The recipient of five worldwide patents, Nectar7 is a NAD+ activator supplement (don’t worry, we’ll explain all of this gobbledygook in a second!) that’s been clinically shown to boost NAD+ levels by 30% after just one dose!
The result? You’ll experience improved physical and mental health, boosted cognitive function (memory, concentration, focus, etc.), increased metabolism (hello weight loss!), and will reverse aging at the cellular level. In other words, Nectar7 Niagen will help you come close to achieving “100% of your mental and physical capabilities”!
And when you add Nectar7 Niagen & Collagen into the mix, you’ll also be able to restore your skin’s suppleness, your hair’s luster, and your joint and muscle strength. All you have to do is take two 250mg capsules daily on an empty stomach.
Look, there’s no doubt that if Nectar7’s Niagen supplements work even remotely as well as advertised, you can expect some big benefits. But does it? That’s exactly what we’ll help you figure out here.
However, this might be a bit more complicated of a topic than you’d expect, so let’s start from square one.
What is Niagen? Can It Really Improve Your Health?
If you’re interested in the full details behind Niagen, we’d strongly recommend reading through our Nicotinamide Riboside User’s Guide. But if you don’t have time right now, we totally understand. So, here’s a step-by-step summary (as quickly as possible, given that it’s a complicated topic) of the situation:
Step 1: Nicotinamide Riboside
First, we have nicotinamide riboside (or NR, a version of vitamin B3). By itself, NR isn’t very useful. But once inside your body, it binds with proteins to create an enzyme (a chemical precursor) known as nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, or NAD+. Stick with us here.
Step 2: NAD+
In turn, NAD+ can help mitochondria inside your cells better create energy and improve information transmission between other cells. And although the scientific community has been researching NAD+ since 1953, it wasn’t until 2013 when a study conducted at Harvard University found that “raising NAD+ levels in old mice restored mitochondrial function to that of a young mouse.”
Step 3: The Reality
Specifically, that the mice’s tissue decreased in age significantly. And, “In human years, this would be like a 60-year-old converting to a 20-year-old in these specific areas.”
Exciting, right? Definitely, but it’s important to temper your excitement based on the fact that 1) none of these studies were conducted on humans, so we can’t be sure that any of us will experience the same, and 2) what clinical research that has been conducted on humans failed to show any significant results.
Now, did you notice that every time Niagen was mentioned on the Nectar7 website, it had a registered trademark symbol (®) next to it? Let’s talk about that next.
Is Nectar7 the Only Way You Can Get Niagen?
Continuing to reference our Nicotinamide Riboside User’s Guide from above, NAD+ is a fairly common chemical used in research, where it’s typically “derived from tryptophan through an 8-step biological process.” With so many steps though, the process is often time consuming and inefficient.
But when it comes to nicotinamide riboside, it can reduce this process down to just two steps, making it an attractive alternative. Here’s the catch though:
A company named ChromaDex is the only one currently producing commercially available NR, which they’ve branded under the name Niagen. So, when it comes to Nectar7, this means two important things:
- Despite how the website makes it seem, ChromaDex is who offers the “first and only commercially available form of (NR) in the world today,” not Nectar7. In fact, if you search online for “Niagen supplements,” you’ll come across several different brands, including HPN, Live Cell Research, and more (we’ll come back to this).
- In other words, Nectar7 isn’t creating a supplement or ingredient, so much as they’re just distributing one that already exists (and in one of their other supplements, simply adding hydrolyzed collagen).
But is Nectar7 pricing their Niagen supplement like they’re the only available source?

A Quick Word About Nectar7’s Arbitration
If you had a legal dispute with a company, you might file a lawsuit and take them to court. Or, you might decide to join a class action lawsuit if others have experienced the same.
But in the case of Nectar7, as soon as you make a purchase, you’ll be bound to an arbitration agreement. What’s this? Basically, you’ll be waiving nearly all of your legal rights, instead opting to attend mediation hearings at the place of the company’s choosing.
As you might imagine, arbitration hearings generally tend to favor the company, so this is definitely something you should keep in mind before placing your order.
Now, we already talked about a couple other Niagen options, but how do their reputations compare with Nectar7’s?
Nectar7’s Customer Feedback vs. the Competition
Despite the fact that Nectar7’s website appears to have been live since July 2015, there weren’t any online customer reviews at the time of research.
But the good news is that Live Cell’s Research’s Niagen (remember, it’s a proprietary ingredient, so it’s formulation will be the same regardless of the company you purchase it from) had 67 reader reviews here on HighYa, with a slightly-better-than-average rating of 3 stars. Overall, many customers claimed to have experienced positive results (improved sleep, reduced aches and pains, boosted energy and concentration, etc.), although the most common complaints centered around failure to experience any benefits, sharply increased blood pressure (which usually subsided after stopping the supplement), and high price.
And in general, customer reviews for Niagen supplements from other companies followed many of these same pros and cons.
Finally, from a company perspective, Nectar7 wasn’t listed with the Better Business Bureau at the time of our research, and no additional information was available about them online.
Bottom Line: Should You Buy Nectar7 Niagen?
At its most basic, there are three things to consider when answering this question:
- Nectar7 basically just purchased the rights to distribute Niagen, encapsulated it, and slapped their own label on the bottle. So, except for their other product that adds collagen, it’s basically no different than any other Niagen supplement out there.
- For the most part, Nectar7’s price seems relatively in line with what other supplements companies are charging, so there’s not a price advantage, either.
- While there is some exciting potential behind Niagen, it’s yet to be clinically proven that it will provide any benefits to humans whatsoever.
What’s all of this mean for you? From basically any perspective you look at it, you’re rolling the dice. In other words, you’re purchasing an unproven proprietary ingredient from a largely unknown company.
So, is it worth rolling the dice on Nectar7 Niagen? Ultimately, this is something only you can answer. But after reading through this review, you should be armed with all the information you need to make a smart purchasing decision.
