Site interference

By Ted Walker , Sun City West, AZ

I contacted one lady with a message complimenting her for her worldly accomplishments. She said thanks. I expressed my regret we lived so far apart and wished her well. She returned the same to me. Afterwards, I was getting daily, multiple notices she was viewing me. I was curious so asked her if she was viewing me multiple times daily. She said no. It appears to me the site is generating false views, not a good thing for one of these sites to do as it gets folks all excited that someone is interested when they are not. I finally stopped the exchanges by blocking her and removing chat permission. For this reason, I will not recommend this site to anyone unless they like to be misled by this type of interference.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Fraudulent Profiles

By John, Houston, TX, Verified Reviewer

I was with Zoosk for just one week and encountered many fake profiles. Furthermore, I message someone and claims to have never viewed my profile. I decided to cancel soon afterward. Zoosk is still sending me people who said they viewed my profile when they probably did not. Very deceiving. I would not recommend Zoosk to anyone.

Scam

By Chris W., United Kingdom, Verified Reviewer

Having joined Zoosk, I realized quite quickly that I had been scammed into joining. Before you join, your "who's viewed you" screen shows that numerous of the same people are viewing you, but this is NOT the case! Having spoken to the people that supposedly viewed me regularly, they said they only viewed me one time. I am going to do all I can to let as many people know this site is a scam. Thank you for robbing me and scamming me. Good work Zoosk, well done!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Can I choose zero stars?

By Cara E. Wade, Washington, Verified Reviewer

This dating site is an unethical business. Once you pay to sign up, you have to buy coins to communicate with members or buy emojis and pay to see if someone read your message. Also, you pay to have your profile boosted. It is totally a scam.

I called to cancel the account. The service representative was unfriendly and only offered me a partial refund after I brought up that I would complain to the BBB.

Do yourself a favor and do not sign up for this one.

Absolutely a con job

By Jon Hoyer, Cleveland, OH, Verified Reviewer

After reading many of the Zoosk reviews, it's apparent that I should have read them before subscribing. This site is an absolute scam because if you cancel (as I did within a week of joining), you are informed they have a policy of NO REFUNDS. This is unethical and unconscionable. I am going to contact both the BBB and the California Attorney General's office about their deceptive and thieving business practices. I hope at least one person reads this and is dissuaded from joining this corrupt and morally bankrupt service.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Complete scam

By Kim, New Zealand, Verified Reviewer

I was tricked into subscribing when I thought people have messaged me. Turns out they are all automated messages sent by Zoosk, not the members itself. They are started with something like “Thanks. If you are interested or Thanks!” I noticed.

What a complete scam. Very disappointed. Would give negative stars if there would've been an option for it. Now I have to figure out a way to unsubscribe which would be a bloody mission to do considering they are all about scamming your credit cards!

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Don't join

By Erika K., New Jersey, Verified Reviewer

Don't spend your money. It is a scam. They send emails making it seem like there are messages and then when you join it turns out that the messages aren't real. Then when you contact customer service not even a day later, they won't refund the fee. Even their responses sound fake. This was like throwing $30 in the garbage.

Do Not Sign Up!

By Steve , Utah

If you message some users, you'll automatically be sent a automated message from them. Tinder is a better app then this and its free! It actually costs $25 to activate and then $75 for 6 months, ouch.... I would never pay for this pay again... (I'd like to think).

E-mails don't appear to get delivered although I subscribed and paid for that feature.

By James Thompson , Ten Mile, TN

I noticed that no one responds to an email, even though they are listed as a Zoosk member. I complained to support and they blew a line of smoke evading the issue. I sent 31 test e-mails requesting that the person simply acknowledged that they received the e-mail. Not a single person responded and Zoosk customer support ignored the problem indicating by that action this is probably a company policy with the goal to sell e-mail confirmations before allowing delivery. The last complaint I sent was totally ignored. I would think that at least one person would respond since the message indicated a test.

I tried a similar approach on Christian Mingle and received a response after sending only three e-mails.

I don't think any e-mails that I sent through Zoosk have been delivered.

I suggest that a government authority set up male and female accounts on Zoosk, take out subscriptions, and then try sending e-mails. I think there is a high probability they can prove fraud. Maybe you should try this test yourself and publicly post the results.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Zoosk is a scam website.

By Sam Rosberg , West Palm Beach

Zoosk is a scam site, when you open an account there, after a few hours of a day they close the account and never refund you and if you try to contact them, they fail to respond. Be very careful and I advise you look for another dating site and do not patronize Zoosk.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
