What Is HerSolution and How Does It Work?

Are you a woman who struggles with feeling a lack of sexual desire? HerSolution is a natural supplement that promises to help you regain the motivation to initiate intimacy, reclaim your libido, and feel like a playful teenager again.

According to HerSolution, a low libido isn’t so much inside your head as it is a physical issue. Over time, your body can become imbalanced by factors, such as improper nutrition, stress, or a lack of rest, that can cause your sex drive to slide downhill.

HerSolution also suggests that a lower libido doesn’t necessarily mean that something is “wrong.”

Age and medication can potentially shift your hormonal balance and set back your sex drive. Pregnancy, menstruation, menopause, and exposure to synthetic estrogens are all examples of age or medication-relation hormone changes.

But just because something is normal or expected doesn’t make the effects any less bothersome. And, in the case of a lessened sex drive, a shift away from intimacy can affect your personal relationship, as well as your and your partner’s self-esteem and confidence.

HerSolution claims to have been formulated by a team of sexual health experts with the goal of stopping women from silently suffering from a lack of desire.

The supplement was created by combining herbs that HerSolution claims to have natural aphrodisiac properties. These includes:

  • Niacin: Claimed to increase blood flow and sensation in the genital region.
  • Hops: Claimed to even out estrogen production and relieve vaginal dryness.
  • Mucuna: Claimed to naturally trigger pleasure chemical dopamine and increases libido.
  • Ginkgo: Claimed to improve ability to orgasm and reduce symptoms of menopause
  • Epimedium sagittatum: Claimed to be an ancient aphrodisiac that naturally increases female sexual desire.
  • Cayenne: Claimed to intensify orgasms and improve vaginal lubrication.

According to HerSolution, taking one supplement daily helps to correct you lagging libido within seven days, with the following effects:

  • Increased sexual desire, anticipation, and fantasizing
  • Faster arousal and more intense genital sensations
  • Increased and faster vaginal lubrication

After a full 60 days of taking HerSolution supplements, the website claims that you’ll experience:

  • More regular periods, lighter with less painful cramping
  • A reduction in hot flashes
  • More energy
  • Fewer mood swings & less irritability
  • More intense, pleasurable muscle contractions with orgasms

Additional Information About HerSolution Libido Supplements

Beyond helping to correct any shift in your sexual desire back to what it once was, HerSolution suggests that it may be able to help women who have yet to achieve their first orgasm due to effects of the supplements, including:

  • The dilation of blood vessels, which enables you to relax and enjoy sexual experiences without trying so hard.
  • More intense, more frequent muscle contractions, which can make it easier for you to relax into your first experience with an orgasm.

HerSolution also claims to be 100% doctor-approved with no known side effects. The supplements safety claims include promises that HerSolution:

  • Includes only natural ingredients of the highest standard
  • Is even safe if you're trying to get pregnant
  • Produced by a cGMP compliant pharmaceuticals-grade manufacturer

Who’s Behind HerSolution Women’s Supplements?

With so many claims on the table, it’s important to take a look at who’s behind HerSolution libido supplements.

The product’s website claims to be manufactured by Leading Edge Health and boasts Better Business Bureau (BBB) accreditation. Click on the provided link, and you’ll be taken to a BBB page for Leading Edge Marketing.

On the BBB page, you will notice that there is a difference between their advertised business name that includes name “Health,” and registered name ending with “Marketing.”

In addition, the doctor pictured alongside the claim “100% doctor approved” is Dr. Karen Vieira. She is pictured in a lab coat and called a “Dr.,” which gives the impression that Dr. Karen Vieira is a medical doctor.

But she’s not.

On her personal website, Dr. Vieira claims to have a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences. Note that this degree does not qualify an individual for a role as a medical practitioner. Instead, those with a doctorate in Biomedical Sciences are limited to policy-making, consulting, or working in the biotech industry.

Dr. Vieira is not a medical doctor. She owns a medical marketing consultancy called The Med Writers. Their tagline: “Science writing that sells; by doctors, for people.”

It’s worth noting that Dr. Vieira is associated with one other product: ProSolution male enhancement pills, also sold by Leading Edge Marketing.

What to take away from this information about who’s behind HerSolution?

While being made and sold by a marketing company doesn’t completely invalidate the brand’s claims to efficacy, that tricky wording (“100% doctor approved”)—especially in conjunction with safety claims like “it’s even safe if you’re trying to get pregnant”—should give prospective consumers pause when considering HerSolution.

What About HerSolution’s Ingredients?

There are plenty of supplements that claim to boost women’s libido, but most lack scientific proof.

According to Nanette Santoro, MD, chair of the obstetrics-gynecology department at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Aurora, Colo, “Most of the salesmanship is based on anecdotes and testimony.”

Nanette Santoro warns consumers to be skeptical if there isn't evidence from a clinical trial. While HerSolution doesn’t provide any research-based evidence and is, indeed, completely based on anecdotes and testimony, here’s a look at the supplements claimed active ingredients for good measure.

Niacin is a B vitamin that is often found in male enhancement supplements. It may help men by raising their “good” cholesterol levels. In one study, men with high cholesterol and moderate to severe ED who took 1,500 milligrams of niacin for 12 weeks saw improvements.

However, there is no available research on niacin as a supplement in women’s libido supplements. Additionally, high doses, 3 grams per day or more, can harm your liver and cause heart, blood pressure, and urinary problems.

Hops are claimed to even out estrogen production because it can promote an increase of the hormone’s production. However, herbs that increase estrogen production might not be safe if you’re at risk for or have had, estrogen-sensitive cancer like some breast cancers or ovarian cancer.

Mucuna pruriens has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for over two thousand years, and there’s ample information regarding the plant on holistic websites. Called Cowhage, this bean-like plant has a ton of uses—most notably as medication to treat Parkinson’s—and is indeed linked to dopamine increase (as L-dopa) as HerSolution claims.

The problem is that most L-dopa is broken down in the body before it ever reaches the brain unless special chemicals are used with levodopa. And, wouldn’t you know it, those chemicals are not present in cowhage in its natural state.

Some believe Ginkgo biloba also helps with circulation, which, in theory, could assist with a lowered libido. But it can thin your blood and cause bleeding. That's especially risky if you take blood-thinning drugs.

According to WebMD’s epimedium (commonly known as horny goat weed) page, there is some preliminary evidence that it may help boost blood flow to the penis, although their main supplement page lists the level of evidence as “insufficient.”

However, no similar studies have yet been performed to learn about the herb’s efficacy in relation to a woman’s libido. Furthermore, WebMD indicates that horny goat weed is possibly unsafe when taken for a long period of time and may negatively interact with medications for high blood pressure and blood clotting.

This is why you should always speak with your doctor before beginning any new supplement regimen.

The Bottom Line: Will HerSolution Help Your Libido?

HerSolution female libido supplements make claims that could certainly appeal to any woman struggling with a loss of desire.

However, after taking a close look at the people behind HerSolution, their affiliated businesses, and the tricky—if not slightly misleading—way Dr. Vieira is presented as a medical expert when she runs a medical marketing business, it’s our opinion that the supplement brand’s claims are little more than clever marketing.

Additionally, HerSolution relies on phrases such as “all natural” and “herbal” to infer that these ingredients are safe. But, the truth is that herbs and plants aren’t necessarily harmless just because they grow from the ground.

Sure, you use herbs all the time while cooking, but you also keep certain herbs, such as hemlock and monkshood, off of your spice rack.

Understand that certain herbs might not be safe, especially if you have certain medical conditions or take some medications. Any product of this sort should be used with caution, and the labeling should be taken very seriously.

Additionally, talk with your doctor before taking any supplement to reduce the risk of herbal supplements causing adverse reactions with your other medication.

Will not honor return policies, scam!

They advertise a 60-day return policy. I returned the item as it didn't work at all, and they purposely delayed the parcel by almost 3 weeks and then claimed it was my fault the shipment was not returned in time.

UPS confirmed that they followed up with Leading Edge Solutions each day, asking for ingredients so that customs could release the package. They absolutely point blank refused to refund as advertised and to top it off, they kept the return too, as they will not ship it back. Fraud!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
