What Is Wonder Arms?

Using elastic bands to create varying levels of resistance, Wonder Arms’ unique dynamic resistance movement promises to simultaneously work out your triceps, biceps, shoulders, chest, and back, while burning calories.

The manufacturer claims that Wonder Arms’ padded arms rests can help make your workouts more comfortable, while the smooth gliding motion comfortably strengthens and tones, without joint strain.

And when you’re finished, we’re told that Wonder Arms’ compact design folds for easy storage or travel.

When it comes down to it, though, is Wonder Arms really any kind of breakthrough fitness sensation? Is its dynamic resistance necessarily unique? Will it deliver “amazing, instant” results, regardless of your fitness level?

You have a lot of questions before handing over your money for Wonder Arms, and we’ll help you uncover some answers here.

How Much Does Wonder Arms Cost?

Wonder Arms is priced at $19.99 plus $9.99 S&H, along with a $1 web service fee. With your order, you’ll receive the following bonuses:

  • 3 power resistance bands, suitable for all fitness levels
  • Workout and Nutrition guides

OnTel Products Corporation provides a 60-day money back guarantee on all Wonder Arms purchases, less S&H charges. This mean that by the time you ship the device back to the manufacturer, you could lose almost as much in S&H charges as you’ll receive as a refund.

OnTel’s customer support can be reached at 844-662-7214.

What kinds of results can you realistically expect to achieve for this price? That’s exactly what we’ll help you determine.

The Basics of Getting Fit

If you want to reach your fitness goals, you’ll need to do two things: 1) increase muscle size and/or strength and 2) decrease body fat. Let’s take a closer look at each of these.

How Does the Body Increase Muscle Strength & Mass?

Lifting weights delivers resistance to muscles. With sufficient resistance, microscopic tears are created in the muscle’s fibers, which are then repaired by the body.

Every time this occurs, these collective repairs strengthen the muscle and increase its size; a state known as hypertrophy.

Now, the problem is that, even if you work out regularly and get your muscles shredded, you won’t see them if they’re covered in a layer of fat. Which brings us to the second part of the equation.

Fat Cells Shrink, But Don’t Disappear

Inside your body are specialized cells called adipocytes. When you consume more calories than your body burns as energy (a process known as metabolism)—especially calories derived from fat and sugar—these adipocytes fill with fat.

If you experience this calorie surplus over a long enough period, these fat cells will create deposits around the body, such as the thighs and buttocks for women and the midsection for men.

On the flip side, to shrink these cells, you’ll need to eat fewer calories than your body metabolizes, which will cause it to use the stored energy found in your adipocytes.

The problem, however, is that these fat cells never go away without an invasive procedure like liposuction, so they can easily refill. This is why we tend to regain weight quickly after working so hard to lose it.

With this in mind, will Wonder Arms help you increase muscle size and strength or reduce fat?

How Does Wonder Arms’ Dynamic Resistance Work?

When using resistance to build muscle, there are two types of exercises: isolation, which work out only one muscle group, and compound, which simultaneously work out multiple muscle groups.

In general, machines ensure you’re performing exercises correctly and can help reduce injuries, but they also don’t activate any stabilizing muscles (these stabilize one joint while another joint moves).

How does this relate to Wonder Arms?

Wonder Arms’ “dynamic resistance movement” is simply a fancy way of stating that its bands deliver varying levels of resistance, depending on the one you choose. It’s not much more than marketing.

And while we didn’t test Wonder Arms firsthand, the stabilization it provides (as a machine) seems like it might reduce wear and tear on your joints, but—despite the manufacturer’s claims otherwise—it doesn’t seem likely that it will work out your triceps, biceps, shoulders, chest, and back equally and at the same time.

In fact, if you re-watch the commercial, you’ll notice that the vast majority of users indicate that Wonder Arms primarily worked their triceps.

So yes, if you’re looking to minimize the appearance of your “batwings,” Wonder Arms seems like it could help (with regular use and also adhering to a sensible diet, of course).

But if you’re looking for full-body results, then you’ll almost certainly want to keep looking.

How Does Wonder Arms Compare to Other Arm Training Equipment?

Looking for something exactly like Wonder Arms, including the three different resistance bands? You’re not likely to find it.

But if you search online for terms like “arm exerciser,” “at-home arm machines,” and “arm trainers,” you will find devices in all shapes, sizes, and configurations and at a variety of price points.

Which one of these will work best for you? There’s no way to know since the answer to this question largely depends on personal factors like your current fitness level, the results you’re looking to achieve, your budget, any physical limitations, and much more.

Will Wonder Arms Help You Get Fit?

Being fit isn’t determined by just one thing. For example, if my arms are ripped but I have saddlebags, does this mean I’m fit? What about if my shoulders are superb, but my muffin top covers my belt?

The point? Even if Wonder Arms’ dynamic resistance movement delivered on its promises, just because your arms are in shape, doesn’t necessarily mean that a) the rest of you will look great, or b) that you’ll be considered “fit.”

Whether from OnTel or another manufacturer within the industry, though, it’s been our experience that customer reviews for ASOTV products often claim they didn’t work as advertised or featured less-than-stellar quality.

Does this mean you’ll experience the same with Wonder Arms? Without any online reviews yet, there’s no way to know. But if you give Wonder Arms a try and aren’t satisfied (for whatever reason), you could lose half your refund in S&H charges.

Bottom line? If you haven’t worked out in years, need something quick and easy to help you regain your fitness momentum, and are primarily focused on strengthening and toning your triceps, Wonder Arms just might deliver.

Outside of this, though, it seems you might want to speak with your doctor or a fitness professional about other tools that could provide a greater overall fitness value for your money.

I work out in a gym four days a week. Since being seven months pregnant, I’ve had to find other means of accomplishing my goals and truth is (honest to God), this is a great product. I am a real person with real weight loss struggles and this allows me to continue my regimen without stepping foot into a gym and overdoing it. I’ve bought MANY As Seen On TV products, and this one has by far been the best. I’ve bought the ab surfboard thing and no, not as simple and truly beneficial as this is.

The only thing I would ask is for replacement bands and maybe one that goes to 50lbs. Otherwise, this is truly pure genius.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    Awesome

I purchased it at Bonton, and it does exactly what I need it to do. Resistance just like when I was doing Pilates class. It’s small, portable and in good condition. I’m a working mom and don't have a lot of time to work out. This is a great product. I’m not sure what some of the users expected. I’m disappointed about the reviews. I’m up to the yellow band, and I feel the burn. I need it for triceps that are sagging due to age and lack of a complete workout. So this helps me avoid the time at the gym. Take regular walks and do your Wonder Arms after work. It works great for me.

    Where to buy extra bands

Great system, but the bands break easily, and I am wondering where to buy extra bands as I am having difficulty finding the bands for the Wonder Arms system online.

Thank you and waiting on a reply.

    Don't bother

Although the product idea is really good, the quality and manufacturing are horrible. I was able to get about one set in before the plastic joint broke. The company is claiming that I did not order it through them (which may be true, and I am still investigating that claim), but none the less, if this were to be made of something more durable with actual metal joints, I would be willing to pay double what they sell for. They also claim they do not sell replacement resistance bands (which you could possibly work around but not a great feature).

The product itself is fair. Weights work just as good if not better. What is upsetting is the extra charges. I ordered two Wonder Arms, accidentally ordered two double packs. After shipping and extra charges, my credit card was charged for over $85.00! The website also does not let you review the total charges prior to ordering. If I was able to, I would have seen it was too much and would have fixed my order or decided not to purchase.

I called to return the two extra I received and was told I will be refunded $28.00. So don't believe the "low price." Two Wonder Arms + shipping costs $58.00! Fraud!

Band broke and have no way to purchase any

I love it but have only had mine for a month. It gave me two of the same bands and then yesterday mine broke and as far as I can tell you cannot order any, you just have to buy another Wonder Arms.

Wonder Arms As Seen on TV review

I know there are reviews that say this product doesn't give you much of a workout, BUT, the people saying this CAN'T be doing it correctly. You need to make your ARMS do most of the work, not your hands. If they would focus on their arms doing most of the work, they would HAVE to feel it burn, and would get results!

I LOVE Wonder Arms, and you don't need to order the bands about the ones that come with the product. Those two bands are a waste of $10 as far as I'm concerned. In fact, I'm afraid to use them, for fear of breaking the exercise gadget. The bands that come with it are enough to give you a good workout!

OMG! I ordered this thing and was told it would arrive between August 4th and August 8th. As of today's date, it still has not arrived! We needed it by the 10th of August! It was going to be a gift. These thieves did take our money immediately, however. We were warned not to order from them, and unfortunately, we did not listen and were totally ripped off, and also had to spend more money to buy another exercise gift for our friend!

No bands sent with Wonder Arms

I bought the two-pack and did not receive the bands that go with it, so it's pretty much useless. I called customer service and they said they didn't have just the bands to send out right now, and they'd have to make a special request to her supervisor. And it could be 10 to 14 days. Doesn't anybody understand good customer service? They should go out of their way to expedite the shipping of my bands and be apologetic for the mistake that they made.

This product is such a scam! They use young girls in good shape to make it look like it works. It doesn't work! You don't have to pay all this money plus shipping and handling from them. I got one on eBay for a LOT less. I'm in good shape myself. I diet and exercise, but I can't get anything to tighten up my arms. I've tried it for more than three months. I do not see not one bit of a difference. This thing is USELESS. Save your money!
