    After posting this review I did receive help in rectifying this situation. As of this morning, they did send the $200 gift card as promised. Thank you.

    Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    Not standing behind promotions

    I purchased SmileDirect a couple of months ago and was very pleased with how things were going. I talked to my sister and she was interested as well and made an appointment right before Thanksgiving.

    At this time they were doing a promotion of Refer a Friend and you will get a $200 Amazon gift card and they will receive $200 off their purchase of clear aligners. When you are signed on to your account and select the button it will send you a link to send the referral. She went into her appointment with the referral code (which they applied to her) and told her once her aligners ship I would receive my $200 gift card. Needless to say, that was about a month ago. I have called their customer service reps numerous times with the story of "Well let me look into it...oh, I see it and you should get it within a few days." A week later, different guy, "Do you have the promotion code she used?" "Um no...because it's a link and when you click on the link it says someone used it" "Oh...well, we can't see it."

    I told them how come the first rep could...now you are telling me you can't? I told them to look at my sister's account, surely it is linked to me somewhere.

    My daughter used these and referred her boss and had the same issue (they did resolve it) - but I thought that was a fluke.

    If they resolve my issue I will revise my post. However, I am not happy and will NOT refer another person to this company. So irritating having to deal with...
