Sleeptastic claims to help you achieve a deep, restful night’s sleep by featuring a face-contouring design that eliminates 100% of light and blocks out ambient noise, regardless of whether you sleep on your back, side, or stomach. Because of this, Sleeptastic is claimed to be ideal for shift workers/day sleeping, migraines, travel, and more.
Sleeptastic is claimed to be made of a “luxurious” satin material that stays cool and comfortable all night long, and to feature cooling inserts that can reduce dark circles, bags, and puffiness while you sleep. Sleeptastic is claimed to be hypoallergenic and machine washable, and to easily adjust to any size or shape using the attached Velcro straps.
If you’ve been suffering from insomnia for any length of time, you’re desperate to put a stop to it, since lack of sleep can have a serious impact on your life and on your health. But will your money be well spent on Sleeptastic, or is it just a gimmick? Consider the following:
Do Sleep Masks Like Sleeptastic Work?
According to Sleepinguide.com, there are numerous factors that can lead to loss of sleep, including bed firmness and pillow type. And even if you have the perfect mattress and pillow, lifestyle factors such as smoking, alcohol consumption, prescription medications, and even eating habits, can negatively impact the quality of your sleep.
On the other hand, if you’re especially sensitive to light and/or noise, then sleep masks like Sleeptastic might be able to provide you with a better night’s sleep.
Because of these considerations, if you’re experiencing ongoing insomnia, you’ll definitely want to speak with your physician about recommendations based on your specific diagnosis.
Additional Sleep Aids You Might Consider
Lack of sleep is a widespread problem in today’s society, which means that there are hundreds of sleep products from which to choose that can appropriately address your doctor’s diagnosis.
These include bedding products such as Mattress Wedge and Chillow, supplements such as Lunar Sleep and Whole Body Herbal Sleep, and miscellaneous devices such as Breathe Active, ZQuiet, and PureSleep.
Other Sleep Mask Options
If you decide that a sleep mask might be your best option, while Sleeptastic’s design is claimed to be patented, a quick online search for “sleep masks with cool inserts” will reveal numerous results, many of which many be less expensive than Sleeptastic (especially considering the non-refundable S&H charges, which we’ll talk more about in a moment).
In fact, several of these options may be available at your local pharmacy, which can help you avoid online ordering hassles altogether.
Are Sleeptastic’s Customers Sleeping Better?
Sleeptastic was a very new product at the time of our research (URL registered February 2015), and didn’t have any online customer reviews available.
However, we learned that Sleeptastic is manufactured by OnTel products corporation, a fairly big player within the “As Seen on TV” industry, who makes many other popular ASOTV products, including Veggetti and Miracle Copper Socks.
Among more than 90 HighYa reader reviews for these products (as of 3/11/15), they hold an average rating of 4 stars, with common compliments citing that they work as advertised and ease of use. On the other hand, the most common complaints related to these products include poor quality and failure to work as advertised.
Granted, this doesn’t mean you can expect the same with Sleeptastic, although it’s worth keeping in mind nonetheless.
From a company perspective, OnTel holds an A- rating with the Better Business Bureau, despite having more than 220 closed complaints, many of which appear to reference the same concerns noted above.

With this in mind, if you’d like to a request a refund, you’ll need to contact customer service at 855-355-0415.
Will Sleeptastic Help You Sleep Better?
Chopping to the point: Although Sleeptastic’s design appears to block out light and noise at least reasonably well, whether or not it will help you sleep better depends largely on what’s causing your insomnia. And even if you find that light and sound exposure is contributing to your lack of sleep, whether or not Sleeptastic is the right sleep mask for you will depend on your personal preference.
Considering this, as well as the fact that there are numerous similar products available from other manufacturers, you might want to purchase a sleep mask from a local retailer first, so that you can avoid losing a good chunk of change on S&H charges if you’re dissatisfied.
