About Herpes Cleanse
Written by William Paterson, MD, who claims to have been studying the herpes simplex virus for over 22 years, the Herpes Cleanse program is an e-book-based guide that’s claimed to reveal a breakthrough formula that can completely and permanently eradicate the herpes virus from your body in less than 17 days.
Dr. Paterson claims that Herpes Cleanse is so effective that it’s “shocked the entire medical world” and has worked for more than 54,000 people to date.
In order to accomplish this, Herpes Cleanse claims to disclose a specific combination of substances and techniques that penetrate the protein shell the herpes virus uses to hide from your immune system. In addition, you’ll receive a full ingredients list, including every oil, herb, vitamin, and superfood that you’ll need, all of which can be found at any local store.
Ultimately, in just 5 minutes per day, the step-by-step information found in the Herpes Cleanse e-book will help weaken the herpes virus while strengthening your immune system.
Sound like a bunch of hooey? We initially thought the same thing too. But after investigating the Herpes Cleanse e-book, do we think it will actually work? Consider the following:
What is the Herpes Virus?
Herpes is a type of virus that commonly infects humans, of which there are 2 different types: Herpes simplex 1 (also known as HSV-1), which references oral herpes and is signified by blister-like sores around the mouth. On the other hand, herpes simplex 2 (also known as HSV-2) references sores that occur around the genitalia.
In either instance, the herpes virus is transmitted through bodily fluids, such as saliva, semen, fluid from an open sore, etc. Once a person becomes infected, the herpes virus enters cells located in the lower level of skin tissue and begins reproducing.
At some point, if the host cell dies due to this reproduction, the telltale blisters and inflammation appear, whether on the lips, around the mouth, or around the genitalia.
Once this occurs, the herpes virus and its host cell retreat to clusters of nerve cell endings, where it remains dormant until reproducing again, at which point the process starts all over.
However, it’s important to keep in mind that you can carry the herpes virus for years without displaying any symptoms, and can even transmit the virus to others without ever even knowing you have it. In fact, according to some sources, as much as 90% of the American population has been exposed to the herpes virus.
Why Can’t Your Body Get Rid of the Herpes Virus?
As alluded to in the Herpes Cleanse video, and as we briefly discussed above, the herpes virus is impossible for your body to get rid of, since it hides from your immune system using the ICP47 protein. In other words, your body’s immune system simply doesn’t view the protein-coated herpes virus as a threat (or at all), so it’s basically free to wreak havoc on your life as it pleases.
So, if your body can’t recognize or eliminate the herpes virus, has science developed a cure?
Is There a Cure for Herpes?
In short, no. There is no cure for the herpes virus, despite what’s claimed in the Herpes Cleanse video (more about this in the following section). However, there are treatments.
From a medical perspective, herpes is often treated using different anti-viral medications, which generally prevent a current breakout from getting worse, and which can help suppress the virus and reduce their frequency and severity in the future. In fact, these drugs (specifically valacyclovir) can even help prevent transmission to others.
If you’ve ever walked through the aisles at your local pharmacy, you’ve probably seen dozens of cold sore treatments on the shelves. And although they’re often very expensive, these generally only speed healing, but don’t prevent breakouts or transmission. As such, they may not always provide a good value for your money.
From an everyday perspective, there are several precautions you can take to prevent cold sore breakouts, including washing your hands regularly, replacing your toothbrush after a breakout, avoiding sun exposure, reducing stress, and more.
Can the Herpes Cleanse Program Address Your Herpes in Any Way?
With all of this said, let’s get to the big question: Is there anything contained in the Herpes Cleanse e-book that can help you prevent breakouts, avoid transmission, or get rid of your herpes for good?
Probably not. Why? Because we know next to nothing about what the Herpes Cleanse program contains, other than a step-by-step list of oils, herbs, vitamins, and superfoods you’ll need, as well as instructions on exactly when you’ll need them.
Even if we did know what it contains, as we outlined in the previous section, there is no known cure for herpes, whether through natural or medical means.
Herpes Cleanse Pricing & Refund Policy
Herpes Cleanse is priced at $39.17, and can be immediately downloaded as soon as your payment is processed.
If you’re dissatisfied with the Herpes Cleanse e-book, it comes with a 1-year refund policy. In order to request a refund, you’ll need to contact Software Projects’s (Herpes Cleanse’s distributor) customer service at 800-218-1525.
Should You Spend Money on Herpes Cleanse?
When it comes down to it, we believe your money would be much better spent on a trip to your doctor instead of purchasing Herpes Cleanse. After all, we’re told next to nothing about what the e-book actually contains, not to mention the fact that there is no cure for herpes.
However, if you feel like rolling the dice on Herpes Cleanse but end up dissatisfied, you can always take advantage of the distributor’s 1-year refund policy.

I had the herpes virus since high school with out breaks every years especially when seasons changed and during winter months. My doctor explained that the herpes virus is in the air. I noticed that having chapped or dry lips would always result in getting sores.
So believe it or not, I started using lip Medex whenever my lips felt a little dry and noticed that it prevented getting the herpes sore. I suppose you can use any product to keep the lips moist and healthy and it would work. Try it because you have nothing to lose except ugly sores. No brand endorsed, just protect your lips from chapping. Don't know anything about the product being reviewed so no comments but would not recommend spending $40 when there is a simple way to protect your lips.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

It is a scam
I have purchased Herpes Cleanse for $40, after a discount. But about 5 minutes later I found it that it was so suspicious that it didn't even ask me for my address, so I called my bank and inquired about the transaction. Found out that I already had 3 transactions totaling up $120. So I decided to terminate my credit card immediately. So in a nutshell, this website is a SCAM, don't ever trust it.
