About Lipo Drops

Targeted at individuals over the age of 35 who exercise and eat right, but just can’t seem to lose weight, Lipo Drops is a dietary supplement that claims to include clinically tested, all-natural lipotropic amino acids, such as choline and L-carnitine, to help provide your body what it needs to metabolize fat. This is because Lipo Drops are claimed to address a condition known as lipotropic amino deficiency, which reduces your body’s ability to metabolize fat and to lose weight.

How to Use Lipo Drops

In order to accomplish this, Lipo Drops is claimed to be taken sublingually (e.g. under your tongue), which absorbs the ingredients directly into your bloodstream, making it more effective than pills or tablets. Once inside your body, Lipo Drops’ ingredients are claimed to help increase your metabolism and help your body “break down stored fat and get into cells to be burned as fuel.”

According to the Lipo Drops website, the supplement contains no hormones or caffeine, tastes great, and should be taken twice daily. With regular use, the manufacturer claims you’ll experience results in about 2 weeks, and that you can expect to lose 1-2 pounds per week along with a sensible, calorie-restricted diet. As always, exercise can help improve these results.

Lipo Drops Pricing & Refund Policy

2 bottles (60-day supply) of Lipo Drops are priced at $39.95 plus $7.95 S&H, bringing your total to $47.90.

However, keep in mind that you’ll have 2 options when checking out: Either a one-time order, or an autoship order. If you choose to sign up for the autoship program, this means that you’ll continue receiving a 60-day supply of Lipo Drops once every two months, and your credit card will be billed $39.95 plus $7.95 S&H each time.

Regardless of which option you choose, your Lipo Drops order is claimed to include a nutritional plan, although no additional information about the plan is provided on the supplement’s website.

Important note: Lipo Drops is claimed to come with a satisfaction guarantee, although there is some confusion regarding exactly what this guarantee entails. We’ll go into much more detail about this in the final section.

In order to initiate a refund or to cancel your autoship enrollment, you’ll need to contact customer service at 866-881-1714.

What Do Other Consumers Have to Say About Lipo Drops?

Although the Lipo Drops website has been registered since 2012, and the supplement appears to have been marketed in several different formulations (including garcinia cambogia) since that time, there aren’t a whole lot of online customer reviews available.

However, among those that are available, Lipo Drops appears to have a mixed customer reputation, with the most common complaints citing failure to work, high price, and bad taste. In fact, one DietSpotlight reviewer even went so far as to claim that it “makes [them] think of poison,” while others claimed that the taste didn’t bother them (although none claimed that it was good), and some claimed to have simply gotten used to the taste over time.

According to the Lipo Drops website, the supplement is manufactured by Lipoproducts LLC, although the company is not registered with the Better Business Bureau. However, it’s interesting to note that according to Trademarkia, Lipo Drops appears to have been previously marketed as a “veterinary preparation, namely, a supplementary dietary source of the lipotropic factors choline, inositol, and methionine for dogs.”

Can Lipo Drops Help You Burn Fat & Lose Weight?

When it comes down to it, are Lipo Drops really a “state of the art dietary supplement used for enhanced fat metabolism” as the company claims? Perhaps, but keep the following in mind:

What Ingredients Does it Contain?

Most importantly, other than claiming that the supplement contains choline and L-carnitine (DietSpotlight also includes inositol and methionine), there is not a complete ingredients list provided on the Lipo Drops website. This is something that you’ll be putting in your body, and it’s of the utmost importance that you know what it contains, which is something we outlined in our Nutritional Supplements Buyer’s Guide.

Is Lipo Drops Clinically Tested?

Remember that, although Lipo Drops claims that their ingredients have been clinically tested, this does not mean the supplement itself has been clinically tested.

With this said, according to WebMD, choline, l-carnitine, inositol, and methionine all have insufficient evidence (or in some instances, none at all) showing that they can help your cells metabolize fat or for you to lose weight.

What Does Lipo Drops’ Satisfaction Guarantee Entail?

Next, as we mentioned in the Pricing section above, we encountered some conflicting information about the Lipo Drops satisfaction guarantee during our research.

According to the disclaimer located at the bottom of the Lipo Drops home page, Lipo Drops comes with a 10-day satisfaction guarantee, which entails a full refund of the purchase price, including original shipping charges and return shipping costs back to the manufacturer. However, the Customer Service page states that the supplement comes with a 30-day money back guarantee, less S&H charges.

To further add to the confusion, the Lipo Drops FAQ page claims that “If for any reason, you are not satisfied with your results after two weeks, please call customer service for a return authorization number and you will be refunded your full purchase price of the product.”

Because of this confusion, we attempted to contact customer service on more than one occasion in order to clear up some of these seeming discrepancies. However, each time we called, we received a message stating that customer service was closed, even though we were calling during their posted business hours of 7:30am to 6pm, M-F Central Standard Time. After receiving this notification, the system automatically disconnects the call without the ability to leave a message. Because of this, none of the above information could be confirmed.

Your Information Will be Shared

Finally, according to the Lipo Drops Privacy Policy, your information may be used “For users to obtain information and offers for products and services offered by Site as well as selected third parties.” While it’s claimed that you can opt out of this, you might receive some unwanted spam/phone calls in the process.

Bottom line: Considering the lack of complete ingredient information, the lack of clinical evidence showing that Lipo Drops’ ingredients can help you lose weight, confusion regarding the return policy, and inability to reach customer service, we might recommend speaking with your physician about additional methods of helping you to lose weight.

    I was scammed

I had ordered Lipo drops and called back to cancel at my doctors advice. It was shipped to me and my money taken by debit card anyway. In the enclosed box their was a customer service phone number that was not legit. Once I looked it up on internet and got correct phone number, it repeatedly told me center was closed. Please do not order or have anything to do with this illegitimate company, they will only scam you too. Be aware.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
