Nuviante is a hair growth supplement that aims to ease the suffering of anyone who struggles with hair loss, damaged strands, or less-than-ideal thickness. Boasting that their all-natural formula has already helped thousands of users, Nuviante promises to nourish thinning hair from the inside out and stimulate new growth.
The result? Stronger, healthier hair in just one month.
To help you achieve new lengths, Nuviante uses a complex of protein extracts and amino acids. This includes biotin, vitamin B5, horsetail extract, and Para-Aminobenzoic Acid (PABA).
Because thick and healthy hair plays an important part in how attractive we feel, let’s first take a look at what causes thinning before assessing if Nuviante can do the trick.
Why Hair Starts To Fall Out
Hair can thin due to over-processing, or appear to do so if overburdened by extensions, tight ponytails, or weaves—the weight of which can cause hair shafts to snap near the scalp.
For both men and women, pattern hair loss is a natural part of aging. How much and where it happens on your head is determined by genetics—though changes in hormone levels, experiencing health issues, medical treatments, or even high levels of stress can have an effect on how much hair falls out.
Regardless of your gender, it’s testosterone that’s the culprit of hair loss. For women, the inevitable loss of estrogen and increase in testosterone will cause hair to thin or fall out altogether. However, because testosterone (and its more potent offshoot, dihydrotestosterone) is the primary male hormone, it’s men that generally experience more pronounced hair loss.
What About My Hair’s Health?
Nuviante claims not only to reduce hair loss and promote new growth, but the product also promises to help repair damaged hair, strengthening and thickening each strand.
In “Everything You Need to Know about Hair Supplements in 5 Easy Steps,” we differentiate between the two main characteristics of what’s perceived as healthy hair. Hair thickness, meaning, not the heft of each strand, but the density of strands on your scalp, is different from the health of your hair—meaning shine, body, bounce, and softness.
While changes in your overall health or hormones can affect your hair’s health, it’s important to understand that the strands currently grazing your shoulders are made of proteins that are already dead.
If any supplement were effective, it would take several months to see the resulting growth.
That’s because supplements, no matter how good they are for your health (which can, in turn, help general hair growth), can’t change your genetics, hormone levels, or how you take care of your hair.
There is an exception (sort of): Because hair is mostly protein, there’s an assumption that more protein in your diet equals stronger, longer hair. While that correlation is unproven, we do know that a protein deficiency can cause hair loss and result in strands that are more delicate/ prone to breakage. However, a protein deficiency affecting your hair’s health is unlikely unless you’re suffering from serious malnutrition, the like of which can be seen in instances of excessive dieting or anorexia.

Can Nuviante Help My Damaged Or Thinning Hair?
As we mentioned above, there is no research showing a specific supplement or group of vitamins will help grow hair on your head. But that hasn’t stopped other brands from selling the dream of luscious locks, either.
While each of the above products might make slightly different claims, they share one thing in common: They’re generally poorly reviewed, though most of these reviews are related to poor customer service.
The Only Proven Way To Halt Hair Loss
Again, hair loss is different from your hair’s health—hair loss generally being the result of a shift in hormones as we age, which leads to an increased level of testosterone.
This is an important distinction because supplements, which are not regulated by the Food and Drug Administration to the same degree as drugs, can’t legally affect your hormone levels.
But, do you know what can? You guessed it: Rogaine.
Otherwise known as minoxidil, this FDA-approved drug is a topical treatment that you can purchase without a prescription.
Because there’s plenty of research showing that Rogaine works, this product should be the first stop for anyone experiencing hair loss. Just know that even minoxidil has limited regenerative powers, and works best when used early on, to stop any additional loss.
An oral medication called finasteride (known as Propecia or Proscar) stops the conversion of testosterone into its more potent form, DHT, which, as we mentioned, is the chief cause of hair loss, for both men and women. However, there are risks to taking finasteride and, as such, it’s only available by prescription.
Is Nuviante Right For You?
Based on what we’ve discovered about the ineffectiveness of hair supplements to alter hair loss or the health of hair strands, it’s our opinion that Nuviante might not live up to their claims.
Instead, if you’re experiencing thinning or otherwise unhealthy hair, the first person you should speak with is your doctor.
If you’re looking for healthier-looking hair, sure, the ingredients in Nuviante might be able to provide you with healthier hair after several months. However, they’re also found in a balanced diet. For those interested in biotin supplements, a bottle can be found at your local drugstore for less than $6!
And don’t forget, healthy hair might start at the scalp, but it’s those ends that can be a dead giveaway for damage. Check out “How to Prevent Split Ends – 10 Tips for Your Daily Routine” to learn helpful tips on keeping your hair looking great down to the tips.
Definitely a scam. After paying for my product (and being charged the 15% handling fee), I waited 4 months for the product to arrive and then got charged another 20% for international release. The product is a very cheap mascara in a bottle with a very bad brush.
I have tried canceling the order, which they wouldn't allow me to do and they have failed to provide feedback on anything.
Don't waste your money!
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
