About Total Crunch

Claiming to offer a full-body workout that is capable of delivering amazing results in just 30 minutes a day, Total Crunch is an exercise-assisting device that makes plenty of bold claims about its effectiveness.

The product aims to provide a workout for your abs, back, glutes, biceps, triceps, pectorals, shoulders, hips and thighs all at once, thanks to its unique and versatile design. In the commercial shown on the website, the makers of Total Crunch claim that it uses “inverse symmetry,” which boils down to allowing it to work out your muscles simultaneously with each rep.

The product features two different foot positions that allow you to adjust how much resistance you have during use, and the top bar is designed to allow you to change your grip depending on which muscle group you’d like to focus on.

On the device’s website, we’re told that the Total Crunch will flatten your stomach and define your abs, all while burning away calories. In the next section, we’ll determine if this truly is all you need to get the body you’ve been searching for.

Is the Total Crunch Really the Only Thing You Need to Get Leaner & Stronger?

On the product’s website, we’re shown several different users who have claimed to lose 10 pounds in just 30 days from using the Total Crunch, but is this truly what you can expect if you decide to purchase one for yourself?

It’s no secret that working out is one of the fundamental pillars of achieving a well-sculpted body, but new research consistently shows that eating the right types of foods–and in the right quantities–goes hand-in-hand with a good workout regimen when it comes to keeping yourself in peak condition.

Sources like WebMD, Bodybuilding.com and the New York Times all agree that reducing the number of calories you intake to a number lower than what you burn during exercise is the true key to leaning out your body fat and allowing areas like the abdominal muscles to really be visible on your body.

To their credit, the makers of Total Crunch do provide users with a nutritional guide, though details are scarce as to what is actually included in this guide. We reached out to customer service to clarify, but they were unable to provide any additional insight into the contents of this guide.

So, what does this mean for you? Without using the device ourselves, we have no way to truly evaluate how effective it will be at working out your entire body, but we can say one thing with confidence; you’ll need more than just a solid workout machine to achieve a balanced, healthy physique.

Total Crunch Pricing & Return Policy

As of this writing, the Total Crunch was available exclusively on the manufacturer’s website. The product is available in either three monthly payments of $33.33 plus $29.99 for shipping and handling, or in one payment with free shipping, though no price was listed for this option.

We tried reaching out to the two different customer service numbers listed on the website, but neither call center had any information to share on the product, even after speaking with multiple agents from each.

We find this to be a bit of a red flag, because although the terms state that each order comes with a 60-day money-back guarantee, the customer service number listed did not claim any affiliation to the product when we called. Simply put, we don’t know how customers are supposed to process this refund if we weren’t even able to get basic pricing information from the service lines listed on the main website for the product.

Total Crunch vs. Other Workout Assistants

Here at HighYa, we’ve covered dozens of exercise machines over the years, and what we’ve learned during that time is that very few of these products are completely unique. Often, there will be multiple different options that have similar claims, functionalities, and overall designs, and this appears to be the case with Total Crunch as well.

For instance, a quick search on Amazon.com brings up several different products that appear to be extremely similar to the device at hand, including the Soozier Horse Riding Ab Machine and the Ejercitador Total de Fitness Abdo Crunch. In fact, a few products even have the words “Total Crunch” in their name, such as the Power Rider Total Crunch.

Despite this, at the time of our research, none of these products were listed by Inventel, the company who is associated with the product at hand.

Because so many different options are available today, if you’re looking to find an effective total-body workout machine, keep the following considerations in mind during your search:

  • Never underestimate the value of social proof. One of the best things about consumer-friendly marketplaces like Amazon.com is that they provide a central “hub” where customers can freely express their thoughts on a product’s effectiveness and overall quality. Unfortunately, we were unable to find any verifiable reviews for Total Crunch online.
  • Lookout for claims that a particular product is the “key” to a great physique. As we learned earlier, authority sources like WebMD, Bodybuilding.com and Healthline.com state that diet plays a pivotal role in this process, and without taking the proper steps in this area, you are likely to be left with results that aren’t up to your expectations going into the purchase.
  • Be sure to clearly understand the return policy. Especially when ordering a workout enhancing product online, it’s vitally important to have a firm grasp on the return policy associated with it, should you decide that it isn’t for you after trying it out.

The Bottom Line: Our Thoughts on Total Crunch

Will Total Crunch truly be “everything you need to get leaner & stronger”?

As we learned above, the reality of the situation doesn’t appear to be quite so simple. It takes more than just working out to get into peak physical condition and slim down your body fat enough to show off those visible muscles, and as far as getting this done the right way goes, it’s pretty straightforward; you should start with your diet.

Even though it won’t necessarily be the only thing you need to achieve your goals, the Total Crunch could still potentially be beneficial for you overall. The product seems to offer a wide variety of different workouts that target several muscle groups at the same time, and the instructional DVD included with the purchase might possibly provide some users with the structure they need to make a positive change in their lives.

Having said all of this, as consumers ourselves, the bottom line is that we’d have a difficult time justifying a purchase without knowing the details of the return policy–and who will be fulfilling it–not to mention the lack of information concerning the single payment option.

If you’re serious about making a change, you may want to consider scheduling a consultation with a personal trainer directly to discuss your needs. Doing so will hopefully lead you to an effective, well-rounded plan of action that can truly help you reach your long-term fitness goals.
