    Horrible customer service

While using my power pressure cooker, a fused burned. I called the company, and they require one to send in the cooker to be repaired and to include $24.99 for shipping product back. So $50 round trip to replace a $2 part. Their competitors sell the fuse needed for their products.

I will never purchase this brand again. I strongly advise against purchasing this brand.

    PPC780 Pressure Cooker XL

I have a PPC780 Pressure Cooker. I was cooking with it and it stopped heating up and the control board in the bottom is burned up. I am trying to buy a new control board, but no luck yet. I am waiting to hear back from the company.

  • Why did I wait so long

I hesitated for years on buying one of these. I always said it was too good to be true. When someone in the family bought one and began to talk about it on Facebook, I found that someone else in the family had one for years. They had nothing but high praise for it. End of hesitation. I ordered one the next day and have not one regret. You do have to acclimate yourself to how it operates, but once you do, you will love it.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    Poor communication/shipping, wrong/damaged product.

I ordered online. I ordered the 6-quart Pressure Cooker, an extra 6-quart Inner Pot, and was "awarded" the 9 and 1/2-inch copper pan.

I got one FedEx tracking number but didn't even receive an acknowledgment or invoice until we called and inquired why we only received one item (the "free" copper pan.) I had to request the invoice to get one. It came in three shipments. No packing slips were included with any of the shipments.

No foam/popcorn/paper packing of any kind with the copper pan or an extra 6-quart inner pot. The inner pot was simply placed in a box and naturally was oblong by the time it arrived.

I ordered a 6-quart cooker, but received an 8-quart. The reason was they were "out of the 6-quart and they upgraded to the 8-quart." What good is ordering an extra 6-quart inner pot (sounded like a good idea at the time) with an 8-quart cooker?

It is gonna cost $30 and all the hassle and time for this, including writing a stinkin' review. So much for the convenience of having it shipped to your home. While the product may work as advertised, this sort of service is unacceptable. If you really want one of these, do yourself a favor and get it from a retail outlet.

    Don't buy it!

They do not disclose that if you live above 2000 feet, you cannot use the canning feature. I am moving to a new home and will not be able to use that feature.

It came with two cookbooks. Almost every recipe is incomplete. You will need to use the internet and try to find a video that shows them making it. The recipes online have the same issues.

I tried to use it. I made dill pickles and got mush. I made strawberry jam and got syrup. Followed recipes exactly.

I have to pay for shipping to return it for a refund.

I believe the reviews are fake. No one mentions the incomplete recipes, ever. I am trying to get the word out there. Hitting all social media.

I dare you to publish this.

More time on customer satisfaction, less on infomercials

I received a 6-quart Power Pressure Cooker as a Christmas gift. I used the cooker two times and was very pleased with the finished results. HOWEVER, the third time I went to use the cooker, it was locked on the canning mode. I did the complete trouble shooting several times. I contacted customer support. They were less than accommodating.

Because this was a gift shipped from another state, I do not have the receipt. However, returning the faulty product to the manufacture seems proof of purchase enough. They spend mega dollars on infomercials, perhaps it would better serve them to concentrate on customer satisfaction. Please consider this when you go to purchase this item. If the manufacturer won't stand behind the product, be cautious.

    Not worth it

I received it as a Christmas gift, and when washed out, and the little metal pressure pin in the handle fell out in the sink and went down drain. I reordered the part and it came ok. At first, it worked great, but as time went by, the so-called nonstick interior failed miserably. Everything I made burnt to the bottom or scorched badly. I made ribs and half of them stuck and burnt black to the bottom. I am not even going to try soaking (again) but am boxing it up in the garbage. I wasted expensive ribs and had to make standbys for supper. Good thing I didn't have company over that night!

    Unhappy

I bought the 10-quart Pressure Cooker XL. Don't waste your money! I am unhappy and will be returning it.

Flaking cook pot and poor customer service.

The cook pot bottom interior began flaking with the first use. After a few more uses, it became unusable with a lot of flaked-off coating. The food burned in the "brown" mode setting and stuck to the bottom of the pot. The increased flaking could not be seen until the pot was soaked for careful washing. It did not clean very easily and never seemed to be fully clean.

Poor customer service. The service person just kept saying that the warranty was past the 60-day limit and that I would have to purchase a new pot at $29.99.

    Hunk of Junk

I bought this for my mother for Christmas 2 years ago, but she never used it and gave it to me two weeks ago. I have used it three times. It starts on whatever it wants to. The cancel button is just there for looks (actually, all the buttons are just there for looks). They worked the first time, and that's it. I had to cook on soups and stew both times after.

No, I certainly would not recommend this.

    Not happy

I am on my second Power Pressure Cooker XL. The first one, the screw in the lid fell out and went down the garbage disposal. I was unable to use it after it was damaged by the disposal. Also, the plastic seal on the lid smells like onions. I tried to clean it with numerous obvious solutions, but the smell would not come out. When it is stored in the box, the smell is pungent even dry.

I replaced it, used it once, and the plastic piece smells terrible again. And during washing, one of the screws came out again (this time I caught it and reattached it). I am not happy with those aspects, but I like to cook fast meals in the pot.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
