About Vitalita Derma
Using a revolutionary formula of natural ingredients that provide immediate lifting power, Vitalita Derma is an age-defying cream that can visibly reduce wrinkle depth, help maintain healthy, hydrated skin for a plump, firm feel, and cause you to look “years younger.”
Regardless if you’re a woman or a man, or whatever skin type you have, a simple twice-daily of application of Vitalita Derma has been shown to decrease wrinkle depth by 29% after 30 days, while increasing collagen IV synthesis by 81% after 15 days. And because it can provide a painless alternative to other treatments while helping you maintain a youthful appearance, the manufacturer calls Vitalita Derma “the fountain of youth in a bottle.”
Whether you were on a date or buying a car, have you ever had someone sweet-talk you? They’d say all the right things at all the right times? Well, is Vitalita Derma just a sweet-talker of an anti-aging product, or can you really expect it to live up to all these claims? We’ll tackle all of this—and more—in this review.
First, let’s look at the cream’s ingredients.
How Effective Are Vitalita Derma’s Ingredients for Anti-Aging?
Compared to most of the other online-only anti-aging products we’ve reviewed (more about this in a second), Vitalita Derma’s manufacturer provided a label on their website, which included the following ingredients (only active ingredients are hyperlinked):
Deionized Water, Jojoba Oil, Cyclomethicone, Dimethicone Crosspolymer-3, Polyacrylamide, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Laureth-7, Squalane (Plant Derived), Matrixyl 3000 (Glycerin, Water, Butylene Glycol, Carbomer, Polysorbate 20, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-7), Co-Q10, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Vitamin F, Hyaluronic Acid, Lycium Barbarum (Goji), Coffea Arabica (Coffee Fruit Berry), Euterpe Oleracea (Acai), Morinda Citrifolia (Noni), Punica Granatum (Pomegranate), Camelia Sinensis (Green Tea), Garcinia Mangostana (Mangosteen), Xanthan Gum, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, Phenoxyethanol, Butylene Glycol, Caprylyl Glycol, Potassium Sorbate, Hexylene Glycol
Matrixyl 3000 is a proprietary ingredient made up of two different peptides, palmitoyl-tripeptide and palmitoyl-oligopeptide, which are supposed to “mimic the appearance of … broken down collagen.” As a result, your body will naturally begin producing more collagen and elastin, improve skin firmness and elasticity, and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. While there is some promising clinical research related to Matrixyl 3000, it is far from “proven” to provide any anti-aging benefits.
Hyaluronic acid is a mainstay among many cosmetics and skincare products, as one molecule can hold up to 1,000X its weight it water, helping to keep moisture close to your skin. Also, caffeine in Vitalita’s coffee fruit berry might help temporarily firm skin.
Finally, many of the essential vitamins and antioxidants in some of the cream’s ingredients might help boost skin health, but there isn’t enough clinical evidence showing them to provide any direct anti-aging benefits.
Outside of these, however, most of Vitalita’s other ingredients act as conditioning agents, solvents, viscosity agents, surfactants, emulsifiers, and more. And while these could be important to its overall formulation, other than perhaps providing moisturization, they won’t provide any anti-aging benefits, either.
Alright, so the realistic effects of Vitalita Derma’s ingredients might not be quite as revolutionary as the manufacturer makes it seem. But if it’s priced low enough, it might be worth giving a shot, right?
Our Concerns About Vitalita Derma’s Trial
The only way to obtain Vitalita Derma is by signing up for the company’s trial, where you’ll pay £2.99 (about $4.25) S&H to receive a 30-day supply.
Although this might sound like a good idea, if you read through the fine print or the Terms & Conditions, you’ll quickly learn that you’ll pay a whopping $87.41 after your trial has ended. Not only this, but the company will keep sending you a new bottle once every 30 days—and of course—will charge your card $87.41 each time.
Outside of the trial, Vitalita Derma comes with a 30-day refund policy, less S&H charges.
In order to cancel your trial, cancel your autoship enrollment, or request a refund, you’ll need to call customer service at 888-447-6613 or 888-960-2123.
Pro tip: Not only do you have to cancel within 14 days, but you also have to ship the product back to the company within the same timeframe. Ultimately, this will greatly limit the amount of time you have to try Vitalita Derma before needing to cancel and avoid being charged full price.
Let’s continue talking about these trials in the next section.
Customer Feedback for Products Like Vitalita Derma
After reviewing more than 200 anti-aging and skincare products, writing dozens of related articles, and reading thousands of reviews from consumers just like you, we think we have a pretty good handle on what’s happening within the industry. What’s one of the biggest things we’ve noticed? That nearly all of the products like Vitalita Derma—which almost always are sold through “free” trials—come with ultra-low customer reviews.
Why? Whether we’re talking about popular options like Cellumis and Encante Cream, or more recent additions like Celleral and Neu Glow Pro, most customers complained that they didn’t work (or even caused an allergic reaction), they were priced way too high, and when they called customer service, many claimed to have been met with rude, unhelpful personnel.
Here’s our opinion: If you compare the products above, you’ll find that they (and dozens of other ones just like it) all make the same claims; many even use the exact same website templates. Based on our experience, we think most of these are being sold by the same handful of companies. Once too much negative customer feedback accumulates, they simply take one website down, re-label their existing product under a new name, create a new website, and they’re back in business.
In the meantime, their customer service staff is trained to make canceling trials, ending autoship programs, and requesting refunds an exercise in futility. In other words, they want you to give up so they can hang on to more of your hard-earned money.
Does this necessarily mean you shouldn’t buy Vitalita Derma?
The Bottom Line About Vitalita Derma
Compared to a lot of the other online-only anti-aging products we’ve reviewed, we will say this about Vitalita Derma: at least the manufacturer gives customers a list of ingredients, and the company (Spanks Nutra Ltd. based out of Hollywood, FL) has a fairly decent online presence. On top of this, according to their BBB reviews, it looks like they’ve at least attempted to provide some level of customer service in the past.
However, as we learned above, it appears that most of these ingredients won’t do much for reducing lines and wrinkles, the cream is only available through a trial (which we almost always recommend avoiding), and the price is extremely high. Taken together, we think your money might be better spent talking with your dermatologist instead of ordering Vitalita Derma.
