Favorite self tanner

By Krystal , Australia

I'm surprised to read any negative reviews on this product. I ordered it from Australia and it beats any self tanners on the market here. It gives the perfect coffee toned tan, smells slightly orangey and pleasant upon application, and dries like lightening so I hop into bed and have no uncomfortable sticky feeling/stain on the sheets. Yes, it does take a night or two to build up, you have to be a bit patient, I found the results way worth it. It wears off nicely as it's such a hydrating formula, no patches. And animal testing free! I will be ordering more.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Wonderful product

By Linda , Springfield, Ohio

I started using this product and get lots of compliments. Yes, it did stain my palms but came off with a pumice stone. You can fill in missed spots with ease and become dark as you want. I love it.

Amazing Product

By Kayla Hunter , Houston, TX

I wonder about all the negative reviews on this site. I just started using Tan Physics and I could not be more pleased. It tans evenly and naturally. It would not be as popular as it is if it were not a good product.

Works when done right

By Shelley ,

Yep, after the initial application it dose NOT smell great. Smells like ALL self tanners do. I am not surprised. Yes, I needed to apply several applications over a few day before I got deeper results, but that was good. It gave time to go slowly and be careful with it. Scrubbed hands and fingers and nails with a fingernail brush to be sure no residue was left behind. With this product, as with ALL self tanners, you must be proactive and careful, it's NOT the fault of Tan Physics. It's the nature of self tanners across the board. I agree that adding lots of body lotion is needed because it dries out the skin but heck, lotion is a must ANYWAY. All this being said, I am ordering more. It works. Keeps me from having to bake in the sun and heat! Just be mindful, this is NOT a natural suntan and as such you have to be attentive to the suggestions while using it.

It's okay

By Martine Gorrill, Coeur d'Alene, ID, Verified Reviewer

It smells nice, feels good on the skin. The color fades very quickly if you don't use it everyday. I bought the extender, that's a waste of money. You do have to wash your hands right away after, I wash them with a sugar rub and I don't have any issues. If you use it more than three days in a row it does become more orange in color. I was hoping it would give you a nice brown base, but it really doesn't. And if you have freckles or dark spots it accentuates them. Wish it was more of a brown even color and it can streak if you don't apply it evenly.

Doesn't do what it says

By Michele H, Bealeton, VA, Verified Reviewer

I was sold on the "no streaks" and "even tan color" so I spent over $100 for the exfoliations step and the tanning step. I used this product ONCE. I did the exfoliation step then applied. I have streaks and blotches that others have mistaken for "healing bruises," asking me what happened. When I explained that I tried this product they understood. I am very disappointed.

Love it!

By Rhonda Sy, California, Verified Reviewer

I really like this product. I've been a Fake Bake locked-in user for years. I tried Tan Physics for the first time last night. Little smell, definitely not offensive like some have. I showered this morning and the color left after was very natural. No streaking and even color where applied. Next time I will be sure to apply lotion to the top of my feet, ankles, tops of hands and elbows before applying Tan Physics. It didn't stain my sheets nor leave any odor.

I've read so many negative reviews, I'm shocked I even ordered. But I am glad I did. It is on the pricey side compared to my favorite Fake Bake, but you don't need to apply much. I do like the fact you can reapply for a darker desired tan. My skin felt hydrated and looked as if I applied a moisturizer to my skin. I will be buying this product again. I do not understand all the negative reviews; it is very puzzling to me. I've been fake tanning for years and Tan Physics is at the top next to my favorite Fake Bake.

I thought it wasn't bad

By Anonymous ,

I personally don't really have any issues with this product other than you must wash your hands immediately after use or you're stuck with dark palms and weird half and half coloring through your fingers. I saw my tan within 3 hours from my first time. I have a nice glow and skin is soft.

I only bought the tanning bottles, 5 to be exact, pretty silly of me. Try to put less on the face and really work it in carefully.

Didn't work for us.

By Ginger Alflen, Grand Rapids, MI, Verified Reviewer

Tan Physics did not perform the way they hyped it up to be. We used it and did not shower for two days and when we did it washed off and left my skin with blotches.

It does not live up to its hype. Too bad because it smells real nice and dried fast but it did not moisturize your skin like they say it does/
