Auto Refill is a Joke

By Kylie Petro, Los Angeles, CA, Verified Reviewer

I never purchase anything based off of an infomercial, but I watched some makeup review videos on IT Cosmetics on YouTube and thought, why not try it. After purchasing the introductory package I thought the makeup was okay, but would not purchase the full package again because there were a few products I did not like. Less than 30 days later, I saw a charge on my credit card for $68.51 (the initial package was around $60). I immediately called and the woman I spoke with was rude and stated that I signed up for auto refill, and that it is on the invoice they sent to me in the first package that states that I need to call to cancel this service. I received no email stating that a package was coming and I would have had no idea if I didn't check my credit card statement. I am completely pissed off because they say ship it back and we will refund the amount of the product but you will have to eat the shipping and returning costs. This is a SCAM, do not buy from them. If you want to try the product, they sell it at Ulta without all the games they play. Completely disappointed in the way their "customer service" handles this problem.

Introductory Kit is a Scam

By Christina, Scottsdale, AZ, Verified Reviewer

I purchased the introductory kit in June. I read customer reviews that state that buried in the fine print you will get two more kits, for a total of three kits. I ordered anyway thinking I would cancel the other two kits if I didn't like the product. Well, I loved the Bye Bye Foundation product, so I kept the following two kits. It is now December, and I noticed It Cosmetics (Tryitnow) has taken 7 payments of $53 - the latest one as of November 30. This is WELL after I received my last (third) kit. These people are scam artists. As much as I absolutely loved the foundation, I will not give them another dime for their misleading business practices. I was told I would be refunded $150 (the cost of the third kit) as soon as they receive it. We will see. I am VERY disappointed. Buyer beware!

Total fraud

By Cindy Barber, Watertown, NY, Verified Reviewer

I ordered this product while watching their Try It Now TV show. I was drawn in by how well the product was supposed to work, and the special price on the makeup kit if I called within the hour.

Once I ordered it, I was told I was locked in at the special price of $39.97 and would receive a new kit every three months for that price.

I was totally unsatisfied with the product and canceled my order, only to find out they are charging me a balance of $79.90. When I called to argue, they claim it's originally more than $100 and I was being billed in payment installments. So untrue, and a total scam!

I am in the process of shipping their kit back and hopefully, they will stick to their word and give me my money back. So disappointed! Time to get ahold of the Attorney General.

Not as said

By Lydia Wilkerson, San Antonio, TX, Verified Reviewer

It is supposed to be makeup, but the powders for pores make my wrinkles look cakey. So I quit using the powders. The "makeup" doesn't stay and settles in creases.

I will give it another week and return the product. I am thinking, is this a scam? Buy other makeup that costs $10.00, it's more affordable.

It's so sad that infomercials presented a miracle that is false. The sales lady on the phone was pushy and would not listen to the customer. It is about the money, not beauty.

I will give it one more week, but the concealer brings out wrinkles under the eyes. Till next week!

Do not buy!

By Win, Wyoming, Verified Reviewer

I, like so many people, bought this on the special price. But I added the extra stuff. I was charged over $50.00.

That was three weeks ago, and like others, I thought it was a month day reshipment. Wrong. I just got hit with another $60.00 for a kit that was the wrong shade. Medium is way too dark, and I had co-workers asking me if I went tanning.

I was told that they would ship the correct color and I could keep the other kit and did not have to ship it back because they could not resell it. Please, please don't buy, it's a rip-off!

No, no, no

By Elle, Hartford, CT, Verified Reviewer

I bought this product because it was advertised to have buildable coverage and I could throw away my cakey foundation.

I used the product for a month (or about two months), and I started getting itchy bumps on my face. It was a total allergic reaction and it gave me a dermatitis rash. I called IT, and they apologized and canceled my order, but it's been four months and the dermatitis is still an issue some days. IT basically ruined my skin, and I'm still working on repairing the damage.

This product does not work

By Kristin Vail, Scranton, PA, Verified Reviewer

I purchased this trial product. I specifically told them that I did not want to be enrolled in the recurring shipments, which I was, and had a very hard time getting my money back.

This product's color is not a good match to the palette they show you. It also does not cover my redness as it did for the woman on TV. I also find that if I sweat or blow my nose, I am constantly getting makeup on my tissues.

I definitely wasted my time and money on this product. Also, the mascara is awful. It cakes and smears around my eyes.

In essence, this line of makeup sucks. Their commercials are truly false advertising.

False advertising

By Christi Allie, Grand Rapids, MI, Verified Reviewer

The price advertised on the infomercial was tied to an auto shipment 30 days later. When I stated that I was interested in trying the product before continuing a future purchase, I was requoted a price of $25 more. This was not stated on the commercial.

Is this legal? It certainly is not ethical!

I have bought other IT Cosmetics at a retail store, but I will not continue to do so, nor will I support a company that does business this way. I am a hairstylist, makeup artist, and business owner. This experience will be shared beyond this review.

Never believe what they say on TV

By Tricia Fisk, Michigan, Verified Reviewer

This product does not work any better than any Walmart makeup.

I have problems with my skin not doing well with most makeups, and I have used Bare Minerals for five years and figured I would try something else. WRONG. I had all kinds of issues after using this product.

I only just now got my skin back to normal and wanted to warn those of you that have problems with your skin becoming red, itchy, and brakes out with harsh products, don't buy this! I would rather spend the extra 20 minutes using a good makeup like Bare Minerals, than have my skin act up after every use.

Everyone is different so some people may really like using Bye Bye Foundation, but then again, those people probably are the ones that have almost perfect skin!

By the way, NEVER wear your makeup to bed; you will regret it sooner than later!

Nothing special

By Monica, San Diego, CA, Verified Reviewer

I get better results with a tinted sunscreen, drugstore concealer and mineral powder. The Bye Bye Foundation was thicker and shinier than I would have liked, the color wasn't a good match, and the finishing powder in the same shade was a TOTAL mismatch.

And of course, the price isn't $39.95 as advertised. It's $39.95 every month, including the two out of every three months when you don't receive any product. I'm hoping it isn't as difficult to cancel and get a refund as people are warning me.
