About Green Coffee Fat Burn
If you’re looking to lose weight naturally, you may have run across an advertisement for Green Coffee Fat Burner, which probably made it seem very, very appealing. After all, it claims to be the only 100% pure green coffee bean extract available, and to help you burn fat, lose weight, and feel great.
But does Green Coffee Fat Burn actually live up to these big claims? Let’s investigate.
Quick Facts About Green Coffee Fat Burn
La Jolla, CA-based Green Coffee Fat Burn claims to use chlorogenic acid derived from unroasted coffee beans to slow the absorption of glucose, to help reduce the size of your fat cells, and to burn existing fat reserves. On top of this, the dietary supplement claims to provide additional benefits such as:
- Burn fat without added exercise (although any benefits can be enhanced with exercise).
- Maintain healthy blood sugar levels.
- Prevent damage from free radicals using green coffee extract’s natural antioxidants.
Although Green Coffee Bean Extract claims to contain a proprietary blend of clinically proven ingredients, it also claims to burn fat 100% naturally, and to result in no side effects.
Green Coffee Fat Burn Pricing & Refund Policy
Green Coffee Fat Burn is currently available as a 14-day trial, but the details can be a bit confusing. So here’s how it works:
First, you’ll pay $4.95 shipping and handling, at which point you’ll be sent a 30-day supply (60 capsules) of Green Coffee Fat Burn. Your 14-day trial will begin as soon as your order is placed, which means you’ll likely only have 10-11 days remaining by the time your order is received.
However, if you’re dissatisfied for any reason within the first 14 days, you’ll need to contact the company at 855-496-2377, and ship the remaining bottle back. If you fail to do this, you’ll be charged $87.63 15 days after your initial order, and you’ll also be signed up for the company’s autoship program. This means you’ll continue receiving a 30-day supply of Green Coffee Fat Burn once per month, and your credit card will be charged $87.63 each time, until cancelled by you.
What Do Other Consumers Have to Say About Green Coffee Fat Burn?
Green Coffee Fat Burn holds an A- rating with the Better Business Bureau, based on 34 closed complaints over the past three years, almost all of which reference the company’s 14-day free trial and autoship program. We’ll dig into this more in the next section.
Although the company’s URL was first registered in July 2012, outside of the BBB, online customer reviews regarding Green Coffee Fat Burn are basically non-existent.
What’s the Bottom Line About Green Coffee Fat Burn?
We’ve reviewed numerous nutritional supplements here at HighYa, so we fully understand the excitement you feel when a new weight loss formula appears—especially one that claims to provide amazing results, without the need for any changes to your diet or exercise regimen. But how does Green Coffee Fat Burn stack up? As it turns out, not very well.
First and foremost, Similar to Whole Body Green Coffee Bean Extract, Green Coffee Fat Burn is not clinically proven to help individuals lose weight, despite how they may make it appear. In fact, the Green Coffee Fat Burn website references two studies to back up its claims:
- This study, which was performed using Coffee Slender (not Green Coffee Fat Burn).
- This study, which was widely discredited soon after Dr. Oz referenced it in his original Green Coffee Bean Extract show in May 2012. In fact, as we detailed in our Introduction to Green Coffee Bean Extract article, the public outcry surrounding this snafu was so great that it actually caused Dr. Oz to perform a follow up show several months later. With this in mind, here were the results from his second show:
“In two weeks, the group of women who took the green coffee bean extract lost, on average, two pounds. However, the group of women who took the placebo lost an average of one pound – possibly because they were more aware of their diet for that two weeks because of the required food journal.”
In layman’s terms, over the course of two weeks, the women given green coffee bean extract lost 2 pounds, while the group who did not lost 1 pound. What does this mean? Despite the claims made by manufacturers, green coffee bean extract is not some “miraculous” weight loss supplement. Instead, you’ll likely lose minimal weight, if any.
Second, Green Coffee Fat Burn claims to be the only 100% pure product available. However, we’ll just have to take their word for it, because there is no product label/ingredients list provided on the product’s website, and there is no reference to third-party testing. This is something you’ll be putting in your body, and you deserve to know exactly what it contains.
Next, the Green Coffee Fat burn URL was registered in July 2012, soon after Dr. Oz aired his original Green Coffee Bean Extract episode. On top of this, the supplement comes with an extremely high price. When taken together, this leads us to believe that the company is simply jumping on the bandwagon and out to make a quick buck.
Finally, as we mentioned in our Complete Supplement Buyer’s Guide, free trials and autoship programs are often key indicators of how a company views their products, and should be avoided at all costs. The reality is that these programs are often more about taking advantage of consumers than they are about helping them.
So, what does this leave us with?
- A product that has little to no clinical tests that proves its efficacy.
- No ingredients list/product label.
- A company that appears to be out to make a quick buck.
- Free trial and autoship program.
Ultimately, even if you choose to ignore the lack of scientific evidence surrounding the supplement in general, we would recommend choosing a more reputable green coffee bean extract manufacturer than Green Coffee Fat Burn.
