  • Only lasted a week

After first opening, it works great. The Hurricane Spin Scrubber really did good at scrubbing on my cabinets. But after a week the end where you charge is melted, and now it will not hold a charge.

I called customer service, and they would not do anything since I had purchased it from Walmart and not through online or by calling.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

  • Broke

At first, I loved it. It worked great a few times. If you hold down while cleaning too hard, it stops. It broke within two months and completely stopped working. I have changed out many times and still nothing. It is not worth the amount I paid.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

  • Can't make it work

I bought one, charged it as instructed, and when I turned the switch to "on," nothing happened. I took it back and exchanged it. This is the second one, charged as instructed, and it's not turning on. The outlet charges other things fine, and the red light is solid, not flashing as it does when not fully charged. I thought maybe there was some tab I had to pull from the batteries or something, but after reading the instructions completely and looking closely at everything, I can't see any reason why it won't work unless I could be unlucky enough to get a second defective unit. So I don't know how it works because I've never gotten to try it.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

  • Worked, once!

I purchased this a few months ago at Bed Bath & Beyond. I used it to clean my shower. It worked well. The battery was low so I plugged it in and left it plugged overnight. I unplugged it the next day and went to use it 2 weeks later and the battery appeared to be dead. I just washed my shower the old fashioned way and plugged the scrubber back in. I didn't use it the next time I cleaned the shower but attempted to use it today. No battery! Plugged it in again 7 hours ago. Still dead!

So, it worked ONCE! I'm out $40. It wasn't the best in the first place, but I have a back problem and needed something rather than using my back and arms. I thought this was the ticket. Guess not! I don't have the box or receipt so I'm screwed! Don't buy one!

  • Complete waste of time

I was "gifted" the product by my mother who bought it as she is a clean freak, has Parkinson's, and finds it difficult to keep her home as clean as she would like.

After seeing it on TV, I thought what can be so wrong with it, and then I tried it. The first thing I noticed was it needed both hands to control it, otherwise, it was completely uncontrollable. So this was the first clue as to why mum offloaded her dud purchase. The unit would be extremely difficult for an elderly person, someone with arthritis, etc. to control. Sad because I feel the product is marketed to these type of people.

I also had some stubborn stains, thank you my lovely children. When pressure was applied, the torque on the unit progressively reduced until it stopped completely. Thinking it might be a charge issue I charged the unit for a couple of hours, alas the same thing happened again.

After being left standing in a slippery and still dirty bath, I resorted to my usual cleaning method; a cloth. I now have a clean bathtub.

I will never buy anything from a shopping network and my mother is also cured of these adverts.

Extremely disappointing as the product attracts vulnerable people, ie, the elderly and infirm, and it is misleading and incompletely inadequate.

  • My expectations are high, and Hurricane Spin Scrubber exceeds them.

I am a Mechanical Engineer and I understand the principals of torque, horsepower, and RPM. Therefore my expectations are realistic. My wife purchased this machine, based on a friends recommendation. I had seen the TV advertisement once. When it arrived, we read the instructions and followed them. I observed my wife using it in her shower, and it performed as advertised, using all brushes.

Today I was cleaning the master bath, and the wife brought me the Spin Scrubber to use on the floor (she had just used it on her double shower). I put on the crevice brush, and was amazed at the torque Spin Scrub has while cleaning the baseboards and door jambs. After cleaning the machine, we discussed how pleasing the machine works, and we decided to buy two more so we have spares when our first one exceeds its life-cycle.

Good product and I highly recommend the Spin Scrubber.

  • Hurricane Spin Scrubber worthless and no answer in customer service

Spin Scrubber does not have the power they claim, and the customer service line will never answer to send back. They do not include any return information with the product. Even before you have a chance to try the product, Telebrands will call and offer a free gift for buying the product. Don't accept it because you get stuck with a cheap jewelry item every 30 days. This is from Sterlington Collections, a division of Telebrands. You accept the free gift, and you just bought into a cheap jewelry item every month. SCAM deluxe.

Don’t buy anything thru BuldHead (As Seen on TV). You open the package and you're stuck with postage to send back.

  • Worthless product

I ordered the Deluxe Hurricane Spin Scrubber but receive the Standard model. It was a special TV offer to double your order with just paying a separate shipping and handling on the second Spin Scrubber. When I received the invoice, I was charged the full price for both Spin Scrubbers, neither of which were the deluxe model.

I called the number for "prompt resolution" and waited for over 45 minutes, but nobody ever answered. I tried several numbers within the company's advertisement to reach a live person, but to no avail. Every number I called, it was the same recording with no answer and an extremely long wait time.

I will report this company to office of Attorney General in New Jersey where this company lists as its home office, as well as the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and office of the Attorney General in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

When I purchased this, I was skeptical. Most things don’t work as they advertise. This one did! I let the unit properly charge, sprayed the cleaner and began scrubbing. I used all three heads and was able to get everything including the track, without breaking my back in the process. Would definitely recommend, and plan on purchasing one for my daughter as well.

  • "Torque"

Here I am, with wet bare feel having just cleaned my shower stall and bathtub while using the Hurricane Spin Scrubber. I couldn't wait to write this review.

The IDEA of this item is certainly good and viable. BUT, the Hurricane itself is a PIECE OF GARBAGE. It fails.

It's no coincidence that the commercial pushes that it has "torque" when the truth is that "torque" is precisely what is MISSING. I repeat, the Hurricane Spin Scrubber has about HALF of the MINIMUM torque required to do its job. The spinning brush STOPS when reasonable and expected pressure is applied. By "reasonable and expected," I mean "not a lot." For anyone who doesn't know what "torque" is, torque is a motor's ability to keep spinning WHEN work pressure is applied to it. The motor within this abomination has the overall impression of something which would be used in a child's toy.

I'll bet anything that the discussions about its final design went like this:

Inventor: "It looks great, but unlike the prototype I gave you, the motor in this one has nowhere near enough torque to significantly facilitate the cleaning process."

Investor/Promoter: "If we upgrade the motor, we'll have to charge $69, and our research shows that fewer people will buy it at that price point. Hey, how about we just TELL people it has great torque, even though it doesn't? Most people don't even know what torque is, anyhow. Heck, WE didn't even know what torque was, they don't teach about torque in business school, after all. Look, Mr. Inventor, success is no longer about making a product which truly helps the customer. It's about taking their money and hoping they won't try to return the item. Get with it."

The Hurricane will help taking off very light water stains on your tiles. It will NOT take off stubborn soap scum, or any other accumulations in your bathtub. You will still need to get in there on your hands and knees, with your bristle brush, Comet, bleach, Soft Scrub, and scrub away.

Thank you Hurricane! Hopefully, another company who cares will make something that actually works! But you don't care, because you're sitting on the beach in the Caribbean right now, sipping a Margarita you bought with MY $40. I appreciate your authentic concern for helping your fellow man. Spineless shysters, through and through.

  • Bluntly, this is a piece of crap!

I have trouble bending over or kneeling so I bought the Hurricane Spin Brush thinking it would be a giant help. Was I ever wrong! There is absolutely no power behind the brushes, and if you press down, they stop altogether. I might as well just bend down and scrub my tub with my hands. I really can't say enough bad things about this so-called scrubber! If it was possible, I wouldn't give any stars!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
