Created by Andrea Albright, the My Bikini Butt system claims to be a lower body workout guide that can help reduce the appearance of cellulite, tighten and lift your butt, slim and tone your thighs, and give you a flat tummy.

In order to accomplish this, Andrea claims that My Bikini Butt uses a two-pronged approach. First, the program includes a “scientifically designed healthy eating plan” that features delicious and easy-to-prepare foods that should be eaten before and after you perform specific exercises.

Second, these exercises are claimed to use patented a Time-Tension Principle™ that trigger “fat-eating enzymes” known as AMPK (also called SlimZynes by Andrea). Once triggered, these enzymes are claimed to help you lose weight and smooth out the appearance of cellulite.

According to Andrea, the My Bikini Butt system is ideal for women of all ages, and takes no more than 90 minutes of your time each week (we’ll talk more about this in a moment).

You know summertime is just around the corner when hundreds of fitness and nutrition plans begin advertising around the clock. But among all the sales hype, is the My Bikini Butt program any different, and is it worth your money? Consider the following:

Who is Andrea Albright?

Andrea Albright is a fitness expert that claims to have been overweight most of her life, until she decided to do something about it. Today, Andrea is “a natural weight loss expert, author, motivational speaker, and the creator of AmazingBodyNow.com” and Fitology.

What is AMPK (Also Known As “SlimZynes”)?

AMPK (or AMP activated protein kinase) is a type of enzyme responsible for, among other things, “increased mitochondrial biogenesis and capacity, increased muscle glycogen, and an increase in enzymes which specialize in glucose uptake in cells,” as well as lipid metabolism, glucose transport, and more.

In layman’s terms, increased AMPK within the body can potentially provide a wide range of benefits, including increased glucose uptake to muscles, increased fatty acid oxidation, and improved protein synthesis, which can help prevent fat from being stored and help muscles repair/rebuild themselves after exercise.

However, in order for this to occur, your muscles need to have high glycogen content, which might be where My Bikini Butt’s diet plan comes in (we’re not provided any additional information about this).

Is the My Bikini Butt Program Scientifically Proven?

Although the AMPK enzyme clearly provides some benefits for the human body that are well documented from a clinical perspective, according to the program’s website, “there have been no scientific studies performed on the specific workout program and diet I give you in My Bikini Butt.”

What is the Time-Tension Principle™?

Although there aren’t any specifics about the Time-Tension Principle presented on the My Bikini Butt website, it appears to be a re-branded version of the Time Under Tension method, which simply involves “squeezing the muscle at the completion of a rep.”

In fact, dozens of Andrea’s videos can be found for free on her My My Bikini Butt YouTube channel, where you’ll see that these involve squeezing specific muscle groups to get the most out of each workout.

How Long Do My Bikini Butt Exercises Take to Complete?

According to Andrea, the My Bikini Butt system involves 30-minute workouts every other day, although you’ll also need 4-6 hours per week to “purchase and prepare healthy food” that is part of a “low calorie, low sugar diet.”

Will You Need Additional Equipment for My Bikini Butt?

Once again, according to the My Bikini Butt website, “Exercises are intense and incorporate high intensity resistance training.” As such, unless you’re only performing bodyweight exercises, it appears that you’ll need some additional equipment in order to get the most out of the program.

However, no additional information is provided about which types of equipment you’ll need.

When searching online for My Bikini Butt reviews, most of what we encountered were either independent bloggers who gave their opinions about the program (presumably in exchange for free access), or from independent affiliates who created fake review websites.
