Great antenna

By Becky H., Houston, TX, Verified Reviewer

I just bought a Clear TV antenna and my TV is next to an inner wall and it works great. I get more channels with it than I did with a bigger antenna in the window. I would definitely recommend it or at least try it.

Length of Use: Less than 3 months

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Pros and Cons

It's compact

It picks up more channels than a larger one

It doesn't have to be in a window

HD Free Clear TV Antennas

By Jyng M., Georgia, Verified Reviewer

HD Clear TV...had it for 8 years now and love it. Cancelled all paid subscriptions and never went back to paid TV. Never! What I found works better for me is the square antenna that hangs in the window works best for us because I assume we have a metal roof. But I get 28 to 32 channels and I can't even watch that much TV anyway. Anyone that can watch more than this is a couch potato anyway.

Love my antenna! Comcast and others that charge for TV are also big political donators that's why we could never get support with problems in our state with these cable companies. They are the most difficult people to deal with. I will never return to cable-paid services. Never again.

For those complaining about bad weather intercepting their services, that happened with Comcast and others all the time. That is normal for bad weather to interfere. Heck, even bad weather interferes with AT&T Internet and cell services as well. I believe that is inevitable. But this antenna is great and will never return to paid subscriptions. I have convinced my coworkers to at least try this for their bedrooms first (that they are paying a cable minimum fees for) to see how they like it. Well, they did and ended up canceling their paid subscriptions as well. I am sure the big monopolies Comcast, Dish, etc. will eventually try to stop this from happening...

Length of Use: 2+ years

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Pros and Cons

Free service with HD

Many channels available

Easy to install, no additional parts to purchase

Did I say no service subscription fees?

Product should note that a metal roof may cause interference, square antenna that hangs in window works best with metal roof

Best Antenna

By Cindh , Mooresville, NC

I bought Clear TV to replace my rabbit ears that I purchased at Walmart. I had a signal strength of 25/30, now with Clear TV I have 75/80. I only had to plug it onto my converter box. I LOVE this product and plan to buy more for the bedrooms.

Worth the wait

By David Weiser , Huntsville, Alabama

I ordered in the first week of December and got it in the middle of January. Not a good start. But it was worth it. My first impression on looking at this product (made in China) made me believe this won't work at all. It's a thin square unassuming 8x8 inch piece of plastic with a lead wire in the back that you simply stick into the back of your antenna plug in the back of your TV. That's all it is. The only confusing part may come when you program your TV. But it works! The picture is as good as the satellite connection I said goodbye to. I experienced some intermittent signal drop-out on rare occasions.

Recently received

By Roni , Clarendon Hills/Westmont Il

I originally saw the commercial for this product and well after reading the reviews I decided not to order. However my father did go ahead and purchase this product under the buy one get one free promo. He installed one at his home and one at my home which is in a different cities. The first day of scanning for channels we both was able to get at least 20 channels which wasn't bad because the product states you can receive local available channels. My father then decided to rescan our TV to see if we will pick up more channels, well we did. The only bad thing is the shipping time is long and you must make sure you properly connect everything. Oh and remember its an antenna and it function like any other antenna. Him and I both will be ordering two more for our other TVs.

Surprised at the great reception

By Nancy , Indianapolis, IN

I refuse and honestly can't afford expensive cable so was looking for an alternative. I bought a converter box with standard rabbit ears and got home free channels but not all that I should. My dad ordered the Clear TV antenna and I was afraid he had wasted his money. It was much easier to install than the box and it doubled the local free stations I got. I'm very happy with the reception and would advise buying one. The only negative is I can foresee it breaking easily because it is a very thin plastic. Overall I say it's a buy.

Homeowner who pays too much for cable.

By Paul , Florida

Just ordered the Clear TV antenna; however at the very end it says to call an 800 number to get a $50 Walmart gift card. Let me tell you it is not free. they want to sign you up for a 30-day trial offer, so be careful.

I like it because

By Claudia , Bellingham, CA

I receive 10 to 12 channels from one location in my house and 5 from another. All stations are clear as a bell. I live close to Vancouver Canada and receive many of the programs there. I am in a semi rural area, and it gave me as much or more than the more expensive antennas.

Not as bad as I thought

By Jeff , Bridgeport, CT

I saw Clear TV Antenna at K-Mart. I just bought this as a stab in the dark. Worst case scenario? I would return it to K-Mart for a refund. But I did not have any problems with it. I got 24 channels, which is not bad at all. I would recommend buying it at a department store because if something doesn't work, then you can return it for a refund no problem.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

No need for Pay TV

By Paul Pera , Kenmore, NY

Easy mounting for window location. Great reception for channels broadcast from our Canadian neighbors to the north. HOWEVER, I do believe the commercial if very misleading to imply that you will receive "hundreds" of free channels. The original price is too steep to justify purchasing at that price, however I am very pleased with the performance for the online price of 14.95 with free shipping. I'm sure the price will come down even further. Great to use with something like Netflix.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
