About ThermoHeat

Developed with over 27 years of experience, ThermoHeat claims to be a revolutionary thermogenic weight loss supplement that uses a proprietary blend of biological activators to naturally boost your metabolism, manage your appetite, and enhance your energy.

In fact, ThermoHeat claims to be so effective that the manufacturer calls it “the most advanced thermogenic ever built,” and claims that it’s the #1 maximum strength fat burner available on the market.

But marketing hype aside, can ThermoHeat help you lose weight? Will it provide a solid bang for your buck? Consider the following:

What is a Thermogenic?

A thermogenic is a substance that produces “heat, and the term is commonly applied to drugs which increase heat through metabolic stimulation.” In other words, thermogenics are claimed to increase the body’s core temperature, boost metabolism, and increase weight loss.

Are ThermoHeat’s Ingredients Effective for Weight Loss?

In short, probably not. Why?

Because there is insufficient clinical evidence showing that bitter orange, n-acetyl-tyrosine, caffeine, holy basil, Japanese sophora, velvet bean (cowhage), ox bile, ginger, cayenne pepper (capsaicin), wakame seaweed, forskholii (forskolin), naringin, hesperidin, tangerine peel, olive leaf, yohimbe, cassia, or turmeric can promote any kind of weight loss.

Granted, this doesn’t mean that these ingredients don’t have any benefits, just none of the ones claimed by ThermoHeat’s manufacturer.

Regardless, since all of ThermoHeat’s ingredients are part of a proprietary blend, we don’t know how much of each the supplement contains, or if this is enough to provide any benefits at all.

ThermoHeat Side Effects

The most common side effect related to ThermoHeat’s ingredients is digestive upset.

However, according to WebMD, bitter orange is “possibly unsafe when taken as a supplement for a medical purpose such as weight loss. Bitter orange, particularly when taken with stimulants such as caffeine or caffeine-containing herbs, increases the risk for high blood pressure, fainting, heart attack, stroke, and other severe side effects.”

In addition, it’s noted that “tyrosine seems to be safe when used in doses up to 150 mg/kg per day for up to 3 months,” and caffeine can cause insomnia, jitteriness, digestive upset, and more.

Finally, cowhage can lead to nausea and abdominal bloating, although some preparations can cause “headache, pounding heartbeat, and symptoms of psychosis including confusion, agitation, hallucinations, and delusions.”

Again, it’s important to note that we’re not informed how much of each ingredient ThermoHeat contains, or whether or not these levels are safe for regular use.

Other Thermogenic Supplements

Finally, despite the lack of clinical evidence showing that ingredients in thermogenic supplements can help you lose weight, there are a wide variety from which to choose, including ThermOxyn, Shredz Fat Burner, and more.

In fact, these types of supplements are so prevalent that you’ll almost certainly be able to find one at a pharmacy near you, which could help you save S&H charges and make the return process easier if you’re dissatisfied (more about this in the Pricing section).

Customer Feedback for ThermoHeat

Overall, most of the online “reviews” we encountered for ThermoHeat were fake ones created by affiliates that are deliberately crafted and designed to just cloud your judgement on the product with marketing hype. However, we did find a Bodybuilding.com forum thread for ThermoHeat, where the general consensus was that most of the ingredients it contains will be ineffective for weight loss.

From a company perspective, ThermoHeat is manufactured by Advanced Molecular Labs based out of Setauket, NY, although the company is not listed with the Better Business Bureau.

ThermoHeat Pricing & Refund Policy

Two bottles of ThermoHeat are priced at $39.95 plus $9.95 S&H. With your order, you’ll also receive a nutrition guide, exercise guide, and access to the Weight Loss Control Center.

There wasn’t any refund information, an address, phone number, or Terms & Conditions listed on the ThermoHeat website. However, we called the 800-931-5961 number listed on Advanced Molecular Labs’ main website, where we learned that ThermoHeat comes with a 60-day refund policy.

In order to qualify for a refund, you’ll need to send an email to mdstore@musculardevelopment.com and include your invoice number, product description, item number, quantity, date of purchase, and reason for return. After this information is received, you’ll be sent a return authorization number within 36 hours.

Can ThermoHeat Help You Lose Weight?

Considering that none of ThermoHeat’s ingredients have sufficient clinical evidence showing them to be effective for weight loss (and some might even be dangerous to your health), we’d strongly recommend speaking with your physician about more effective methods of losing weight before placing your ThermoHeat order.
