About Window Vac
Manufactured by Tristar Products, Window Vac is an “As Seen on TV” dual stage cleaning system that claims to be the fastest and easiest way to clean your windows, without leaving streaks or spots. By combining a professional-grade pure rubber pad that cleans at the window level and a suction motor that removes your choice of cleaning solution, the Window Vac is claimed to provide “one wipe and worry-free” cleaning.
When it comes to cleaning, it’s no surprise that everyone is looking for ways of making the process faster, easier, and more efficient, which is exactly what Window Vac claims to do. But after everything’s said and done, can you reasonably expect the Window Vac to perform as well as it claims, or is it just a bunch of marketing hype?
Understanding How Window Vac Works
If you hate the way dirty windows make your home look but are sick and tired of cleaning them using traditional methods, the Window Vac claims to be “a vacuum that cleans your windows” in a single pass, without leaving unsightly streaks or spots. In fact, the manufacturer claims that you simply spray, Window Vac, and walk away.
At the core of the Window Vac is its dual stage complete cleaning system, which is claimed to first use a professional grade rubber pad that creates a cleaning suction seal right against the glass. As it moves, dirt and debris are removed right down to the glass level. Then, the powerful on-board water vacuum instantly suctions away cleaning solution and dirt. Once you’re done, you simply empty the Window Vac’s attached reservoir, keeping your hands clean throughout the process.
According to the manufacturer, the Window Vac weighs less than 1.5 pounds, making it lightweight and easy to hold, and its cordless design means that it’s useful all around your home, including mirrors, glass doors, and even outdoor windows.
Window Vac Pricing & Refund Policy
Window Vac is priced at 2 payments of $19.95 or a single payment of $39.90, plus free S&H.
Window Vac comes with a 60-day refund policy, as well as a 60-day warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. In order to initiate the refund or warranty claim process, you’ll need to contact customer service at 973-287-5153 (see more about this in the final section).
What Do Other Consumers Have to Say About Window Vac?
Although Window Vac’s URL has been registered since May 2014, there are currently no online customer reviews that can be used to gauge overall satisfaction levels.
With this said, Window Vac is manufactured by TriStar Products based out of Fairfield, NJ, who also manufactures other popular “As Seen on TV” products such as ClearTV, Flex-Able Hose, and Perfecter Fusion Styler. Based on several hundred HighYa consumer reviews for these products, they hold average ratings of less than 2 stars, with some of the most common complaints referencing poor quality products that don’t work as advertised and unhelpful customer service (difficulty processing refunds, numerous upsells during calls, etc.). While these concerns may not necessarily apply to Window Vac, it’s something to keep in mind nonetheless.
Can Window Vac Help You Clean Windows without Spots or Streaks?
Admittedly, the Window Vac seems like an ideal method of cleaning windows and glass around your house, but can you really expect it to work as well as it claims? Perhaps, but consider the following before placing your order:
“As Seen on TV” Product
As we mentioned above, Window Vac is an “As Seen on TV” (ASOTV) product, which typically have lower customer satisfaction ratings than similar mainstream products, which is primarily due to complaints of not performing as well as advertised, and for breaking soon after using.
With this in mind, it’s important to note that nearly identical products to the Window Vac, but which cost twice as much, have mixed satisfaction ratings, primarily due to their tendency to leave streaks. Because of this, these customers often found themselves still using traditional cleaning methods in order to obtain a satisfactory outcome.
Although the Window Vac is priced about 50% less than the competition, it’s “As Seen on TV” status means that it may not perform as well as advertised, and you may experience difficulty processing a return if you’re dissatisfied.

Unhappy with delivery time
I ordered the Window Vac from a TV ad on September 8. Today is October 29 and still have not received it.
Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friendView all 2 commentsHide comments
Dec 10, 2014
It is now Dec.10 and still no Window Vac. Got a card after my first review posted that it was backordered and if I still want it, then do nothing. Now a week ago I received another card stating that if I still want the product, then I must return the card within a certain amount of time otherwise my order would be canceled. I returned the card the next day. If I ever receive it, I will post the results on how it works.
