    It contains incompetent and terrible programming. It won't load, stops, and buffers. The company takes money out of your account when not authorized.

    Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    With few exception, most channels do not stream fluidly and are unwatchable. I've got the orange package with sports and I can never watch a game because the stream hiccups and stutters so bad I can't follow the game play. I have also tried watching HGTV, DIY, FOX, NBC and none of them stream fluidly. Every 5 seconds or so it studders even if not live but recorded. I know my connection is fine as other streaming services run and my connection is top notch. Until they get their bandwidth issues straightened out I will not be renewing my membership.

    Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

  • We've been thrilled with it…

    Overall Experience:

    We have had Sling for a few months now. We have been very happy with it. We love the live channels as well as the extra on demand episodes/movies. We have only had minor (stress) issues with buffering, usually on OUR end, not theirs. We appreciate the times they add extra channels for us to preview. A GREAT alternative to cable.

    Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

  • Sling is a ripoff!

    Overall Experience:

    I joined sling because they said they had the world series. Turned out they do NOT have the world series. They also never answer the chat and their online instruction to cancel my account does not work.

    Keep your money in your pocket because Sling TV has extremely poor picture quality, won't load half the time and when it does load, it's buffering or freezing every 5 minutes. Customer service is a joke! They all read from the same script, "it's your internet connection". No, it's their poorly developed product! Netflix, Hulu, Vudu and Amazon work just fine.

    Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    While the quality of TV we experienced was really bad (pauses, interruptions, entire shows starting over in the middle), it was "cheap" so we gave it a try for a year or so. But I just found out that when we tried to switch credit card accounts for our payments, they continued to charge BOTH for months, despite me having a valid cancellation number (which they admitted). They have refused to refund me for any double charges after my "cancellation," and I've had to take the matter up with my credit card company. We had trouble with them failing to switch accounts or to cancel a couple times before this, also. Would stay far away!

    Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
