About One Minute Chiller

One Minute Chiller’s patent pending design uses two stainless steel freezing chambers to turn piping hot liquid cold in less than a minute, without ice ever touching—or diluting—your drink.

We’re told that all you have to do is take One Minute Chiller our of the freezer and the portable device will chill a full 12 ounces of any drink, including coffee, iced tea, wine, cocktails, juices, and more.

Whether you’re headed out the door in a hurry or need some cool cocktails for your last minute get-together, there are dozens of different scenarios where One Minute Chiller might come in handy.

Will it work as quickly as advertised, though? Is it worth the price? Are there any similar options? You’re here for some answers, so let’s discuss what we learned during our research.

Can One Minute Chiller Really Work In Less Than 60 Seconds?

If you search online for “drink chiller,” you’ll come across many electronic devices that can quickly chill cans, bottles, and wine bottles in between one and six minutes.

Most of these countertop models work by circulating ice and water around a rapidly spinning can or bottle, which quickly and evenly cools the liquid inside. Obviously, they’ll take up more room than something like One Minute Chiller, and you’ll be responsible for supplying the ice and water.

One the up side, some of these powered models even give you the ability to choose between refrigerator cold and ice cold, depending on the beverage and your temperature preferences.

On the other hand, One Minute Chiller claims to utilize a completely different concept, but one that delivers similar results.

In this case, there is a total of three chambers: 1) the black plastic outside portion, 2) a large stainless steel insert, and 2) a small stainless steel insert.

After placing One Minute Chiller in the freezer for the appropriate length of time, all three of these chambers will be ice cold. So, when liquid is poured inside, it’s immediately trapped between the large and small inserts, which work to quickly cool the drink down.

One Minute Chiller Chamber DesignOne Minute Chiller’s patent pending two-chamber design promises to rapidly cool any liquid in less than 60 seconds.

Given the fact that One Minute Chiller’s dual chambers confine the liquid inside to a small space and apply coldness from two sides, it seems logical that it would cool things down faster than a refrigerator, freezer, or ice-filled cooler.

Will this occur in less than a minute? This remains to be seen (we’ll discuss why in a second).

However, it’s important to keep in mind that not even electric drink chillers claim to cool something like boiling coffee down to refrigerator temps in less than 60 seconds, so it might be advantageous to keep your expectations realistic with One Minute Chiller.

How Much Does One Minute Chiller Cost?

One Minute Chiller is priced at $19.99 plus $7.99 S&H. At checkout, you can double your order for a separate $9.99 fee.

One Minute Chiller is sold through Bulbhead (a division of Telebrands), who offers a 30-day return policy, less S&H, along with a 10-year guarantee.

To make good on the refund policy or guarantee, customer service can be reached at 855-668-1655.

Based on this price, are customers finding that One Minute Chiller provides a solid level of value?

Does One Minute Chiller Come With Good Reviews?

One Minute Chiller was newly released at the time of our research, hence a lack of online customer feedback. Can we learn anything from reviews for the manufacturer’s other products, though?

As the largest company in the ASOTV industry, Telebrands has manufactured hundreds of popular products in their 30+ year history, including recent standouts like Red Copper Pan, Hurricane 360 Spin Mop, and TouCan Can Opener.

Like most other products in this niche from third-party companies, these tend to come with 2-star or lower average ratings from HighYa readers, based on three common complaints:

  • Didn’t perform as advertised
  • Didn’t last as long as expected
  • Didn’t experience quality customer service

Now, considering the fact that Telebrands sells millions of units per year to satisfied customers, we’re certainly not saying you’ll experience any of the same with One Minute Chiller. We’re just here to make sure you have all the information you need before handing over your money.

Are There Other Drink Chillers Like One Minute Chiller?

As discussed above; yes, there are several different countertop devices that can chill a 12oz can of liquid in less than a minute, along with wine bottles in slightly more time.

There are even handheld, battery-powered options that also spin drinks in ice and water (but in a traditional cooler), which might accomplish much of the same, but at a price more in line with One Minute Chiller.

Bottom Line: Should You Buy One Minute Chiller?

In the end, we’re not here to tell you what to do with your money.

But, if you’re looking for something as small and simple as One Minute Chiller, that has no moving parts, needs no power, and doesn’t require you to add ice and water, it’s really the only game in town.

Whether or not it’ll deliver similar results as these plug-in or handheld options, however, remains to be seen.

One thing appears clear, though: One Minute Chiller’s emphasis on cooling down coffee might have been what originally grabbed your attention. In this respect, just keep in mind that not even powered chillers can cool hot coffee down to iced coffee levels in 60 seconds—or meaningfully longer times, for that matter.

Given this, if you’re looking to maximize your satisfaction with One Minute Chiller, we’d recommend keeping your expectations realistic.
