About Wolfgang Puck Pressure Oven

The Wolfgang Puck Pressure Oven claims to help you cook “easier, flavor-infused meals” up to 70% faster than a conventional oven. In addition, the company claims that the oven’s “moisture-sealed and pressurized” technology ensures that it’s “virtually impossible to dry out or ruin your food.”

The Wolfgang Puck Pressure Oven is manufactured by KitchenTek, LLC, based out of Pueblo, CO. Online reviews appear to be primarily negative, with the most common complaints citing cheap construction and poor customer support.

How the Wolfgang Puck Pressure Oven Works

According to the manufacturer, the Wolfgang Puck Pressure Oven underwent 2 ½ years of development prior to being released, in order to perfectly combine all the benefits associated with both a pressure cooker and a conventional oven.

Because of this, the company claims that the Wolfgang Puck Pressure Oven’s “Flavor Infusion Technology” allows you to “make the most moist, flavorful meals you’ve ever had,” and that it will be “the only oven you’ll ever need.”

The oven’s three-position rack (bottom, middle, and broil) is claimed to provide all the same adjustability as your conventional oven, but allows you to “toast, roast, bake, broil, and re-heat food in a fraction of the time.” In fact, despite its relatively small size, the device can accommodate up to a 14lb turkey or a 12in pizza.

When you’re ready to use your Wolfgang Puck Pressure Oven, you can choose between two different modes:

  • Pressure Mode – Cooks your food up to 70% faster, while using low pressure to lock in heat, moisture, and flavor.
  • Standard Mode – Works like a conventional oven, while “using a fraction of the energy.”

Whichever mode you choose, the Wolfgang Puck Pressure Oven can be used in five easy steps:

  1. Turn the oven on, and allow it to quickly preheat (indicated by a green “ready light.”
  2. Add food a lower the sealing lever.
  3. Seal the vent release valve.
  4. Set the timer.
  5. After your food has cooked, open the vent release valve to release any built-up steam.
  6. Enjoy your meal.

When cooking with the Wolfgang Puck Pressure Oven, you can use your normal pots, pans, and bakeware. On top of this, other than the unit itself, all parts are dishwasher safe.

Keep in mind that when new, you’ll need to run the oven through one full cycle prior to placing food inside, which will burn off any “non-toxic protective oils.” Also, unlike a traditional oven, you’ll need to release pressure inside the unit prior to opening the front door. Failing to do this could result in severe steam burns.

  • Allows you to cook food up to 70% faster, while sealing in moisture and flavor.

  • 60-day money back guarantee.

  • Most common customer complaints cite cheap construction and poor customer support.

The Bottom Line

The majority of customer reviews that we read are from independent bloggers who received a free Wolfgang Puck Pressure Oven in exchange for a review.

When looking at non-blog related reviews, most appear to be primarily negative, with some of the most common complaints citing cheap construction and poor customer support.

This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise though, as high-quality conventional pressure cookers can cost as much as $400.

When you factor in the fact that the Wolfgang Puck Pressure Oven also combines the features of a regular oven for just under $300 (Standard Model), the old adage “you get what you pay for” seems relevant.

With this in mind, we did find one very detailed review that stated the same, which was highly complimentary of the oven.

Also, it’s important to note that only poultry cooks 70% faster than a conventional oven. According to the website, beef and pork cook 50% faster, and “casseroles, vegetables and baked goods cook 25% faster.”

All in all, the Wolfgang Puck Pressure Oven is a unique device that has very little competition. As such, for people who are looking to save time when cooking, the product might be a viable option.

However, keep in mind that it may not be a high-quality appliance, and you may experience difficulty processing a refund or an exchange through customer service.

I have owned my pressure oven three months and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I love the ease of using it and the food always comes out extra tasty and moist! I am a single Woman on the go, so it is perfect for me to be able to bake and roast quickly!

I don't know about anybody else's experience but I do know that since I have got this oven, it has been performing flawlessly. I purchased the 1 without rotisserie because I figured that something would eventually go wrong. Actually, my plan was to return it after a short time because I figured it probably wouldn't work. Watch, now all I can say is good things about it. I will keep it. I have cooked brownies, roasts, roasted vegetables, pies, and reheated stale baguette French bread in less than five minutes to perfection. I have made casseroles French fries. It could use some skid proof legs since it does slide around the counter when you try to open the door if it's not against the back of the counter.

This pressure oven sure does what Wolfgang Puck says! The chicken, beef and ribs are crispy outside and juicy inside. I would tell anyone looking to buy something that works that this will be the one and only product to buy!

  • Handy dandy oven

The oven was a birthday present, six months or so ago.

It has cooked many dinners, baked cakes, muffins, corn bread, homemade bread, focaccia. Whatever I could put in there it has cooked to perfection, for the most part. A cake came out uneven, the rack was not tight. Only gripe is, some areas are hard to clean and I wish there were more recipes available.

My Wolfgang Puck Pressure Oven is a little over one year old and has worked flawlessly since day one. Baking time cut in half. It's low pressure so safety is built in to the oven. Highly recommend.

I borrowed my mom's because I wasn't sure about how good it actually was while watching it on QVC. I LOVE THIS THING. I've cooked Tri-tip roast, cake, cinnamon rolls (super moist) and a bunch of other stuff. You don't have to preheat (huge bonus) and it cooks up to 1/2 the time. The foods retain all of their moisture. I'm a believer. I literally stopped using my big oven.

Only one con so far and that is it's a bit small to fit a regular size roast pan or standard 9x13 pan.

We absolutely love this oven. Please note that I've only used it once after we purchased it 3-4 days ago. I'm primarily a griller while my wife tends to do all of the inside cooking. I hesitated to use it initially until I started reading through some of the recipes. One that caught my eye was the Barbecue ribs. I've cooked ribs many times with subpar results on my grill after many hours of preparation and cooking. I can say honestly these were the best ribs I've ever tasted. It was easy and we made them inside the house in under 90 minutes. Tonight we're making fish, can't wait to get started.

  • Pressure oven is efficient

I have a larger oven that uses a lot of power for holiday baking. The Puck pressure oven (no rotisserie, wouldn't use it anyway) bakes and roasts well at pressure daily for 2-4.

Thermostat seems accurate. Oven holds heat better than an inexpensive convection/ toaster oven. I use it in standard mode for roast vegies, pizza, casseroles.

Make sure your crockery can take high heat and fits: it does NOT accept my 13x9 glass baker dish with handles.

Pressure devise on top is counterintuitive if you use a pressure cooker: it is supposed to sit loose, pointed at the arrow, but it works. Turn off the oven and use a utensil to rotate the pressure devise away from you and it will vent without incident.

I did not get a free oven for review. I am getting my money's worth.

I have been very happy with how versatile the oven is. What a surprise when I prepared a Prime Rib roast. It was perfect. Yeast rolls, cakes, and Thanksgiving Dinner - always perfect.

  • Absolutely Wonderful!

I am really enjoying my new oven. I bought this and received my new oven right before Thanksgiving. What a time saver, as well as moist juicy turkey and ham. This saved time and space as well as not turning my kitchen into a sauna as my big oven does.

I've read others' statement about poor construction. I don't know, I guess I'm lucky because my oven performs just as advertised. I definitely got my money's worth. I love the timer with the shut-off.

Everything I cook in this comes out wonderful. It did take some trial and error with some of my recipes, but now it's a breeze.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

  • I like my WP pressure oven, I own 2

I love my Wolfgang pressure oven.

I really liked the roasted vegetables how they came out and my roasted sausage and vegetables, roasted chicken and my roasted rack of pork.

I come home very late and this helps me out often times.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
