About Le Juvent
According to the manufacturer, Le Juvent features a rejuvenating formula of skin-conditioning minerals that can instantly decrease the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and eye bags.
In fact, we’re told this anti-aging “breakthrough” can help you look up to 10 years younger in less than two minutes!
To accomplish this, Le Juvent contains a clinically formulated Argilisee complex that’s claimed to instantly dissolve into the skin, relax your facial muscles, and help to bring out its original youth, firmness, and beauty.
All you have to do is add a thin layer of the Le Juvent micro-cream to targeted areas using the included applicators, and we’re told its formula can help men and women of all ages achieve results.
Once we get past all the marketing though, is Le Juvent really any kind of anti-aging breakthrough? In other words, can you expect to deliver on these lofty promises, or is it just another overhyped product?
We’ll spend our time here revealing what we learned during our research.
Why Does Skin Age?
Don’t worry; we won’t bore you with a bunch of science-y sounding words in this section, but it’s important to lay some groundwork before moving on.
When we’re young, our skin contains plentiful amounts of collagen and elastin, two very common proteins that provide structural strength and elasticity, respectively.
As we get older though, two things happen: First, our body naturally begins producing less and less of these key proteins, leading to common signs of aging like wrinkles, sagging, dark circles, and age spots.
As if this wasn’t enough, environmental factors can lead to premature signs of aging, like excessive sun exposure, not getting enough sleep, poor diet/exercise habits, smoking/alcohol consumption, too much stress, and more.
With this in mind, is there anything contained in Le Juvent that might help change the situation for the better?
How Does Le Juvent Work?
Despite the manufacturer’s lofty claims, we’re not told about any of the ingredients found in Le Juvent, so there’s really no way to know if it’ll live up to the hype.
On top of this, the Argilisee complex it contains seems to be a proprietary formula only used in Le Juvent products.
However, based on its name, the complex appears to be based around a proprietary ingredient known as Argireline (formally known as Acetyl Hexapeptide-3).
Once applied to the skin, this substance works to limit neurotransmitter function in your facial muscles, leading to relaxation, reduced subtle facial expressions, and lingering tension. Similar to a much milder, topical version of Botox.
Pro tip: According to the Truth in Aging link above, clinical studies seem to indicate that Argireline works best at concentrations as high as 25%, although there’s no indication how much is found in Le Juvent.
Will Le Juvent’s Ingredients Cause Any Side Effects?
Argireline is viewed at as a Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) ingredient by the FDA and rarely causes anything worse than mild redness and irritation.
However, this doesn’t mean some of Le Juvent’s other ingredients won’t cause reactions, although (again) we can’t know exactly what these might be.
There seems to be a rumor flying around the internet about Argireline leading to permanent skin sagging with long-term use. According to Truth in Aging, however, there doesn’t seem to be any explicit evidence to support the claim.
Despite this, the author ends the article by stating:
“My position is that I would never choose a potion because it has Argireline in it. If manufacturers think that it is so fashionable these days that they can't avoid it, that's fine. But I'll be looking for collagen builders and preventers of structural aging such as Matrixyl 3000 or the more recent Teprenone.”
Nonetheless, how much will you pay for Le Juvent?
How Much Does Le Juvent Cost?
Two 0.5fl oz bottles of Le Juvent will cost you $19.99, plus $9.99 S&H, as well as a $1 web service fee. Note: There’s no indication of how many applicators this includes, although you can find similar replacements locally.
All Le Juvent orders come with a 60-day money back guarantee, less S&H charges. In order to request one, OnTel Products Corporation can be reached at 844-662-7208.
What Are Le Juvent Customers Saying In Their Reviews?
There was very little online customer feedback for Le Juvent’s anti-aging system at the time of our research. In fact, the only place we encountered any at all was on Amazon, where it had an average rating of 1.7 stars based on 5 reviews.
While one customer claimed their experience was “good,” everyone else seemed to have strongly negative things to say like “hate it” and “really bad.”
From a company perspective, Le Juvent is brought to you by OnTel Products Corporation, based out of Fairfield, NJ. OnTel is a middle-of-the-road player in the ASOTV industry, although they’ve had many recent hits like Big Vision Eyewear, Veggetti, and Miracle Copper Socks.
Compared to most of the As Seen on TV wares we review, these products seemed to have a mostly positive reputation with customers, who often claimed they worked as advertised and delivered a solid value.
On the other hand, some customers complained they didn’t work as advertised and/or didn’t last as long as expected.
Granted, there’s no way to know if this is what you’ll experience with Le Juvent. We only include it here to give you a high-level picture of the situation.
Pulling together everything we’ve covered here, are you ready to make a Le Juvent purchase? Before handing over your hard-earned money, let’s wrap everything up.
Is Le Juvent an Anti-Aging Breakthrough?
Without knowing exactly which ingredients are found in Le Juvent, there’s no way to know if it earns the manufacturer’s designation as a “breakthrough” is warranted.
However, we can say that Argireline is one of the most common ingredients we’ve found in online-only anti-aging products, so the formula isn’t unique from this aspect.
Bottom line: Will Le Juvent work as advertised? If it contains the recommended amount of Argireline, there’s no reason to believe it won’t provide at least some reduction in fine lines, wrinkles, under eye bags, and more.
However, it’s fairly certain that Le Juvent won’t deliver results on par with anything offered by your dermatologist. So, while it’ll definitely cost you more than Le Juvent, professional options could ultimately provide more bang for your buck.
If you feel like giving Le Juvent a try, the good news is that the company seems to stand behind their product with a 60-day refund policy. Just keep in mind you’ll immediately lose $10 in S&H, plus whatever it’ll cost to ship back to the company.
