What Is Sangeo?
Sangeo is an anti-aging collagen serum that claims to help you achieve visibly younger looking skin. The creators of the product bill it as an alternative to painful injections and traditional surgical procedures, claiming that the formula is able to brighten your skin's appearance, restore its firmness, and smooth out the look of fine lines and wrinkles.
They also state that while most anti-aging products use fragments of collagen (a substance we’ll explore more in a moment), Sangeo uses whole collagen molecules, delivering them directly to the skin.
Here at HighYa, we’ve reported on hundreds of anti-aging products over the years, and as a result, we’ve picked up on a few patterns worth mentioning. For instance, looking at Sangeo’s main website, we’ve previously written about multiple serums that use the exact same layout, such as L’etoile, Luminescent Serum, and Vlamorous.
What does this mean for you? We’ll need to take a close look at the various claims made by the manufacturer, break them down, and analyze them against scientific evidence from well-known, authoritative sources. In the following section, we’ll do just that.
A Scientific Breakdown Of Sangeo’s Claims
The makers of Sangeo state that our skin is made up of 75 percent water and collagen, which WebMD confirms is true. What is collagen? Simply put, it is the component of skin that gives it its physical structure, and is responsible for warding off wrinkles and other age-related skin issues like fine lines and spots.
Sangeo claims to deliver whole collagen molecules to the skin, as we reported above, but is this even possible?
According to an article by Dr. Michael Edmonds on Molecular Matters, collagen molecules are far too large to actually pass through the skin. Instead, the substance is merely slathered on top of the skin's outer layer, where any benefits will surely be temporary. This might include a slightly smoother appearance to your skin, which is an effect of the collagen filling in the top layer and smoothing out any fine lines or other blemishes.
So, it seems that a collagen skin cream could still be beneficial in some way, but what should you expect?
"The bottom line is that if these creams could accomplish the same thing as a medical procedure, they would be drugs and not cosmetics -- and that's what you have to keep in mind when deciding whether to try or buy," Marsha Gordon, MD, vice chairman of dermatology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City states in an article on WebMD.
Now that we have a clearer picture of the science behind our skin and the way these supplements claim to work, let’s take a look at Sangeo’s formula in order to determine just how effective it might be.
Sangeo Formula Ingredients
None of Sengeo’s ingredients are listed on the product’s website, so we reached out to customer support for more detail. Unfortunately, we were told that they did not have this information on hand, directing us back to the website instead.
Here at HighYa, we consider it a bit of a red flag for a manufacturer not to not post an ingredients list anywhere; especially regarding a product of this nature, as it can be difficult to evaluate its effectiveness without this information.
What we did find, however, was a clinical study featured at the bottom of the main page that centers around Argireline, an anti-aging peptide that Truth In Aging indicates works by temporarily disabling muscle movement and thereby reducing related lines. As a result, in the study, it was determined that the compound does have some potential for restoring skin structure and rejuvenating aging skin.
Of course, without an actual list of the raw ingredients within Sangeo, we can’t say with certainty that this substance is actually used in the product’s formula -- or if it is, that it matches the same concentrations used in the clinical study.
Sangeo Pricing & Return Policy
As of this writing, Sangeo was exclusively offered as part of a “free trial” program from the manufacturer. This means that you’ll only need to pay $4.95 for shipping to receive a month’s supply of the product. From the time you order, you’ll have 14 days to evaluate the serum (the terms listed on the website state that shipping takes 4-6 days, providing a total of 8-10 days to actually try it in your home).
Once this period is up, however, you’ll be charged the full amount of $98.41 for the initial supply, as well as entered into the company’s autoship program. From this point forward, you’ll be billed this amount each month, in exchange for another 30-day supply of Sangeo.
If you’d like to cancel this before it begins, the terms state that you can call customer support at 1-888-794-1291, or email them at firstname.lastname@example.org. As for returns, you can also call the number above to initiate within 30 days.
How to Buy an Anti-Aging Serum Like Sangeo
Anti-aging products have been extremely popular for many years now, and it isn’t hard to imagine why. Everyone seems to be chasing the elusive fountain of youth, and here at HighYa, we’ve discovered that these sorts of trial-based products are very common in the industry.
Because of this, we know that there are hundreds of products out there that have similar claims, pricing structures, and even websites to Sangeo. Instead of comparing these directly (which would be difficult considering the lack of ingredient information), we’ll offer a few bits of advice to use when thinking about purchasing an anti-aging solution.
Look for the following:
- Products with full, published ingredient lists, as well as those that back up said lists with relevant, factual information from clinical studies or other authoritative sources. Avoid incomplete (or missing) ingredients lists, as well as sensational claims without evidence to support them.
- Real world customer reviews on marketplaces like Amazon.com, where you can read firsthand accounts of other user’s experiences with the product in question before buying.
- Straightforward, fair pricing structures and return policies. On the other hand, be wary of free trials, autoship programs, and unclear or unwritten return and refund policies.

The Bottom Line: Our Thoughts On Sangeo
Bringing everything that we’ve learned into focus, we have a few lingering thoughts about Sangeo as a whole.
Firstly, the manufacturer makes lots of claims about how effective the serum is, and yet, a full ingredients list is not provided anywhere on their website. We also found out that customer service does not have access to this list, leaving us with little else to go on regarding Sangeo’s effectiveness.
Couple this information with the company’s mandatory autoship program and its expensive monthly fees, and we feel that any value you receive from purchasing Sangeo might be outweighed by the costs of doing so. Instead, to achieve the most value for the money (after all, we’re consumers too), we’d recommend talking with your doctor in order to find a solution that is tailored to your specific budgetary and lifestyle needs.

I started using this serum, but I don't remember how I got my first bottle. It was one ounce, which lasted a couple of months. I could really tell a difference in my skin. I loved it so much I ordered two more bottles from Amazon, which lasted about six months. I only used it in the morning before applying makeup. Now I'm completely out, and it is no longer available through Amazon, even though the link is still there. I only paid $8.00 each.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
