About PreOPS

Manufactured by Dark Ops Fitness, PreOPS is a pre-workout supplement that’s claimed to get your body ready to achieve maximum results, and to use scientifically developed and clinically proven ingredients. Unlike many other muscle growth supplements, PreOPS is claimed to contain no proprietary blends; only the following ingredients:

  • Creatine Monohydrate 5g
  • Betaine Anhydrous 2g
  • Carnosyn Beta-Alanine 1.5g
  • L-Taurine 1.5g
  • Aminoblast Instantized L-Leucine 1g
  • L-Isoleucine 500mg
  • L-Valine 500mg
  • Beet Root Extract 350mg
  • Caffeine Anhydrous 200mg
  • White Willow Bark Extract (std. min. 25% salicin)

PreOPS is claimed to be produced in a FDA approved and GMP‐compliant facility in the US, and to be tested for quality and purity by a third-party lab.

Ingredients aside, is PreOPS going to help you get ripped fast, so that you can flex your shirt in half and have all the ladies swooning for you? Consider the following:

The Effectiveness of PreOPS’s Ingredients

Based on the available clinical evidence, some of PreOPS’s ingredients could be effective for working out and/or athletic performance.

For example, creatine may help improve athletic performance, “however, there is still some uncertainty about exactly who can benefit from creatine and at what dose.” Carnosyn beta-alanine may also help improve physical performance, especially during high-intensity exercise and strength training,” and l-leucine shows some promise, although until more clinical studies have been conducted, “dietary supplemental leucine cannot be associated as the prime reason for muscular growth or optimal maintenance for the entire population.”

Finally, beetroot contains high levels of nitrates, which may help reduce blood pressure and improve blood flow throughout the body, resulting in improved athletic performance. L-isoleucine and l-valine are essential amino acids (known as branch chain amino acids, or BCAAs) that help provide energy to muscles, and also aid in recovery and repair.

However, although caffeine may help improve focus and provide a brief energy rush, it will not provide any lasting benefits and may cause a “crash” afterward, depending on how sensitive you are to stimulants.

On the other hand, there is insufficient clinical evidence showing that betaine, l-taurine, or white willow bark can provide any kind of athletic or physical performance benefits.

What Are Other Consumers Saying About PreOPS?

PreOPS is manufactured by Elite Provisions, LLC based out of Addison, TX, although neither Elite Provisions nor Dark Ops Fitness is listed with the Better Business Bureau. In fact, Dark Ops Fitness’s URL was just registered in July 2014, so there are no online reviews available for the company or for any of their supplements.

Is PreOPS Going to Get You Ripped in No Time Flat?

Chopping to the Point: While many of the ingredients contained in PreOPS show promise for helping to improve fitness in one way or another, it’s important to remember that, at best, they will only give you an edge. In other words, if you think you’re going to start taking PreOPS, hit the gym a couple times per week, and you’ll be shredded in a month, you’re bound to be disappointed.

On the other hand, if you’ve been working out and eating right for a while, and need a little extra boost to surpass your plateau at the gym, PreOPS may be worthwhile. However, only you will be able to say whether or not its high price is worthwhile.

I am 57. I went to a friend that owns local gym and had a VO2 test. I scored 29.6, that's just below average for my age. That score made me mad at myself. I never considered myself as average leave alone below average. I was put on a program by the owner of the gym. I started Pre-ops & Post-ops then. After 10 weeks of the versa climber, I lost 30 pounds and my score jumped to 48.4. That's a huge gain. That puts me above average score for a 36 year old. I feel great. Thanks for a great product. I don't remember ever taking any other product that worked like this. My goal is to score above 55.0 I'm sure I will get there with this product.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

You take Pre and the Post together. It'll be awesome.

The Pre always gets me jacked and the Post helps me get ready for the next one. I strongly urge you to give them a shot.
