What is LumaSlim Forskolin?
If you’re looking to shave off some pounds, LumaSlim Forskolin claims to have the answer you’ve been searching for. The dietary supplement promises to help you lose weight and detoxify your body with a powerful formula of ingredients that allows it to naturally increase your energy, boost metabolism, and enhance overall weight management.
The makers of the supplement claim that these benefits all stem from the power of its core ingredients, which we’ll dive into in just a moment. Before that, however, let’s spend a few minutes unpacking a few basic principles revolving around our body’s digestive health. After doing so, we should be in a much better position to evaluate LumaSlim Forskolin’s effectiveness.
Will LumaSlim Forskolin Help Detoxify the Body?
One of the primary claims made by the makers of LumaSlim Forskolin is that the ingredients included in its formula can cleanse and detoxify the body. They state that research has shown that your colon has parasites that prevent the body from absorbing certain nutrients, and that the supplement’s formula can flush out harmful food debris and toxins, leaving it functioning optimally. Is this truly what you can expect? And moreover, is this practice even necessary?
According to WebMD, the concept of colon cleansing is not a new one; it’s been around for quite a while actually, and was accepted as necessary by many 19th century doctors. The health authority site states that though colon cleansing is still “big business” in modern times, research has actually shown that the colon is quite adept at taking care of itself–without help from external sources.
As it turns out, colon cleansing can even be harmful to the body in certain cases. Melinda Johnson, MS, RD, a registered dietitian based in Phoenix, Arizona, and a spokeswoman for the American Dietetic Association had this to say about the matter in the article above: "Colon cleansers are really not strictly regulated and tested. If a product is shown to be harmful, the FDA will take action to have it removed from shelves, but it's not at all the same as taking a prescription drug that's been tested meticulously."
Instead of these options, Johnson recommends a diet high in water and fiber as a natural colon cleanser, stating that fiber in particular is like a “toothbrush” for the colon. So, what does this mean for you in the end? "They may provide temporary relief if you're constipated," Johnson states, "And yes they will cleanse your colon of its contents, but they can also be dangerous, expensive and inconvenient."
The takeaway; your colon knows what it’s doing, and doesn’t need a supplement to stay healthy (just eat a balanced diet, instead).
LumaSlim Forskolin Ingredients
There wasn’t a dedicated ingredient list on the product’s website at the time of this writing, so we reached out to customer service for clarification, who attempted to redirect us to another product, LumaSlim Garcinia. When we asked about the Forskolin product specifically, they told us they did not have the information on hand.
Based on our experience reporting on similar products over the years, as well as listening to reader feedback on said solutions, we feel that this is a red flag. Why? To be straightforward, we believe that you should know exactly what you are putting into your body before you agree to hand over your hard-earned money.
This said, based on the branding shown on the bottle, it’s likely that the supplement includes Coleus forskohlii root (also known as forskolin), though it isn’t shown in what amount, other than the fact that it’s listed as containing a 20% concentration. Without knowing how much of the ingredient is actually within the product, this tells us very little.
Examine.com reports some evidence that forskolin may have an impact on reducing fat mass in obese individuals, but admits that the study was limited based on a high degree of variance from the male-only test subjects. WebMD reported that there is insufficient evidence linking the substance to obesity as of this writing.
In addition to this main ingredient, the text on LumaSlim Forskolin’s website mentions aloe vera and psyllium seed husk as two other ingredients included in its formula.
Aloe has been linked to weight loss by WebMD, who reports that “taking a specific aloe product (Aloe QDM complex, Univera Inc., Seoul, South Korea) containing 147 mg of aloe gel twice daily for 8 weeks reduces body weight and fat mass in overweight or obese people with diabetes or prediabetes.”
Examine.com states that while “Preliminary studies show benefit with aloe vera in controlling weight, the mechanisms do not seem as potent as other anti-obesity supplements.”
As for psyllium, Examine.com reported “no convincing evidence to link it to weight loss,” though multiple sources including Healthline, WebMD, and the Mayo Clinic report it to be an effective laxative.
Potential LumaSlim Forskolin Side Effects
The following side effect information was taken from WebMD, Drugs.com, and Examine.com:
- Forskolin: Can cause an increase in stomach acid levels, which might be unhealthy for those currently suffering from stomach ulcers. No dosage information was provided for this substance, other than Examine.com who reported a common dosage of 250 mg of a supplement that contains 10% forskolin, twice a day, for a 500 mg total daily dose.
- Aloe Vera: Though a large variety of side effects were reported in animals at dosages larger than 100mg/kg or greater bodyweight, no serious side effects were reported for humans.
- Psyllium: Examine.com reports that “treatment with doses around 5-10g taken thrice a day do not appear to be associated with any significant side effects beyond sporadic and transient cramping and intestinal discomfort in some persons”.
Not to sound like a broken record, but again, without dosage amounts for these ingredients, or even a confirmed list of them used in the supplement, there’s no way to guarantee that these will be the only possible side effects associated with taking LumaSlim Forskolin.

How to Purchase a Weight Loss Supplement Like LumaSlim Forskolin
Here at HighYa, we’ve covered dozens of weight-loss supplements in the past, and as a result, we’ve learned quite a bit about them from authority sources such as WebMD, the Mayo Clinic, and the FTC. We’ve also been listening to reader feedback, and one specific lesson we’ve learned is that these sorts of products often try to prompt a purchase by appealing to your emotions, prompting you to make a hasty decision.
We’ve even written an entire guide on the subject, which you can read right here. So, put into context with LumaSlim Forskolin, what does this mean for you? Are these kinds of products just a total waste of time?
Surprisingly, a survey carried out by Consumer Reports revealed that 90 percent of supplement users found that they didn’t provide the weight loss benefits claimed by their manufacturers.
If you are dead set on trying out a dietary supplement, however, here are a few tips to guide you during your search for an effective one:
- Carefully evaluate the ingredients. If none are present, we consider this a red flag for reasons mentioned in the ingredients section above. Why should you trust something if you don’t know what’s inside of it? If ingredients are listed, be sure to take note of the amounts of each of them included in the formula. Without this information, it can be very difficult to determine both the safety and effectiveness of the supplement.
- Check to see what others are saying about the product. A good place to start with this is here on HighYa and other reputable consumer advocacy organizations. Just be sure to watch out for affiliate websites. Also, if the product is available on Amazon, be sure to read through what verified customers are saying.
- Remember that no diet pill in the world can be your “magic fix.” Regardless of how effective any solution is or isn’t, the key to reaching your weight loss goals involves combining and committing to better fitness and dietary choices. The Bottom Line: Our Thoughts on LumaSlim Forskolin
So, based on everything that we’ve learned, can LumaSlim Forskolin be expected to truly deliver increased energy, boosted metabolism rates and enhanced weight management?
According to WebMD and Examine.com, Coleus forskohlii root lacks conclusive evidence supporting its ability to reduce fat mass in obese individuals. In addition, we learned that customer service was not able to provide us a full list of the ingredients used in the product’s formula (or their concentration amounts).
When you couple these concerns with the potentially costly $79.95 monthly charge (should you fail to cancel the trial before its completion), as consumers ourselves, we’d find it hard to rationalize putting our money on the line, knowing so many questions remain.
Instead, what we might do is pay a visit to a local dietician or other healthcare professional to discuss the issues you are currently facing. This way, you can receive actionable, tailored advice that may be able to put you on the path to true progress. With the right knowledge, skills, and perseverance, you really can reach your weight loss goals.

Don't be suckered in!
This company is nothing but a scam; stay far away!
The trial they offer comes with a charge to your credit card in less than 20 days for $160 for the 1st month, and the 2nd month $170.
They will not refund you or take back the product; they tell you to give it away as a gift. And to boot, customer service is condescending.
If you want to be ripped off, go for it. You have the right company to be scammed.
Also, their charges will go under 3 different companies.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
