Works GREAT! Would really have given it a 4 and 1/2 star because the instructions need to clearly specify that you remove the battery and carefully look at it and remove the shrink wrap plastic around the battery itself, which is very difficult to even detect because it's so form-fitting, in addition, you have to remove the black plastic sleeve around the connection points to get the battery to work. Again, this should be very clearly written on the instruction sheet or on the box. Otherwise, the device works excellent. That is probably why some of the reviews say that the device does not work at all. Because they did not discover how to correctly unwrap the battery and the connection points and put it together so that it worked. My friend has 12 little small dogs in the house and they run in a pack. Once one barks, they all start barking and carrying on. This device worked right away and over the next couple days, they have gotten much quieter and do not jump to start barking and carrying on like they used to and drive you nuts. BarxBuddy REALLY DOES WORK.

She doesn’t know how to react to it yet. She jumps and runs when she sees it in my hand even before I have used it.

I got the BarxBuddy but left for a trip and just got home so haven’t had a chance to really use it. The BarxBuddy arrived in a timely manner. Tried it a few times today and it seemed to stop the barking, but as the instructions say, consistency and rewards when your dog stops barking will help. So if you are looking for a miracle without any effort, don’t purchase.

I need instructions on the installation of the battery. I removed the wrapper but cannot determine how it fits inside. Could you please send instructions? I have never seen one like this. I am anxious to use BarxBuddy!

It appears to work. The dogs stopped barking immediately.

I can just pick it up and they behave. I don't like writing reviews and I especially don't like being required to write a certain number of characters but I decided to write one and include my objections.

Just received it this AM, and both the dogs and I are going through a steep learning curve. They all know papa has a new device and we are tired of all the barking. Give me a week or so, and I think all I will have to do is show them it in my hand and the bad behavior will be gone.

Just received this today. My dog started the relentless barking and immediately stopped when I pressed the button...told her "no bark" and when she didn't start again praised her. I am hoping this is an indication of her controlling her barking.

It is hard to say if it is the BarxBuddy or the NO because we cannot hear the high pitch of the device. We push the button and say NO, and the dog turns and looks at us and stops barking for a time. So I guess either way, if it is the device or the NO, it's a method of training and we'll see if the response continues. We haven't been using too long yet because we had it shipped to our seasonal home. So in general, I would say training is the key and the device is not harmful, so ok to try.

I haven't had the chance to work with my puppies yet. I know the first time I tried it, it scared my little man to death. I don't like anything that scares my little man. He is only 5 pounds and he is the reason I bought the thing to begin with. I don't want anything that will hurt any of my puppies or scare them either. If I don't get a better reaction from my other two puppies I will be sending it back.

Works well with barking dogs (we have two), but it only distracts because of the lights. It does not really train or discourage them from barking. Not sure I would purchase if I knew in advance from someone who had one and told me what it does.

I cannot open the back where the batteries go so I don't even know if I have to buy batteries. There is an arrow that points upward, I can't do it, please advise. I will ask a male friend if he can open the compartment. I am not able to work with my dog as of yet. I cannot give a positive or negative review until I can open the batteries compartment.
