What Is Peruvian Brew?

By HighYa Research Team
Published on: Jun 8, 2017

Peruvian Brew is a powdered dietary supplement that uses an ancient blend of four herbs, one amino acid, and two fruits the manufacturer claims can put an end to erectile dysfunction. How so?

Mainly, by restoring penile sensitivity and naturally increasing blood flow. But the website tells us the supplement will also lengthen the look and feel of your penis, allow you to explode on demand, and deliver higher-volume orgasms. And all of this using a simple, all-natural recipe without resorting to potentially dangerous prescription drugs.

According to Josh Harding, Peruvian Brew’s creator, the supplement was formulated for men of all ages and “will work for you regardless of your age, race, or no matter how serious your condition may be.”

Problems in the bedroom suck—especially when it’s your penis that’s the problem. But can you reasonably expect the ingredients in Peruvian Brew to make a difference? Is it competing with other supplements? How can you choose?

If you spent a lot of time on the Peruvian Brew site watching its lengthy video, you’re probably looking for some quick answers. That’s what we’ll provide here, starting with some background details.

How Do Erections Work & What Can Cause Problems?

Physically, erections are all about blood flow. This is because there are two cylindrical chambers inside the penis called the corpora cavernosa, the arteries inside which relax to allow blood to engorge them, resulting in lengthening and stiffening.

However, erections are just as much mental and emotional processes as they are physical. After all, you need to be in the proper frame of mind to achieve one, and if you’re stressed, tired, depressed, or otherwise uncomfortable, it can have just as big an impact as some type of physical problem.

Together, this is why resolving erectile dysfunction can be such a complicated issue, and should involve working closely with your physician, who can provide options based on your specific diagnosis.

With these facts in mind, looking at authoritative sites like WebMD, the Mayo Clinic, and the National Institutes of Health’s MedicineNet, we didn’t encounter any support for Peruvian Brew’s claim that:

  • Penile sensitivity is the number one cause of ED,
  • Over 80% of the penile nerves are located in the foreskin, or
  • Your brain “signals your body to die” once your sex drive diminishes.

Unsupported claims aside, do the supplement’s ingredients have clinical support for addressing the root causes of erectile dysfunction?

Are the Ingredients Found in Peruvian Brew’s Recipe Effective for ED?

In short, there’s no way to tell, since—despite the hour-long promotional video on the supplement’s site—we’re not told about a single ingredient it contains.

All we’re told is that it involves four herbs that cost about 30 cents total, one amino acid that costs less than $10 per month, and two “specific fruits that serve as a kind of transport for the entire cocktail.”

Despite this lack of information in the Peruvian Brew video, several of the authoritative sites mentioned earlier (in addition to ones like the Natural Medicines Database and Examine.com) indicate that the following ingredients have some clinical support for addressing aspects of ED:

  • Panax Ginseng – Although the medical community isn’t quite sure how it works, taking 1,400 to 2,700 mg in two or three daily doses for up to 12 weeks has been shown to help ED.
  • DHEA – A hormone that could help address ED caused by low testosterone. No dosages are recommended specifically for ED.
  • L-Arginine – Once processed by the body, this amino acid can boost nitric oxide levels, a chemical that can widen vessels and improve circulation. 5 grams per day is recommended.
  • Yohimbe – If your ED is a result of depression meds, there is some clinical evidence this tree bark might help, although no dosages are recommended.
  • Rhodiola Rosea – May help address ED if caused by exhaustion. No dosages are recommended.

But Will Peruvian Brew Cause Any Side Effects?

In general, these sites reported that the most common side effect from these ingredients is mild, temporary digestive upset. Of course, this is assuming you experience anything at all.

However, while no specific causes are mentioned (such as taking too much, other medical issues, etc.), arginine can sometimes lower blood pressure, while yohimbe may result in anxiety and a rapid heartbeat.

Not to sound like a broken record, but since we don’t know any actual ingredients in Peruvian Brew or these dosages, we’re only providing this information as a reference point.

One thing we are told about is the supplement’s price, which is what we’ll discuss next.

How Much Does Edge Bioactives’ Peruvian Brew Powder Cost & Where to Buy?

Despite the fact that Josh tells us he’s not selling “herbs, potions, drugs, or supplements of any kind” on the website, this isn’t the case. As such, Peruvian Brew is priced as follows:

  • 1 Bottle (30-day supply) - $69
  • 3 Bottles - $177
  • 6 Bottles - $294

Regardless of the number bottles you choose, all orders will include five free bonus special reports:

  • Text Her Panties Off

All Peruvian Brew purchases come with a 60-day satisfaction guarantee, less S&H. In order to request one, you’ll need to call Edge Bioactives’ customer service department at 800-458-4634.

What else do we know about the manufacturer?

What Can We Learn From Reviews for the Company Behind Peruvian Brew?

Edge Bioactives is based out of Edgewater, New Jersey, and also manufactures the testosterone supplement Spartagen XT. In fact, at the time of our research, Spartagen remained the only supplement advertised on the company’s website.

Now, based on what we learned on the Peruvian Brew site, it appears to be an extension (or add-on, to be more precise) of the original Erect on Demand system. In other words, you’ll receive the information found in the EOD system along with your Peruvian Brew order.

Note: In our EOD article, we expressed many of the same concerns about an overall lack of information.

From a company perspective, Edge Bioactives wasn’t rated with the Better Business Bureau, although they did have three closed complaints as of 6/8/17, most of which referenced problems with Spartagen’s trial and recurring shipments. This was also a common complaint among nearly 50 reader reviews here on HighYa, in addition to no results.

Obviously, we’re only reporting the facts as learned from third-party websites—not indicating you’ll experience any of the same with Peruvian Brew.

Our Final Thoughts About the Peruvian Brew System

Whether it’s poor vision and hearing, a sprained muscle or a broken bone, hair loss, a fungal infection, or even just a sunburn, we’re all looking for quick fixes to some of the physical maladies we commonly experience.

But as we’ve outlined here based on data from sites like WebMD, the Mayo Clinic, and the Natural Medicines Database, erectile dysfunction is a complex issue that can involve various physical, mental, and emotional components. In other words, it’s rarely a quick fix.

Despite this, there are hundreds of erectile dysfunction and male enhancement supplements competing with Peruvian Brew for your hard-earned money, many of which are also promising quick fixes. Many also come with excessively high prices (in our opinion, as consumers ourselves) and sometimes no ingredients list, either.

How to make the right decision?

Considering everything we’ve discussed here, along with the fact that we’re not told about any of the ingredients contained in Peruvian Brew, we think you’ll likely get more value by making an appointment with your doctor, instead of placing your order.

My frustration is I have found Peruvian Brew works so well for me, and it does exactly what it claims, but I looked online to buy some more to no avail. I would be so grateful if someone would advise to where I can purchase again.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
