Concering my purchase

By Eboni Wells, Loveland, OH, Verified Reviewer

I was unable to get in touch with any customer service representative and still cannot locate me order. This got me wondering on the ethics of this company. I hope to hear back real soon because I still don't have my order yet they took the money off of my credit card.

If It Sounds Too Good To Be True, It Probably Is.

By Arletta, Dixmoor, Illinois, Verified Reviewer

What do people think they're getting? A $10.00 antenna. It's not Comcast. When you buy a product like this, you should expect to get ONLY some local channels. I installed my antenna, and I didn't get any reception. Once I twisted the antenna towards a window, I got all local channels except CBS. Why send it back. Keep playing with the antenna. If it doesn't work, just throw the damn thing in the garbage and write it off as a loss.

You have to be realistic

By Angela Brown, Pennsylvania, Verified Reviewer

When I purchased this, I lived in Washington, Pennsylvania. I was a single parent who could not afford cable but wanted to receive the local channels clearly. When I bought it, it was on special, and I thought 40 bucks was worth it for the two TVs. It gave me 5 channels when I could not afford any.

Being in the mountains drastically reduced my reception. I have not tried it in Jacksonville, but if you're looking to eliminate a cable bill because you're struggling then get rid of cable, you can at least enjoy a couple of regular channels until things improve. A few channels is better than no channels when you are financially challenged.

Most everyone has WiFi these days and if you have WiFi join Netflix because it's cheaper than cable. This product is not perfect but it really depends on the job you're trying to complete and how you look at whether it is a good deal or not. For me, it provided just enough for my daughter to go without having nothing.

My bottom line is yes, I would recommend it to her friend but the experience of how many channels is different from person to person and how much effort they put into finding the best location. Just because your TV is set up in a specific spot, it doesn't mean that's the best spot for the antenna. You may have to move the TV around so that you can move the antenna too and face it in the best direction to pick up the most.

In recommending the product I would explain how I felt in the conversation and then let the person decide where they are in life and what they really need. What we all need is some competition no matter what state you live in for the cable companies. If a few more cable companies would come out just like with the cell phones, the wars would begin, and we would begin getting better prices. Of course, if all of us would remove cable TV from our homes, in a couple of months, as they are going bankrupt, they would begin offering better prices.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Disappointment

By Bill M., Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, Verified Reviewer

Before I ordered my antenna, I inquired as to what dig channels are available in my area. No one would answer that? We have three domestic dig channels in Nova Scotia: Global, CBC, and CTV. I am getting them with a 6-foot piece of coaxial cable screwed into the back of a flatscreen TV and other end stripped down to copper wire. Three channels come in 95% perfect all the time. I was hoping with your antenna, I was expecting to get some extra channels (preferably US). No, still the three Canadian channels. Didn't need to buy this antenna...no improvement.

Now I have the answer to my original? If CRTC told TV networks to release their dig signals unblocked, nothing new happened here in Nova Scotia. Someone should inform people in Atlantic Canada about this.

Best Antenna

By Cindh , Mooresville, NC

I bought Clear TV to replace my rabbit ears that I purchased at Walmart. I had a signal strength of 25/30, now with Clear TV I have 75/80. I only had to plug it onto my converter box. I LOVE this product and plan to buy more for the bedrooms.

Worth the wait

By David Weiser , Huntsville, Alabama

I ordered in the first week of December and got it in the middle of January. Not a good start. But it was worth it. My first impression on looking at this product (made in China) made me believe this won't work at all. It's a thin square unassuming 8x8 inch piece of plastic with a lead wire in the back that you simply stick into the back of your antenna plug in the back of your TV. That's all it is. The only confusing part may come when you program your TV. But it works! The picture is as good as the satellite connection I said goodbye to. I experienced some intermittent signal drop-out on rare occasions.

Recently received

By Roni , Clarendon Hills/Westmont Il

I originally saw the commercial for this product and well after reading the reviews I decided not to order. However my father did go ahead and purchase this product under the buy one get one free promo. He installed one at his home and one at my home which is in a different cities. The first day of scanning for channels we both was able to get at least 20 channels which wasn't bad because the product states you can receive local available channels. My father then decided to rescan our TV to see if we will pick up more channels, well we did. The only bad thing is the shipping time is long and you must make sure you properly connect everything. Oh and remember its an antenna and it function like any other antenna. Him and I both will be ordering two more for our other TVs.

Surprised at the great reception

By Nancy , Indianapolis, IN

I refuse and honestly can't afford expensive cable so was looking for an alternative. I bought a converter box with standard rabbit ears and got home free channels but not all that I should. My dad ordered the Clear TV antenna and I was afraid he had wasted his money. It was much easier to install than the box and it doubled the local free stations I got. I'm very happy with the reception and would advise buying one. The only negative is I can foresee it breaking easily because it is a very thin plastic. Overall I say it's a buy.

Homeowner who pays too much for cable.

By Paul , Florida

Just ordered the Clear TV antenna; however at the very end it says to call an 800 number to get a $50 Walmart gift card. Let me tell you it is not free. they want to sign you up for a 30-day trial offer, so be careful.

I like it because

By Claudia , Bellingham, CA

I receive 10 to 12 channels from one location in my house and 5 from another. All stations are clear as a bell. I live close to Vancouver Canada and receive many of the programs there. I am in a semi rural area, and it gave me as much or more than the more expensive antennas.
