    I'm trying to be as honest as possible. They're still an insurance company so it's still a big hassle to deal with them BUT, aside from some bureaucratic pains here and there, I was happy with the end result, and they're as good as an insurance company can get. I would recommend, but pay the extra money for the zero deductible thing; it's worth it.

    I have renter's insurance from them. While traveling, my backpack was stolen with my laptop in it. When I filed the claim, it was an easy process handled through my phone without lots of typing or delays. The best part is, Lemonade approved it in 6 seconds and provided more money than I was expecting!

    This was my first time filing a claim, but I never expected the process to be so fast, easy and generous. Getting Lemonade renter's insurance is certainly worth it - I couldn't be more happy with their service.

    Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    Overall Experience:

    I didn’t think it was possible to truly have an insurance company that gives you peace of mind of coverage, friendly service, super easy and fun to use, and actually most importantly, is there at your time of need.

    The process of setting up my policy was easy, but when I had an expensive scarf stolen from me while traveling in the UK, I had low expectations that my policy back in New York would cover the theft. My experience with insurance companies has been that they make it super complicated, try every means to deny a claim, and hope that they don’t actually have to pay out anything. But it took me about 45 minutes of gathering documentation and doing a video explaining what happened and 48 hours later I’m getting an email saying that the claim has been approved and the funds are being deposited in my account.

    I wish the rest of life could be this easy. Thank you Lemonade.

    I recently had my laptop stolen while traveling and filing a claim with Lemonade was easy and fast!

    Not only was it super simple to issue my claim, but it felt like they were really listening. Everyone I interacted with had sympathy for my situation and were kind, attentive and accommodating.

    I felt like I was dealing with real humans even though part of the experience was automated. That is THE best of both worlds because it means the process is efficient, effective and personalized.

    Super happy with Lemonade. They are giving me more than I expected for my 4-year-old laptop, to be honest. It has already been spent on a new one of course, but still, a much more satisfying end than to just spend on new equipment I didn't need and feel helpless about it.

    Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    I honestly can say that I could NOT be more PLEASED with my entire experience to date with Lemonade.

    From signing up for renter's insurance in the fall of 2017 to submitting my first claim in February of 2018, the entire interaction has been simple, comprehensive, and way beyond satisfactory.

    My first (and hopefully last) claim was processed and approved in less than two hours.

    I have, and will continue to recommend the company wholeheartedly. Lemonade absolutely rocks.

    I was extremely happy to find out my policy covered an auto theft my son fell victim to. Off campus, on a college field trip, his friend's car was broken into. My son's laptop, backpack, wallet, ID's, bank cards and a few other belongings all stolen. He made a police report. I made a claim to Lemonade and received an approval in just one day! I even filed this claim six months after it happened because, for one thing, I didn't realize my policy covered theft, and secondly, it took me awhile to find my receipt to my son's laptop. I am so thankful to Lemonade for making this process so easy. This is the BEST renters insurance I've ever had.

    Sincerely thankful! If you don't have insurance, don't wait, Lemonade is amazing, and the rates are so cheap!

  • Lemonade renters insurance fulfilling claim

    Overall Experience:

    Great job, timely fulfillment of my claim. The bike was stolen on Friday, and the claim was fulfilled the next business day (Monday). No hassle. There were a few technical bugs with the app when trying to submit the information, but it ultimately did not deter me. I would suggest that Lemonade do some Q&A on their iOS app for iPhone 6.

    My bike was recently stolen from inside my apartment building, and I was distraught as it is my primary mode of transportation to work and around the city. Fortunately, I had added the bike to my renter's insurance policy with Lemonade (a process that in itself was painless!) and decided to submit a claim in the app. The claim process is entirely driven by AI and done securely through their app on my phone. The claim was approved in a matter of minutes and allowed me to even record a video explaining exactly what happened. The entire process was approved, and the money was en route to my checking account without once talking to a human being! Absolutely lights years ahead of any other insurance related experience I've had in my 30 years. HIGHLY recommended!

    P.S. My policy rates are also the LOWEST I've paid for renters insurance in my life plus I get the peace of mind knowing that any leftover money from my claims as a customer are contributed to a charity of MY choice. The way insurance SHOULD be.

    When the leak happened in my apartment and all my stuff got damaged by the water, I was devastated because I've heard stories of renter's insurance where if you file a claim you would end up having your rates higher to pay monthly, and me being a first time renter insurance applicant, I didn't know what to expect. But I am very satisfied and very happy that I went with Lemonade because it was super easy to file a claim and explain what happened in the app that I downloaded for Lemonade.

    Also, the agent that helped me with my claim was super helpful and nice, and I appreciate very much the easy and simple get-your-claim-in-and-out way that they did with my claim. I only had to explain what was damaged, take pictures of it, and then a quick phone call and that was it. I got my money for my valuables that was damaged within my insurance policy that I purchased.

    I wouldn't recommend any other company except for Lemonade because they are truly really here to want to help not just take your money and help you with nothing but more bills to pay. The rates are very amazing, and I am going to stick with Lemonade for as long as I need renter's insurance. I appreciate it very much the fast service that I received and the professional way things were handled with my claim.

  • Fast response and excellent service

    Overall Experience:

    After crashing my bike and causing serious injuries to myself, the last thing I needed was a long battle with my insurance provider. Fortunately, Lemonade was easy to communicate with, sympathetic to my condition, and quick to get my claim settled.

    I provided proof of purchase and pictures of the damage and within days was reimbursed for the cost of the bike.

    Their app made the claim easy to process and was a great avenue for communication with the team.

    I would highly recommend Lemonade to anybody.
