I really wanted to buy. I should have just saved the $10!

This is complete junk. Yet another bad purchase to add to our junk drawer. I tried using it on my upper lip and noticed that NONE of the hairs were removed after an HOUR of trying to get it to work. I figured maybe the hair there was too thin or too short and attempted to try it on my arm, leg, eyebrow, and bikini area. I don't know why I continued to try on each area, but I was determined to find some use for it instead of admitting that I wasted my money. After HOURS of attempts, it seemed like none of the hairs I was attempting to remove were removed. I opened the chamber just to be sure and I was wrong, it had removed ONE hair through all of that. Yes, ONE hair! How ridiculous!

This has got to be some sort of scam. Otherwise, how dumb were the people who released this product?! Do not waste your money and definitely do not waste your time. If you see it on clearance or marked down on a really good sale, PASS ON BY! I wouldn't waste a quarter on this thing, let alone ten bucks!

This is garbage; it doesn't work at all. Don’t waste your money on this. I am going to give it back to the store where I got it from. Bad news.

Not any kind of razor I've ever seen!

I was very disappointed after trying the EpiSmooth. I took the cap off thinking that it would help but it didn't. All that it is is a rotating metal strip. I literally pressed it on hairs that were above my lip, and not a single hair was removed! I wish I would have read some of these reviews before I wasted my $10!

    What a waste of time/money

We bought this at Fry's in Roseville. My wife used it once, and it failed. The one time she DID use it, it barely removed any hair. I replaced the batteries and heard something like a screw rolling around inside. I could never get it to work. I called Customer Service (866)322-3588 and spoke to "Fay." As we were from out of town, we could not just return the item to the store. All I got from Fay was an apology. As we did not purchase online from As Seen On TV, they had no record of the purchase so could not refund. I did have the store's receipt. A short time later I realized she had hung up. No "Bye" or "So long." Unbelievably bad customer service.

    It doesn't work at all!

I purchased EpiSmooth at Bed Bath & Beyond. I have been searching for a good way to remove the unwanted chin hair. However, this device does not remove any hair at all. I tried it on my chin, upper lip, even on my arm, but none of the hair was removed, and there is no hair (of course) in the appliance. I am very disappointed.

    EpiSmooth rip off

EpiSmooth should be banned from TV commercials. The product does not remove hair unless it's the peach fuzz hair on your face, but even then it takes several attempts. I felt like the skin on my face was being damaged by putting pressure to try and get the results that were illustrated in the commercial.

When you go online to return the item, it gives a wrong phone number. By the time you did return it, you would lose money. I paid $23.00 for one order, which included "buy one, get one free," plus shipping and handling, plus tax. The original cost was $10.00.

Don't waste money on the EpiSmooth

    • Rhode Island,
    • Aug 11, 2017

This is an absolute waste of money. I ordered one, why would I need two? However, that is what they sent and charged me for two and that useless free towel. Free? Really? Shipping and handling cost enough. It took so long to come in that by the time I finally had the chance to try it, my trial period was up, and I couldn't return them.

The poor business practices of this company aside, the product is garbage. Gentle? Bull-ony! Tweezing is less painful, and it works better. It stung like crazy on my chin, and I can't imagine using this product on a sensitive area. At least with waxing, it's over quickly. This is just plain torture.

Bottom line, don't waste your time and money on this piece of junk. I only hope that none of the Sharks were involved with the marketing of this scrap pile of reject transistor parts. I would prefer to give this product NO stars.
