    While carrying multiple cameras on public transportation, I had to take one out to rummage through my bag and spaced it on the seat in my rush to get off at my stop. I didn't realize it until over an hour later. I was so bummed.

    It suddenly dawned on me (a few days later) that a lost belonging is covered as part of my (mandatory) renters' insurance.

    I initiated the claim and in 2 HOURS received an approval for the FULL PRICE OF my CANON M10 EOS CAMERA.

    Great service, quick and painless! I almost didn't file a claim since I thought it would take a long time and require me to fill out all kinds of paperwork. I am so thankful I did in the end! It was all very quick and painless. I submitted my receipts and filmed a short video describing the incident, and Lemonade responded to me in less than 24 hours. I will always keep my receipts from now on as I believe that was what helped make the process go smoother.

    Thanks Lemonade. This is my first time with renters insurance and I am definitely pleased.

  • Everyone needs renters insurance

    Overall Experience:

    I already was a fan of Lemonade before I "needed" it. I had put off getting renters insurance forever, but Lemonade made it simple. Sign up was quick and I loved how easy it was to use and the low monthly cost.

    Fast forward a month later, and my apartment was robbed. Lemonade made it easy to file a claim on the app, and once I had finished, I got a call from an adjuster named Derrick right away. He had my claim processed the next day. Lemonade made filing a claim and starting to pick up the pieces after a horrible incident all the much easier. I would highly recommend this service to everyone. You never know when the unexpected will happen, and when it does you want to make sure you're covered.

  • Kick you while you are down

    Overall Experience:

    The happy and friendly image portrayed by Lemonade, a company that touts a simple and fast claim service, is criminally false advertising. The use of good charities to mask their deceptive practices is shameful at best, but in reality, it's irresponsible, hurtful, greedy and unethical as they are damaging organizations that really do honestly want to be there for not only those to which they have a fiduciary responsibility, but all.

    You can't even give Lemonade credit for fulfilling their contractual responsibility to their clients, let alone their moral responsibility to society. They will painstakingly comb through a policy to find any one of numerous legally unjustifiable clauses that they've riddled their convoluted policy with to ensure they don't pay simply because they know your life is upside down if you are using their insurance and you won't have the time, resources, or money (because they withhold it) to navigate the nightmarishly bureaucratic system of appeals.

    I was left homeless without a penny, and after nearly a week, they blatantly ignore the police departments assessment and utilize their own to cut a $3200 loss to a $200 offer and then spitefully withhold even that forcing me to sleep on the streets in below freezing temperatures.

    The crimes committed by Lemonade and the lies they tell make them far worse than any criminal or disaster mentioned in their policies.

    Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

  • The most expensive fall

    Overall Experience:

    I purchased their renters policy because of the advertising on social media. To be perfectly honest I didn't know what to expect because of the name. However, I had been contacting the company I have auto insurance through to bundle and had never gotten called back. I ran quite and was really inexpensive for what all I needed.

    Well, approximately eight days after I set up, I fell on ice due to our awful weather and broke my ring setting and headset. I filed a claim and of course because of policy being so new they needed to review. Totally understandable. I was contacted periodically via call, text, and email. Once I sent a verification requested, my claim was approved.

    I really appreciate the fast and professional service provided. Not to mention how friendly and nice these guys are. I have a huge following on social media and will recommend to all.

    Overall Experience:

    I was informed that my claim was approved and it would arrive in two days. It has been over three weeks, and nobody will reply to my messages. What gives? I keep getting the same automated response. I thought they were a good company, but now I feel cheated.

    I accidentally threw away my wife's engagement ring during a routine kitchen clean up. My wife was devastated, and I cried a little in the inside myself because the ring cost me many years of savings. I contacted Lemonade and Kristina O. assisted me all through the claim. She was professional and treated me with empathy. She assured me she will take care of everything and there is no need to worry.

    In a matter of weeks, the claim was complete. She followed up with me throughout the entire claims process. She was absolutely a pleasure a work with! Great job Lemonade!

    Overall Experience:

    I want to start off by saying thank you to Jen and the entire Lemonade team. Jen was very awesome with her customer service skills, keeping me calm and reassuring me that everything was going to be alright the day the fire occurred. Once putting in my claim the same day of the fire, I was very happy and satisfied to get my claim approved and settled within less than 30 days!

    Thank you Lemonade team for all your help, and I would definitely recommend to anyone who doesn’t have renters insurance to get Lemonade; they’re the best!

    Overall Experience:

    What should have been an extremely stressful situation, was a breeze with Lemonade. Lemonade's automation makes the claims process painless though the customer service is what makes the real difference. Jen and the others that I dealt with were kind, professional and worked fast to ensure we were back on our feet as quickly as possible. I know I am in good hands with Lemonade and would recommend to anyone who is considering them!

  • Incredibly fast and easy claim service

    Overall Experience:

    My claim was approved in under 30 minutes. While I will never recover the exact items that were taken, Lemonade made it easy to get as close as I can with as little hassle as possible.

    I had a case with my Nintendo Switch, games, and accessories stolen from my hotel room while on vacation at Universal Studios. We waited almost two weeks to file our report just to make sure we didn’t mistakenly leave the item at home. Despite the fact that we were away from home, had no idea who took it, couldn’t verify a couple of ownership receipts due to gift-giving, and were uncertain of the exact time of the theft, our claim was approved quickly.

    They said to expect a couple of days for the wire transfer to come through, but it still took less time for my online claim to be processed than it took me to fill out my online police report.

    The claim process itself, as well as the insurance service and coverage calculators, are intuitive and user-friendly. I can’t recommend the service enough.

  • Exceptional customer care

    Overall Experience:

    I had my laptop stolen, and I submitted the case to Lemonade. In barely within a week, Lemonade replied to me, investigated the claim and sorted it out. Special reach-out to the customer care department for constantly being available when needed and helping me get over my loss. The team at Lemonade took matters into their own hands as if the stolen property was their own! Kudos.
