About ProlaZyme

By HighYa Research Team
Published on: May 4, 2015

Manufactured by Ultralite Nutrition, ProlaZyme is a daily nutritional supplement that’s claimed to promote muscle development and overall health, while also increasing energy levels.

According to the company, ProlaZyme can help you achieve these benefits by including “more than 100 different kinds of nutrients … enzymes, vitamins, minerals, fatty acids, free amino acids, and antioxidants,” such as:

  • Papain, Chymopapain and Bromelain
  • Super Greens Power Blend
  • Hippophae Ramnoids (sea buckthorn)
  • Bacillus Probiotics

In order to begin using ProlaZyme, it’s recommended that you take 1 capsule per day, although the supplement is only intended for individuals 12 and older.

Because ProlaZyme is so new, you probably have lots of questions. So let’s find out whether or not it’s worth your hard-earned money.

What Kind of Health Benefits Can You Expect from ProlaZyme?

Papain and chymopapain are enzymes derived from papaya fruit that are listed as “possibly effective” for treating shingles and sore throat. Bromelain is another enzyme, but is derived from pineapple juice, and is listed as “possibly effective” for treating osteoarthritis. In addition, sea buckthorn is an herb containing high levels of vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, C, although there is insufficient clinical evidence showing it can provide any benefits.

Bacillus is a beneficial strain of bacteria known as a probiotic, which may help reduce digestive upset, strengthen immune system response, and more.

However, the ProlaZyme website doesn’t provide any additional information about the Super Greens Power Blend, so there’s no way to know what it contains. On top of this, there isn’t a nutritional label provided for ProlaZyme, so even for the ingredients we know about, there’s no way to know if it contains enough to be effective.

ProlaZyme Side Effects

WebMD claims that “papain can cause severe throat damage” in excessive doses, and bromelain can cause some to experience stomach and intestinal discomfort. In fact, “bromelain may also cause allergic reactions, especially in people who have other allergies. If you have allergies, be sure to check with your healthcare provider before taking bromelain.”

Again, without a complete ingredients list and their dosages, it’s difficult to say what other side effects could be associated with ProlaZyme, or whether it contains enough to cause any of the ones listed above, which is disconcerting.

What Are ProlaZyme’s Customers Saying?

ProlaZyme appears to be a very new supplement, and there weren’t any legitimate online customer reviews available at the time of our research.

In fact, ProlaZyme’s manufacturer, Ultralite Nutrition based out of Cliffside Park, NJ, also appears to be very new to the market, as their URL was recently registered in January 2015. The company is also not listed with the Better Business Bureau.

With this in mind, ProlaZyme appears to only be marketed through independent affiliates, and the fake review websites they’ve created. In general, these are intended to make you think you’re reading a real review, but are actually just more marketing hype from the company.

Who Is Ron Lively?

In each of the fake online reviews noted above, the supplement is referenced on more than one occasion as “Ron Lively’s ProlaZyme.” However, there isn’t any additional information explaining who Ron Lively is, or how he’s linked to ProlaZyme.

To help clarify, we also searched online for “Ron Lively Ultralite Nutrition” (thinking that he may be the owner of the company), although nothing additional turned up here, either.

Arbitration Has Consequences

Finally, keep in mind that by placing an order on the Ultralite Nutrition website, you’ll be submitting to an arbitration agreement. Ultimately, this means that if you were to experience damages from using ProlaZyme (or any of the company’s other supplements), you’d be severely limited in the legal actions you could take, including a trial by jury or becoming part of a class action lawsuit.

ProlaZyme Pricing & Refund Policy

ProlaZyme is available in 3 different packages:

  • 1 Bottle: $69
  • 3 Bottles: $177
  • 6 Bottles: $294

Note: It’s important to mention here that when we attempted to checkout on the Ultralite Nutrition website, we received a “This Connection is Untrusted” warning from our browser, due to an “invalid security certificate” that is self-signed and expired on April 4th.

Regardless of which package you choose, ProlaZyme comes with a 30-day refund policy. In order to request a refund, you’ll need to contact Ultralite Nutrition’s customer service at 855-578-4690.

Should You Trust ProlaZyme with Your Health?

Chopping to the point: Considering:

  • How new the supplement and manufacturer are,
  • The lack of a product label or complete ingredients list,
  • The lack of clinical evidence showing that the ingredients we do know about are effective, and
  • The lack of online customer reviews,

… it’s our opinion that ProlaZyme’s high price might be far out of line with any benefits you can expect to achieve from using it.

    Excellent product

    • Lakeland, FL,
    • Jul 28, 2015

My internist and I have been trying to lower my cholesterol for months. At my latest appointment my cholesterol was significantly lower. I really think it is from use of this product added to my medication. The only problem is the cost, it's way too high and that will eliminate how often I can purchase the product. Otherwise I recommend trying ProlaZyme.

    I'm very satisfied

    • Texas,

It took some time, but over all I'm very happy. I've been constipated my entire life and going potty couldn't be better, it's like all that poison is out of my body. It's just a relief to be able to get your toxins out of your body. I am trying one month first but after this I'm ordering more.

    Excellent so far.

    • Evansville IN,
    • Jun 10, 2015

I am on the end of my first bottle, I ordered 3. It has already helped with my constipation problem, I'm impressed, although I'm probably not going to be able to keep up because of the cost, and not very much info on the product. I would recommend for people who can afford it. It's nice to be cleaned out so to speak without laxatives. It definitely seems to be cleansing.

Gave me light at the end of the tunnel (and it allows refunds)

I freaking love this stuff. I don’t know about all of you guys, but I do not have the greatest eating habits, so my digestive system wasn’t exactly in great shape. Well, ever since I started using ProlaZyme, my body has just been feeling so much better. From top to bottom, there are just less issues with my health, fatigue, and just how my body feels. So much less discomfort, it’s incredible. My girlfriend tried this after she noticed how much better I was doing and now she’s using it every day too!

ProlaZyme may not be for everyone, but hey, I mean it was so cheap and they offer that 90 day return thing anyway. So, I definitely recommend giving it a try guys. You don’t know what you’re missing out on until you’ve tried it! It's by no means a cure at all, but it helps alleviate a lot of discomfort and helped give me that light at the end of the tunnel to be able to do more for my body after I saw how much better I can actually feel.

I have been very satisfied with the results from taking this product. Has given me energy and helped me overcome my chronic constipation. However, it is too pricey; l can not afford to reorder because I live on a limited income.
