FolliPlex manufactures a line of hair loss products that are claimed to naturally fight hair loss and to strengthen hair from the inside out. According to FolliPlex, this is accomplished using only 2 products:
FolliPlex Max Hair Growth – Specifically formulated for men, this is claimed to be a clinically proven supplement that blocks DHT from causing hair loss, while also “revitalizing hair follicles, enhancing blood flow, and replenishing nutrients in your scalp.” According to the company, you should take 2 capsules per day.
FolliPlex Pro Serum – A topical solution that’s claimed to use natural ingredients clinically proven to prevent hair loss by widening hair follicles and preventing the formation of DHT. In addition, Pro Serum is claimed to promote fuller, thicker hair by applying directly to the scalp and massaging using deep, circular motions up to 5 times per week.
Is FolliPlex an Effective Hair Loss Treatment?
To keep it short and sweet; there’s no way to know. Why? Because none of the ingredients contained in FolliPlex products are listed on the company’s website, so there’s no “hard” information that can be examined.
During our research, we found this Quora thread claiming that FolliPlex contains folic acid, while an advertorial (from the manufacturer) posted on HealthTrendsOnline.com claims that it contains biotin and pantothenic acid, but makes no mention of folic acid.
Regardless, according to WebMD, there is insufficient clinical evidence available showing that folic acid, biotin, or pantothenic acid can provide you with any kind of hair loss benefits. In addition, as we mentioned in our recent article about how to buy hair loss products, only minoxidil and finasteride have been clinically proven to slow or stop hair loss, and in some instances, to regrow hair.
FolliPlex’s Advertising Tactics
In addition to the one noted above, it appears the manufacturer created another Health Trends Online blog that appears (at first glance) to be a legitimate article discussing how Piers Morgan re-grew his hair using FolliPlex products. However, there is no third-party verification of this, which is also a common dishonest tactic that less-than-stellar nutritional supplements manufacturers use to promote their products.
The is no third-party online verification that Piers Morgan has anything to do with FolliPlex.
Are Customers Regrowing Hair with FolliPlex?
There were very few online customer reviews for FolliPlex products at the time of our research. ComplaintsBoard.com lists 2 FolliPlex complaints, both of which appear to reference difficulty with an independent representative selling FolliPlex products. In addition, two readers responded to a question on Yahoo Answers and claimed that FolliPlex is a scam, due to complaints of being overcharged and of products that contain ineffective ingredients.
From a company perspective, FolliPlex products are manufactured by AVGW Avant Garde Wellness Ltd, although there isn’t any information available about the company online, other than through the FolliPlex website (whose URL was first registered in January 2014). With this said, the default language used on the FolliPlex website is French, so it may be the case that they’re based outside of the U.S.
FolliPlex Pricing & Refund Policy
There are no prices listed on the primary FolliPlex website, and there isn’t a way to purchase their products. An online search for “FolliPlex pricing” didn’t provide any additional insight.
With this said, we did dig up a landing page for FolliPlex that listed some prices, but only for their Max Hair Growth supplement. Interestingly, none of the available options included U.S. addresses, so it may not currently be available in this country. These included:
- 1-Month Supply: $65, plus $4.95 S&H
- Buy 2, Get 1 Free: $114, plus free shipping
- Buy 3, Get 3 Free: $144, plus free shipping
According to the company’s website, FolliPlex products come with a 30-day refund policy. If you’d like to request a refund, you’ll have to send a request through an online contact form, as there isn’t a phone number provided.
Can FolliPlex Help Prevent Thinning Hair?
Chopping to the point: Considering the fact that FolliPlex’s website doesn’t list any of the ingredients their products contain, as well as the less-than-stellar tactics the company uses to promote their line of hair loss products, we have our doubts that this is a legitimate product that can stop thinning and regrow your hair.
Even if you wanted to purchase FolliPlex products (which, based on the above reasons, we might not recommend) their website doesn’t give you the option to add items to a cart or to check out. In fact, there aren’t even any prices listed.
Taking all of this into account, we’d recommend speaking with your physician about more reputable methods of effectively addressing your hair loss.
Is working slowly for me
I did try Folliplex in 2015 and some of my hair started growing back. Because of financial problems I stopped & gradually I started to lose some hair again. Have recently started using and some of my hair is re-growing slowly. So yes based on my experience it does work, except for the cost.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I have used Folliplex for six months according to the directions on the bottle at 2 capsules a day with meals. It does not work!
These scams usually come from the USA (the home of snake oil, for example MPB 'Research' - at the vanguard of scamming companies!) but this one comes from the United Kingdom!
Don't trust any of these companies! If it is not endorsed by a reputable unbiased organization then do not buy the product. You are wasting your money.
To date there are NO ingestible or topical products that grow hair on the scalp. Propecia and Minoxidil are exceptions, they only work on a very small percentage of the population, must be used for life and may have negative side effects!
Just eat healthy, reduce your stress and steer away from these low-life that prey on your emotions!
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Regardless of the speculation, I have had positive results with this product. I've been using FolliPlex consistently for the last several months, and my hair is definitely thicker. This product works.

Got FolliPlex 3 months ago, not noticing as much loss but it may be a placebo thing. The ingredients are listed on the packaging as: Vitamin B6, Biotin, Magnesium Oxide, Zinc Oxide, Saw Palmetto & Proprietary Blend (stinging nettle, pumpkin seed, eleuthero root, uva-ursi leaf, muira puama).

I wanted to share that I have recently purchased Folliplex Max Hair Growth Formula in capsule form. I purchased 3 months worth and was offered an additional 3 months at no cost. I found this to be a great deal and figured, "Why not give it a shot?"
As I have only recently purchased and started taking Folliplex, I can't say I have noticed any changes. However, it was mentioned that differences should be noticeable after three months.
As I have read a few reviews about the authenticity of the product, what ingredients are used etc, I unfortunately can not vouch either way at this early stage.
However, each Folliplex container I have received states the ingredients within the product. These are the ingredients per serving (two capsules)
Packaging also states that the product is made in the UK. The distributor is by AVGW AvantGarde Wellness Ltd.
I guess, all I can say at this stage, even with the mixed feedback and reviews I have read is, I can only wait and see and hopefully I will see results.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
