Equally effective for both men and women, RestRX is an anti-snoring chinstrap that’s claimed to use “proven sleep science” to gently pull your jaw forward and keep it closed for better breathing and reduced snoring.

According to the manufacturer, RestRX is easy to use; simply place the specially designed elastic strap over your head and under your chin, and the dynamic, lightweight, and breathable comfort-flex fabric will keep you comfortable and snore-free all night long. And unlike some other anti-snoring chinstraps, RestRX doesn’t use straps or snaps that can cause uncomfortable pressure points.

Is your snoring negatively affecting your intimacy, family harmony, or your pursuit of a healthy lifestyle? If so, can RestRX solve all these issues and help you live a snore-free life? Consider the following:

Will RestRX Help Address Your Sleeping Issues?

Ultimately, whether or not RestRX (or any other anti-snoring chinstrap) will help reduce your snoring depends largely on what’s causing it. In other words, if you’re a mouth snorer, then moving your chin slightly forward and keeping your mouth closed has been shown to work for many patients. On the other hand, if you snore through your nose, it’s almost certain that a chinstrap won’t provide you with any relief.

According to StopSnoringRX though, “The strap is most effective if it stays in position throughout the night. If you tend to toss and turn in your sleep, how likely is it that the strap will stay in place? Think of this before you choose this device and find out about the different designs on offer.” In other words, if you move a lot throughout the night, chin straps have a tendency to move out of place, which might not be ideal.

However, according to the RestRX website, the anti-snoring chinstrap should not be considered a treatment for sleep apnea, and should not be used in lieu of a CPAP machine. In fact, if you suffer from sleep apnea and use a chinstrap like RestRX, it could pose a severe risk to your health.

Why Are You Looking at Me Funny?

Although anti-snoring chinstraps have been around for decades, one thing hasn’t changed; you won’t look very cool when wearing them.

Granted, helping you and your family get a better night’s sleep is the most important goal here, but you’ll definitely need to put vanity aside when wearing one.

Other Anti-Snoring Options

Because chinstraps are among some of the oldest anti-snoring products, you’ll find a wide variety of designs from dozens of manufacturers, some of which may be better suited to your needs. As such, we’d suggest typing “anti-snoring chinstrap” into your favorite search engine in order to get a good idea of what else is out there.

In addition to chinstraps, you’ll also find products such as mouthpieces, similar to ZQuiet and PureSleep, and even silicone inserts such as Breathe Active.

Clearly, you’ll want to speak with your physician about your snoring before making any purchases, as they should be able to make product recommendations based on your specific diagnosis. However, you can also get a head start by reading our in-depth article titled A Step-by-Step Guide to Finding an Anti-Snoring Product that Works.

Watch Out for That Pesky Arbitration

Finally, keep in mind that by placing an order on the RestRX website, you’ll be submitting to an arbitration agreement. If you sustain any damages from the use of the product, this means your legal rights will be severely limited, for both a trial by jury, as well as becoming part of a class action lawsuit.

What Are Customers Saying About RestRX’s Anti-Snoring Abilities?

RestRX was a very new product at the time of our research (URL registered March 2015) and didn’t have any online customer reviews available.

However, based on RestRX’s trademark information, the product is manufactured by Plymouth Direct based out of Montgomeryville, PA, and up-and-coming company within the “As Seen on TV” industry. The company also makes Mighty Putty Purple, as well as many others.

Plymouth Direct holds an F rating with the Better Business Bureau (as of 3/15/15) based on more than 140 closed complaints, 15 of which the company failed to respond to. Unfortunately, no complaint details were available at the time of our research.

With this said, it appears that RestRX is simply a rebranded version of the BeQuiet chin strap.

RestRX Pricing & Refund Policy

2 RestRXs are priced at $19.99 plus $9.95 S&H. You’ll also be able to upgrade to a Deluxe RestRX model at checkout, which is claimed to feature “more breathable and durable fabric and to come with a 1 year warranty.” This will cost you an additional $10 per strap (or $20 per order).

RestRX comes with a 30-day refund policy, which includes S&H charges. This is something that’s very unique among ASOTV products.

In order to request a refund, you’ll need to contact customer service at 800-340-3418.

Can RestRX Put an End to Your Snoring?

Chopping to the Point: As long as you’re a mouth snorer and your physician has given you the go-ahead, anti-snoring chinstraps liked RestRX can realistically help curb your snoring and promote peace within your household.

However, there are dozens of anti-snoring chinstraps available from just as many manufacturers, so be sure to do your research before settling on RestRX. And what better place to start than HighYa?
