About Grabtastic Gloves
Grab hard-boiled eggs right out of the water? Lift hot cast iron pans right off the stove? Easily pour and strain pasta?
With Grabtastic Gloves, the “highest rated” heat-resistant cooking gloves available, you’ll be able to do all of this and more! How?
Because they’re made of 100% food-grade, BPA-free silicone that’s heat resistant up to 450°. Plus, Grabtastic’s raised gripping nubs will force heat away from your hands, and will pull double duty by helping you tackle hard-to-open jars.
Unlike your current oven mitt, Grabtastic Gloves’ waterproof and stain-proof design means that “food, grime, marinades and oils rinse right off.” You can even toss them in the dishwasher! And they’re so flexible you’ll be able to pick up a dime.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re an amateur chef or a pro outdoor griller, you’re here to find out if Grabtastic Gloves are worth your time and money. To help you decide, we’ll cover 3 main points in this review:
- How they compare to other options,
- If they’ll work as advertised, and
- If they’ll provide you with a solid value.
Is There Anything Like Grabtastic Gloves?
We won’t go into too much detail here, but a little background is important to make sense of things.
As of this writing, the HighYa team has reviewed nearly 600 As Seen on TV products, with thousands of customer reviews among them. And based on this experience, we’ve noticed that many appear to be slightly redesigned versions of existing products. Or, in some instances, we’ve watched as more than one company will simultaneously release what amounts to basically the same product.
And in this instance, both appear to be the case with Grabtastic Gloves. If you compare Grabtastic with Hot Hands, you’ll notice that they’re literally the same pair of gloves—the only difference is that Hot Hands features a label, and Grabtastic Gloves do not.
But it doesn’t stop there. Why? Because each of these appear to be a knockoff of these AYL Heat Resistant Grilling Gloves. Regardless of who makes them though, what can you expect from these types of products?
Will Grabtastic Gloves’ Real-World Performance Live Up To the Hype?
We always try to be first on the scene when it comes to new ASOTV product reviews, so there wasn’t any online customer feedback about Grabtastic at the time of our research.
Fortunately, the AYM gloves mentioned previously had nearly 1,300 reviews on Amazon, with an eye-popping 4.5-star average review. Clearly, customers seem pleased, but what exactly are they saying?
Most seemed very happy with the gloves’ performance, enjoyed their flexibility (that they could be used for hot cookware, and even in boiling water), and liked that when they got dirty, they could be rinsed off. Or, if things got really messy, they could be placed on the top rack of the dishwasher.
However, despite all this positive feedback, one concern especially stood out: the heat resistance of silicone. Yes, the gloves would provide comfortable use on a very hot object for 5-10 seconds, but this pales in comparison to the performance of traditional lined oven mitts.
All of this is certainly positive, but remember that these gloves come from a completely different company, so there’s no way to know if you’ll experience the same with Grabtastic.
Although we don’t know about performance, let’s see how Grabtastic’s price compares to these other options.
How Much Will You Pay For a Pair of Grabtastic Gloves?
Two pairs of Grabtastic Gloves will set you back $10 plus $9.90 S&H.
They’ll also come with a 30-day return policy, but this is less S&H charges. And as you can see, they’re nearly as much as the product itself, so by the time you pay to send them back to the manufacturer, you could lose more in S&H charges than you’ll receive as a refund.
Compare this to AYM’s price of $15.99 plus $3 or $4 in shipping (depending on your location), and it seems like they might save you a couple bucks over Grabtastic.

Should You Throw Down the Gauntlet For Grabtastic Gloves?
What does the manufacturer mean when they claim that Grabtastic are the “highest rated” waterproof, heat-resistant gloves? By who? Customers? Professionals? We’re not sure.
What we are sure of though, is that—regardless of the product you’re talking about—overall value is largely a matter of personal preference. For example:
- Are you someone who frequently cooks with ultra-high temperatures and who needs to hold cookware for more than a few seconds at a time? If so, you might find that the silicone used in Grabtastic doesn’t repel heat long enough to provide much real-world value.
- On the other hand, are you someone who cooks lobster regularly, and you need a way to reach into a pot of boiling water to ensure that they cook properly? In this case, Grabtastic’s waterproof feature might prove to be invaluable.
Either way, considering Grabtastic’s high, non-refundable S&H charges, you could lose a decent chunk of change just for giving them a try. As such, you might want to explore more mainstream options like the AYM gloves above before placing your Grabtastic Gloves order.
Or, you can search for more traditional oven gloves online or at local retailers, many of which are now treated with silicone (or even Kevlar) to provide the same waterproof ability, while also providing superior heat insulation.
