About Panitrol XL

Panitrol XL is an all natural, clinically tested nutritional supplement that’s claimed to provide a wide range of benefits, including supporting joint mobility and flexibility, promoting a healthy immune response, providing antioxidants that can help fight against free radicals, and providing your joints with the building blocks they need to build cartilage and to function properly.

Regardless of where your pain is originating, Panitrol XL’s “advanced formula” is claimed to be effective for all your joints, including neck, shoulders, hips, ankles, elbows, wrists, hands, and knees.

In order to accomplish this, Panitrol XL is claimed to feature a never-before-seen combination of:

  • Glucosamine HCL
  • Boswellia
  • Hyaluronic Acid
  • Juniper
  • Goldenrod
  • Dandelion
  • Meadowsweet
  • Willow
  • MSM

Despite its efficacy, Panitrol XL is claimed to be completely safe, with no known side effects or drug interactions.

Look, you know that there’s a whole lot of living left to do, and you don’t want to be held back by muscle and joint pain, which only seems to get worse as you age. But can you realistically expect to experience all the benefits claimed by Panitrol XL? Consider the following:

Is Panitrol XL Clinically Proven?

Although Panitrol XL is claimed to be clinically tested, it’s important to remember that this doesn’t mean clinically proven.

To support this assertion, the Panitrol XL website references 2 clinical studies, both of which were related to glucosamine and MSM, and both of which found these ingredients to help ease the suffering of patients with chronic joint pain.

In addition, a third study described on the supplement’s website claims that patients suffering from chronic arthritis experienced total pain relief after using Panitrol XL for just 4 weeks. However, unlike the first 2 studies mentioned above, there were no direct citations provided on the supplement’s website.

Are Panitrol XL’s Ingredients Proven to Work?

According to WebMD, there is insufficient evidence showing that glucosamine, juniper, goldenrod, dandelion, or meadowsweet can provide any of the benefits claimed by Panitrol XL’s manufacturer.

On the other hand, Boswellia may hold some promise for treating inflammation-related conditions, such as arthritis, but there’s not enough evidence yet to say for sure. Hyaluronic acid has also been shown to be “possibly effective” for treating osteoarthritis, but only when injected (not in the oral form, as with Panitrol XL). Also, MSM has been shown to be possibly effective for “some symptoms of arthritis of the knee, such as pain and joint movement. But the changes seem to be small, and it might not reduce other symptoms such as stiffness.”

Finally, willow contains salicin, which acts very similarly to the pain reliever aspirin, so it may be effective for lessening joint-related pain. However, there is insufficient evidence showing that willow is any more effective than over the counter pain relievers.

Taken together, this means that Panitrol XL’s ingredients may provide you with some level of relief from painful joints, although almost certainly not as pronounced as the manufacturer makes it seem. On top of this, we’re not informed how much of each of these ingredients are contained in Panitrol XL, or whether this is enough to be effective.

Why Aren’t Customers Singing Panitrol XL’s Praises?

Panitrol didn’t have any online customer reviews available at the time of our research, although we did find many fake review websites posted by affiliates.

These affiliates, who earn commissions from each sale they refer, are often more concerned about making sales than they are about providing you with any kind of useable information. Because of this, affiliates will often resort to posting these fake review sites in order to make you think you’re reading a real customer review, when it’s actually just more marketing material.

However, we did learn that Panitrol XL is manufactured by Enzyme Labs based out of Wellington, FL. The company holds an A rating with the Better Business Bureau, with just 3 closed complaints (as of 2/17/15). Two of these referenced advertising/sales issues, while the other was related to billing/collections issues. No additional details were provided.

Panitrol XL Pricing & Refund Policy

Panitrol XL is only available through a 15-day trial, for which you’ll pay $9.95 to cover S&H. For this amount, you’ll receive a full 30-day supply of the supplement.

Then, on the 15th day of your trial, you’ll be billed $64.97 for the full price of the product. At this same time, you’ll also be enrolled in the supplement’s autoship program, which means you’ll continue receiving a 30-day supply of Panitrol XL once per month, and your credit card will be billed $64.97 each time.

Important note: We’ve talked many times about our opinion that free trials will never actually be “free,” and that autoship programs are intended to lock you into recurring shipments instead of provide you with any kind of convenience. As such, we generally recommend staying away from products sold through these methods.

During the first 60 days (from the date of purchase), if you’re dissatisfied with the results you achieved using Panitrol XL, the company claims to refund the full purchase price of the 2 bottles you received during this time, less S&H charges.

In order to request a refund or to cancel your autoship enrollment, you’ll need to contact customer service at 877-500-5529.

Will Panitrol XL Help Relieve Your Muscle & Joint Pain?

Chopping to the point: When it comes down to it, although some of Panitrol XL’s ingredients may help relieve your joint pain, the level of relief you experience will likely be far out of line with the supplement’s very high price.

With this in mind, if you’re looking to achieve the same level of relief at a much lower price than Panitrol XL, we might recommend visiting your local pharmacy and browsing their selection of glucosamine and MSM supplements.

    Without a doubt it works!

    • Huntington Beach, CA,

After retiring, all I wanted to do was get back to my beloved tennis and I did. Six months later, I began to have horrible pain in my right knee, I suffered for months with no sleep and very limited mobility but nothing I bought or tried on my own, worked to relieve it. I did a lot of research trying to find out what else I could do to relieve the pain.

Finally, I had to stop playing to limit the irritation that any weight on that knee caused. I started talking with anyone that I learned had the knee replaced surgery. You see, I already had the arthroscopic surgery 2 years prior and couldn't go down the road again. I finally followed the same path that everyone else has when they are told that the only way to get rid of the bone on bone pain was to have replacement surgery. However, each time I talked with someone about the results of their surgery, they complained that they still had pain and were still challenged with the full usage of the knee. That was not OK with me, as I was determined to get back to the game I had looked forward to playing since college and before a career took over!

Seven months after my first Orthopedic appointment, I finally gave in to the constant pain and scheduled my surgery. Six weeks prior to the date of that surgery, I read about Panitrol. Everything I was reading made sense, especially since I have a Masters Degree in Kinesiology; the study of muscles and their connecting joints. I had learned way back in my studies that if the body has constant inflammation, it can not heal itself nor is it able to perform a vital function of cell replacement; as the dead cells continually die off the body replaces them. It takes a year for your body to replace all its cells and this cycle continues to do so throughout your lifetime.

Doctors would tell me that because the knee was so damaged that cartilage would never grow back and I had no choice but to do replacement. But, I knew better, if I could keep the inflammation down, the body would do what it is designed to do. And, guess what, I canceled the surgery, heard my doctor say that I'd be back, and that was 5 years ago. I play competitive tennis 3 times a week, ride my bike, and walk 2 miles in my effort to stay active and healthy, as we all know, we're not healthy when we suffer with too much inflammation in our bodies. If I'd tried to manage my inflammation with over the counter anti-inflammatory products or prescriptive Ibuprofen to keep the inflammation away, I would be in the hospital with all kinds of intestinal and organ problems.

Now my husband takes Panitrol for his cribbing back pain and is back playing golf. There's nothing to loose and everything to gain - Try it!

This works for chronic back pain.

    • Tampa, FL,
    • Jul 17, 2015

I have been taking this product for two years & one day realized that my back had not hurt or had not gone into back spasms for at least a week. I had been hurting 24/7 with crippling pain. Cold didn't help, not did heat, nor did spinal injections quarterly since 2005. I continue to take Ultram 3 times a day and Skelaxin 800 mg twice a day with no relief. I would recommend that anyone with chronic back pain give Panitrol XL a try. I am a 78 year old widow who has had 5 back surgeries with insertion of curved rods and fused from T10 to S4 and have 2 compression fractures at T8 & T9. My left leg is totally numb making me fall more frequently.

    Panitrol XL facts

A lot of people push other products that don't work and may put down Panitrol XL but they are probably doing it for some reason besides what they claim. If you take Panitrol XL the way your told to by the company you will find that it works. If it doesn't then probably nothing will. I have used the product for years only because it works. It works with no side effects at all. I've tried all the other junk on the market and none of it helped at all. I have friends who all use the product and they have told me it's the only thing that works for them too. The only bad thing about it is that it cost about 50.00 more than it should.
