New Vitality Review

By HighYa Research Team

New Vitality is a nutritional supplements manufacturer based out of Farmingdale, NY that claims to provide some of the “best, most well-researched” products available. The company claims to have been founded by a team of highly experienced nutrition and fitness experts, and that they do business by the motto of “helping people live longer and look younger.”

Despite the company’s A- rating with the Better Business Bureau and their claim to “provide helpful and friendly customer service to aid in all customer questions and concerns,” New Vitality appears to have a poor online reputation for customer service, including failure to un-enroll customers from their autoship program, even after multiple requests. Regarding the company’s products, the most common complaints we encountered included failure to work as advertised, and high price.

New Vitality Products

New Vitality manufactures a wide range of products across categories such as men’s health, women’s health, skin care, nutrition, and more.

All New Vitality products are claimed to be GMP-certified, and to undergo “rigid quality control inspections to ensure maximum potency, purity and quality.” However, even though the company claims to “adhere to the highest standards of ethics and excellence,” New Vitality was the subject of a recent class-action lawsuit that alleges unethical marketing tactics and sales practices.

New Vitality Pricing, Shipping, and Refund Policy

Because New Vitality offers a wide range of products in different formulations, pricing can vary a great deal, though most supplements appear to be priced between $30 and $50 for a single bottle. Shipping generally costs $6.99 for one bottle, and $8.99 for two or more bottles. However, be sure to check out their Clearance section for some greatly reduced pricing on select products.

For most of their products, New Vitality will offer at least two different pricing options, which can be a little confusing. Let’s take a look at Ageless Male, since it offers the most basic example of what we’re talking about:

  • 1 Bottle Super Saver: $29.95
  • 1 Bottle: $39.95

What’s the difference between a standard bottle and a Super Saver bottle? The standard bottle does not include enrollment in New Vitality’s autoship program (see next paragraph), while the Super Saver option does.

As is the trend with most nutritional supplement companies, New Vitality offers the ability to receive automatic shipments every month through their autoship program. Continuing with the example above, this means that you’ll receive one bottle of Ageless Male (or whichever product you choose) every 30 days, and your credit card will be charged accordingly. According to the company’s website, your autoship program can be altered or canceled at any time, though their Better Business Bureau page lists numerous complaints that customer service was unwilling to un-enroll customers and that some were even forced to cancel their credit cards in order to put a stop to the charges.

In theory though, since you can cancel your New Vitality autoship program at any time, it would seem most cost-effective to check out using the Super Saver option, and then to just cancel it immediately thereafter. To save even more money, New Vitality is currently offering free shipping for all orders $99 and over.

All New Vitality products come with a 100% satisfaction guarantee and can be returned for a full refund (less shipping and handling charges) within 30 days of purchase. Simply contact customer service at 800-943-6465 or to begin the process.

Our Bottom Line on New Vitality

Based on our research, New Vitality does appear to be a legitimate company, who claims to be passionate about manufacturing products that enhance their customers’ lived, and to be committed to high ethical standards. However, there are a couple of things you should be aware of before placing your order.

First, by far the most common complaint we encountered during our research is New Vitality’s seeming unwillingness to un-enroll customers from their autoship program, despite numerous requests. In fact, we even read several stories of customers canceling their credit cards in order to stop the charges from recurring.

Outside of this specific problem, their customer service department seems to have a generally poor reputation for helping customers solve their problems.

We also found that New Vitality was the subject of a class action lawsuit filed in April 2013 that involves charges of unethical marketing practices. Unfortunately, we were not able to locate any information regarding the outcome of the suit.

Second, we have some concerns regarding the authenticity of the customer reviews on their website. This is primarily because they seem grossly out of proportion with the vast majority of online reviews we encountered during our research, and the products are rated much more highly. With this in mind, it’s reasonable to assume that at the very least, New Vitality may only display positive customer reviews on their website.

Next, none of New Vitality’s products are FDA-approved. However, most nutritional supplements do not achieve FDA approval, so take this information with a grain of salt.

Finally, as with most companies, New Vitality’s 30-day refund policy does not include S&H charges, and you’ll also be responsible for return shipping charges back to the company. This means that if you decide to return a $30 supplement, you could lose upwards of $15 on shipping and handling charges alone.

With all of the high-quality advertising that this company does, it wouldn't seem that they would be that shady. I did not read the ultra fine print when I ordered my first bottle of Ageless Male. So, when I received the second bottle (without knowing that I would), I called to find out how to send it back for a refund. They quickly offered me $20 to forget about it. I said NO! They then, like clockwork, offered me $50 to forget about it and not to send it back. Of course, I took this option to avoid paying more shipping back to them. What a joke.

    Beware, sham company

BEWARE! I’ve been using New Vitality products for 8 years since I fell for the deceptive lies in the infomercial on 12/16/2010. At first, I loved NightSkin and even gave it to friends. Then used their Green Tea Extract. However, with time, I found the NightSkin product is not different than any others and started using other products that I liked better alternating it in when I ran out of other product. NightSkin is a sham. The product turns BROWN in the bottle and the customer "NO SERVICE DEPARTMENT" shames you for not calling sooner and refused to replace the defective product. David, and his supervisor, Andy, even tried to tell me the Vitamin C in the product is what is turning brown and encouraged me to use it! Right, let’s add brown stuff to my clean skin at night and then I’ll have blackheads and can pay for a facial!

Even though there is no expiration date on the bottle or the box, they said this product has been discontinued, an outright lie because it’s for sale here on their website! Their auto ship is a nightmare to cancel too. I had to cancel my credit card as they ignored my emails and phone calls and continued to charge me.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    Stay away!

Ok, I'm an idiot for believing the reviews on their website.

I had several issues with their "auto ship" program. After several attempts, I finally got rid of the company. After six months of bliss not having to deal with these jokers, it happened again. Out of the blue, another charge. I called and argued that I have not made the charge or the order. After dealing with a woman who wanted to do nothing to help but wanted me to buy more product, a manager finally called and reversed the charges.

Today another charge! Yet again, no managers are available to help so I have to call back tomorrow. I felt bad for the guy that had to stop his credit card. Funny how I ended up being the same guy. Stay away, stay away, stay away. They sell most of their products to Walmart so save yourself the hassle of dealing with this inept and crooked company and buy from your local Walmart.

I've been a long standing customer of New Vitatily for a number years, always received excellent support from customer service, handles all my concerns in a timely manner. Never a problem with canceling autoship. Goes that extra mile to make sure that I'm happy.

    Thank you New Vitality.
