I've been struggling with acne for a while now, I've had some good days and some bad days but the journey is not yet over.

My acne started in high school and was getting them more frequently as I started working as an EMT. I was getting big acne that would oftentimes lead me to pop them only having to cause damage to my face and leaving me with indented scars left behind. My face went through weird changes of having them all over my cheeks, to my forehead, to my jawline. I always thought the medicine I was using concealed my acne so I never thought too much of it until I started noticing in the mirror that they were really noticeable and my confidence dropped. I began hiding my face from people and could not have eye to eye conversations with people knowing that they would be looking at my acne. Often times I would see coworkers or strangers looking at me like they just ate something bad, it was getting to me and I needed to do something and finally, I did and saw a dermatologist, several dermatologists. Some of the medication given helped but only for a little, others just irritated my skin. Every dermatologist that I've seen gave me little to no answers at all and it seemed like they were pushing for the most expensive thing they had and in the end, I was still breaking out.

Then finally I came across Dr. Sandra Lee's pimple popper website that offered products to buy online. Sure, they helped like the rest of the medication I tried, but again, never lasted long. I had lost hope after that and continued to hide from people and have been canceling fun events just to stay at home and treat my acne, oftentimes causing arguments at home with the wife because of it. Acne had taken over my life and was ruining it. Now, since I'm older, my face stopped breaking out on the cheeks, which was a problem back then but now have scars, like I mentioned before, now I just happen to break out all over my chin and jawlines. On top of that, they would leave a pigmentation behind which is irritating enough having to deal with another problem. I have tried so many remedies to get rid of pigment and the breakouts, I even changed my diet at one point but they still kept coming back on the same spot on my jaw and chin.

I've had lost all hope until I was on Snapchat and saw a Curology ad which led me to do some more research. At first, I was skeptical because I felt nothing was going to help, but tried it anyway since the first purchase is free. Once I got the medication I applied it on like the instructions said and after a week and a half, I noticed a difference and my acne that I had around my jawline disappeared and was now under control. The pigment marks have gone, not right away, but within days. Ever since I started investing in these products my confidence has been growing. Now I'm working at a hospital and now I can walk around freely without hiding from people. People still notice my scars and often catch them scanning my face, which can be irritating enough but my confidence has given me the strength to push forward and that this is only temporary and not let people's negativity bring me down but to keep my head up.
