I ordered it and returned it before the 30 says and they keep giving me the run-around for refund. I paid for something that I returned. Scam company. Will take your money and won't return.

Luminess Air, duped!

I ordered the Luminess Air online (based on the advertisement on TV) clearly thinking I was getting it for around $50 with a few sample makeup bottles (they are tiny). I received it, tried it once and didn't like it. I didn't return it (big mistake) because in my mind I thought, I'll just eat the $50 I already paid! Two weeks ago, my bank account was charged $82.94. The first of five easy payments. Do the math, $414.70. That's in addition to the $50 paid up front.

Obviously, at some point, I missed the "small print" about the $50 basically being a rental cost for this cheap machine! Now because I'm just passed the 30 day return policy, I apparently can not return the product. When I called, they basically told me, too bad, so sad (as they laugh all the way to the bank). I am responsible for ALL payments. This is total BULL. I was duped. ANYONE want to buy this machine from me? I'll sell it for half

Crap

I was completely misled when I purchased this junk. It is the worst makeup I have ever put on my face. Plus it is very user unfriendly.

But I guess I didn't truly understand the cost involved. I thought it was a one-time purchase, but I kept getting charged for this crappy makeup every month. Buyer beware. Read between the lines.

It would be one thing if this makeup lived up to what it advertised, but it is awful.

Scam and disappointed

I ordered the Luminess system in hopes it would be a great new way to do my makeup, and it would look good! I ordered it under a promotional price, which when they charged my card, it was double the price!

Once I received the product, I read the enclosed literature and discovered there would be several additional monthly payments of almost $50! I immediately called to get the “return authorization number” and spent $11 to mail the package back to Luminess.

One month later I have not received my refund and called to inquire about it. I was told it was “trial offer” and it was non-refundable! I did not remove the plastic wrap from the airbrush system nor did I open the boxes which contained the makeup! I told the agent on my call that the package had never been opened, and he informed me even though he had not been opened, they could not resell it as new, only as refurbished and therefore I could not get a refund!

Never again will I purchase anything from Luminess. This adventure cost me a total of $48 for nothing! Don’t buy this product if you are smart!

Nice product, bad company

When I purchased the Luminess Air system in November, I was very specific about not wanting to be involved in any membership. I waved the $39 trial and purchased the machine outright for $198. On January 4th I was charged $41. I immediately contacted them via email regarding what I assumed to be a mistake. Never heard a response. Five days later I was charged another $39. Another email went out. No response and no phone number was provided to call directly.

I contacted PayPal and had them block Luminess Air as they were making fraudulent charges. Which they did. I am now being bombarded with emails threatening collections for services I never signed up for.

The last email finally included a phone number. The customer service agent stated I now owe another $80 which will continue to acquire $20 late charges if not paid.

I stated that I did not sign up for the membership and that I paid for the equipment outright and he stated that "I had no clue what I was signing up for" and I still owe. This is a very dishonest company and I will never do business with them again. I hope you can save consumers the trouble I am dealing with.

I have filed a complaint with the BBB in regards to their false advertising and horrible customer service.

Not a happy camper!

I ordered the Luminous Air product in December, before my son's wedding. When I started working with it, I found that it required much more physical product than the two drops they recommended. The makeup was 'cakey and dry' on my skin, and after a couple of weeks, I decided it was not going to work for me. I called to return it, and the sales rep suggested I try a different type of foundation and offered to send it. She said many women like this product better, which begs the question, "why send us the first cakey product at all?"

I tried the new make up and didn't like either the texture or the color match and decided the whole airbrush experience wasn't for me. I called to get return instructions and did exactly as they required, and asked to be discontinued as a customer. They credited my card for $42.94. Great! But the next month, another charge on my credit card. When I called, they told me my request came in too late to stop the billing (conveniently, for them).

The next month, another billing! I called again, and the rep told me that they couldn't stop my membership without a tracking number from the shipment I sent back (they didn't tell me they needed the tracking number when I called for return information). She assured me that I wouldn't get another billing.

Guess what? This month, another billing! I called again, and they said they have no record of me returning the product, so I needed to pay this final payment to complete the 3-month payment schedule. I gave this rep the name of the rep and the date I called the previous month, and he said, "she must have given you inaccurate information" WHAT? He said they still had no way of knowing if I sent the product back (check your warehouse!)

I tracked my credit card statements and "no," they did not give me credit for the trial period. I don't know if they are a reputable company when they are lying to their customers. I am SO DONE with them. Very frustrated and disappointed.

False advertising

Be VERY careful with this company. They will continue to bill you forever. Slimy fine print that they don't tell you about and shows up on the product. Customer service is absolutely no help, keep repeating the same rhetoric over and over!

Customer service doesn't call you back.

Trial offer is a HOAX. Don't order from them ever!

Total scam!

I made a mistake and got the gadget and one set of makeup. Now, they are charging my card every month. They charge $1.00 first and if it goes through they charge me $42.95, and $38.95 every month in different days. When I realized in August (I bought the machine in July), I called them and told them that I do not want to be a member, I do not do makeup every day. They agreed, I paid whatever I owed. I thought that will be the end of Luminess. Now every month since August, September, October, they have been charging me twice with the above amounts, totaling $250. I called again, demanded to speak with a supervisor. They said, she/he will call in an hour. Nobody called of course.

This is illegal to begin with, I did not authorize anybody to charge my card every month, and they are just charing for nothing, the gadget has been paid already. It was a terrible mistake. I am waiting to see another charge, I will sue them this time. This is the biggest scam I ever had an experience with. Shame on you. The person who spoke to me told me that the only thing they can do refund the last payment! Unbelievable!

Scam

I ordered the product and nowhere did I see anything that said you were renting it for $20.00. But after trying it for a few days my face itched terribly and broke out. It is a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, so I got the RA number that you have to have to return it, and it was then they tell me not only do I not receive my money back, but I also have to pay return shipping for it! This is a total SCAM! I will NEVER recommend this to anyone, as a matter of fact, I will warn people not to fall for it!

Worse customer service managers who don't have time to talk!

You're welcome for my 100% real experience review everywhere! And all my conversations were recorded for training purposes by Luminess Air LLC Stafford (use them, management included).

110% dissatisfied customer! This is all because of the customer service manager refusing to speak directly with a customer. Along with being dishonest during the entire process! I would like to say that the customer service representative did his best! The supervisors have no time to speak with an upset customer!

On 12/13/18 I called to inquire about my purchase for my daughter (a 45-minute call I might add). They told me it was shipped and should have arrived. Ok...it didn't no surprise due to all the holidays shipping going on.

I told the CSR gentleman that it's very important for me to have it as I need to mail it out ASAP. He excused himself, talked to the supervisor, and came back and said they will ship out another item and it will most likely not make it to me on time for Christmas. I told him I was greatly disappointed even more now! I asked because I can see on their website to expedite the package! He excuses himself and says he can't. I ask him to ask his supervisor, he comes back and says the supervisor said to cancel my order and then reorder it with expedited shipping!

I said that's absurd! I ask for the supervisor to speak with me and guess what folks? The supervisor is too busy to talk with me! I ash the CSR to ask the supervisor to figure something out better for this situation, as I live less than 1 mile away, I wanted to just come in person and sign for it the very same day so I could mail it out. Well, the CSR says his manager said no! I tell them to ask the manager to reship it Priority Mail! He then came back and said now she can do that! Really...

So I waited the four days to receive the product and two days extra because of Christmas shipping issues. I called today, 12/19/18 and he told me it wasn't shipped out until 12/17/18 and it won't make it to me in time! I asked to speak with the manager, he came back and says that they won't talk with me, they are too busy to handle my situation now of after another 30+ minutes wasted in this call today!

I told them to cancel my order. He excuses himself and comes back and says his manager said they cannot cancel my order! So now there is smoke flying out of my ears and I've had enough! I called the location directly and the office manager won't speak with me either!

I choose what companies I buy from and Luminess Direct LLC Stafford will not directly get my money! I have good credit and pay all my bills on time and my creditors love me. I filed a dispute with Mastercard and they assured me I will get my money back!

Hey folks, there's this place called something "_bay" that has the exact product with exceptional service too!

Scam, need to be reported

If anyone has been a victim of this company like me, you need to come forward and initiate a movement against this company. I cannot believe how he can be so legit to steal people’s money like that. And nobody said anything. It’s shameful and we need to stop it. We have to come together to do something. Enough is enough.
