    Thieves

I ordered my heaters in December of 2016, and here it is May of 2017 and after four phone calls, still nothing. They kept saying they were sending a check and that was a lie. I am looking for a lawyer to take action. This company is crooked thieves. Time to shut them down.

    They lie

I have been waiting since January 5th for my refund. They lie about why I don't have my money back. They have given me five lies so far. They are a criminal enterprise. Who do you contact to report their fraud? The sad thing is, it's New Jersey, so no hope there. Imagine how much money they've taken since Christmas.

    Where is my refund?

    • North Carolina,

I ordered this product and then read reviews saying that it gets so hot that it could burn a house down. So I call the company back and spoke to someone and told them that I didn't want the product, and I made sure they didn't take money off of my card. Because I made sure that I canceled the order, I used the money off my card on something else, and didn't think anything else about it.

Ok, so my check comes on my card for the next month, and because I keep up with what I spend, I called to see what had come off my card, and one amount was $94.00 and some change. So I called my bank and I let them run down how much my purchases were and where I spent them, and come to find out, this amount of $94.00 came from Handy Heater.

So I "flew hot" and called them back, telling them that I had canceled this order so they need to put my money back on my card, and they said they could not apply it back to my card because it was a gift card. I told them that they had no problem taking it off my card, so they need to put it back on my card. I also let her know that it is not a gift card, it is a RushCard (a prepaid Visa debit card), but she said it's coming across her screen as a gift card. She said what she can do is send me a check and I will receive it in six to eight business weeks (not days, WEEKS). When I "fly hot" again, she tells me to send the merchandise back because it was shipped. I say, "ok now, on the day it was delivered my cousin received and opened the box, and we tested the merchandise but it does not work like they say, you have to get right in front of it to feel it, and it elevated my light bill enormously.

So don't let them tell you that it will cost you pennies a day because that's a lie. Don't give them your card info because they are going to take the money whether you want them to or not. They took my money the beginning of December, and I haven't received this so-called check yet. What the heck? I called again today they said that they sent the check out on December 28th. Where is my refund? I am signing off angry.

    Handy Heater is a scam!

I ordered two Handy Heaters in December of 2016. After two weeks when I did not receive them, I called the company. I was told that FedEx did not pick them up yet. I called FedEx, and they said a shipping label was prepared and to check with the company.

I waited another week and still had no heaters. I then called Handy Heater again, and they said to be patient. I then called my credit card and told them of the situation. They credited my account and are looking into this scam company.

Do NOT order from this company. It is a ripoff!

    A rip off!

I ordered Handy Heater for a poor family at Christmas. I am totally embarrassed. Although my account has an entry for $48.00 for Handy Heater and there is a FedEx tracking shipping label "prepared" by Handy Heater, they never followed through. On the coldest, iciest day of the year, the heater was never shipped to the family. FedEx shipping states Handy Heater "Prepared" a label without any further action. I am complaining to my State Attorney General.

    Scam

I ordered one and received three. I then sent the two back and received a $29.98 refund, only I was charged $48.97 twice. What a scam. I have not been able to get the proper refunds yet. There is no customer email site. Do not buy!

    Scam artist

I placed my order in early December, and they were real quick to take the money from my account, but as of today, January 11th, it's still not here. I called customer service, and they said it shipped on the 27th. I then called FedEx, who said they never received it and that only a shipping label was created, but they don't have the actual package. So, I called back customer service, and the women told me FedEx doesn't update their system. $60.00 down the drain. I can't imagine what I'll go through to get the money back.

    Waste of money

The heater warms up only about 12 inches in front of it. I put it in my bathroom for about 2 hours, and there was no change in the temperature, and the bathroom was still very cold. It is not worth the price.

I'm not happy with the fact that they will only refund the price of the heaters and not the shipping and handling. It's not my fault that the heaters do not work. Customers, beware!

    Not what they promise!

I ordered the "buy one get one free for $29.99" plus a separate shipping and handling fee of $8.99 for each, yet my card was charged over $95.

When I called, I was told to call the next day, and I could get it fixed. I called early the next day, only to be told it had already been charged to the card and the only thing I could do was refuse the package when it arrived for a full refund!

Rest assured I will, and we shall see if that happens. What a scam, do NOT order! The sad part is that I wanted to try the heaters.

    Buyer beware!

    • San Antonio, TX,

These heaters were advertised on their website as "Buy one for $29.95 and get a second one for free!" I was supposed to pay an extra $8.95 for shipping. Then, as I was closing the order, it came up that I could upgrade both heaters for $10 each. When I said no, it came up that I could upgrade them for $5 each. I agreed to this, and when I hit the "Order Now" button, the order came to over $115.

Seeing that I had been tricked, I called immediately to cancel the order. An automated answer said that no one was available and that I could send an email or call back during their 9am-5pm hours. I sent the email, and I called back, and the response I got was that the order was being processed to be shipped out and they could not stop it.

I was told I could send it back when I get it for a full refund. But why send it to me when you have it there, and I ask you to cancel it? Makes NO SENSE, but if that's how this company has to make its money, I won't be surprised when more customers find out the real truth about these false claims!
